They realized Mr.Mime was terrifying to kids. So they decided to terrify the adults with his typings.
The problem is there are no current pokemon that can take advantage of that except the corpse of the legendary dragon himself, and with a switch 1 gen 5 remake being shot that's a bit of a process to get, and designing a pokemon or group of pokemon to counter an entire type has back fired before. Also why psychic resist poison is the tradition of real life poison resistance being a sign of magic. Remember this was before magic was associated with fairy type.
@Hydreigon 3 Contextually fairy being as busted as it is is kinda dumb in the 1st place. Also pokemon doesn't think that's what the ice type is for.

Also it's important types keep there identities because of my second point. Keeping it from becoming a game of pure chance and deception. This is also why we need more defense pokemon.
@Hydreigon 3 because the type that is the real version of the thing being super effective against it is a bit of a theme in the type chart. Also it would fit with bugs initial idea of being the glass cannon type.
It needs to fix it's core mechanics like the unbalanced type chart. Or, the fact high level play might as well be liars dice.

I don't like roaming pokemon either (I'm very unlucky and always get ambushed), and what is PLA. All I'm thinking of is the Chinese civil war.
They announce the next game has mega evolutions, so your stuck with BDSP as your comfort game for the next three years at least.
Should I get something with three pokemon I want, or one but has more packs.

I think it's more important to keep new players from messing up there evs than being competitively viable.
Wouldn't pokemon yellow mean we had a electric starter before.

Play pokemon where each pokemon could have an unlimited number of types (You could met a charizard that's fire, fire flying, or fire flying dragon). Or 3D mystery with dark souls controls.
Still power creep problem.
