Hi guys
Oh cool
When the fanfic has a trope where its like the main character/other character like a villain has this meaningful backstory, but instead of the backstory effecting the character in any way, its completely irrelevant
What are y'all even talm abt
hi
Quick yap season but Christian Yosts Animated Marvel Universe is the best animated iteration of marvel. Avenger EMH, Spectacular Spiderman and the animated X Men (2000s) are some of the msot praised marvel animated shows, and on top of that with the Wolverine Vs Hulk and Hulk vs Thor movies, it makes for a stacked universe with amazing action. EMH is praised for having some of the best adaptations of Captain America, Hulk, Thor and Hank Pym and Janet Dan Vyne. like MCU ruined Hank and Hulk, and the way Hank was adapted is way better than the direction they went in the MCU and the later comics, saved his character for a few years. and then spectacular spider-man, holy, just a quick search on youtube will tell you everything you need to know.. anyways amazing animated universe you should watch it ALL if you want to learn how to properly write heroes and villains.
I can write I can yap
Sounds like a knock off daredevil story ngl. To build a proper hero backstory, you don't always need death or grief. Ofc a death and grief story for a powerless hero makes sense, but you can use many other things. For example, one of my own custom characters is a drugy, and he's nearly killed in an invasion of earth, but his life eis saved by an ancient egyptian Totem, turns out the Totem is a killer and he has to fight himself to save his family from the Totem that takes control of his body, he faces his morals and himself, and decides after words of motivation, that he realizes he has to control his power, not let it overrun him, so as he seperates his life, he fights a civil war within himself between the side that wants to redeem himself after doing some bad stuff using the Totem, vs the Totem who wants to kill.
Tl;Dr: a hero backstory doesn't need to be tragic, use other tropes like redemption, enforced heroism, and just pure goodness.
any of yall listen to gunna
