Bushido - Kingambit (bushido is the way of the samurai)

Bondi - Gholdengo (I looked up surfer names and Bondi was there, plus it's a covalent bond joke since, y'know, gold)

Louis - Skeledirge (after the crocodile in Princess and the Frog)

Murray - Raichu (I won a Raichu plushie at a food truck event from a midway game and had watched Ghostbusters the night before, so his name's a reference to Bill Murray and all my Raichus in-game are named after the plushie)

Ray - Chimecho (another Ghostbusters reference, this time for Dan Akroyd's character)

Pearl - Scream Tail (named after Pearl Houzuki from Splatoon)

Marina - Lopunny (named after Marina Ida from Splatoon)

Pinto - Shiny Falinks (I thought their feet look like little beans, so all the little guys are named after beans! The leader is Pinto, then there's Coffee, Lima, Chickpea, Black-Eye, and Cannellini)

I buy singles of my favorite cards in the set, and even then that's only if they aren't stupid expensive

Appearance: A Shiny Leafeon with a pair of Safety Goggles resting on her forehead, with the little leaf curl poking out on top.

Pokemon team: n/a

Background: An explorer with an affinity for adventure. She wandered into the circus, wanting to explore it as well, and her energetic, outgoing nature made her want to talk to the Pokemon within it. Cheerful and peppy, she was named for her warm personality, and her fondness of the sun. She can communicate with Pokemon just fine, but her communication with humans is very limited to gestures and sounds

Are you a performer or audience member?: Audience member, she wandered in because she was curious

Moves and items: Sunny Day, Leaf Blade, Swords Dance, X-Scissor, with the Safety Goggles as an item

Weapons: (optional, you can only have one or two, not overpowered.)

Age: about 24? It's hard to tell

Name: Alloy

Appearance: A Porygon-Z with gold where the red should be, and silver where the blue should be. It has patterns resembling a motherboard on its robotic body

Pokemon team: n/a

Background: A "freak" Porygon-Z, who's really just a robot. Alloy can communicate well with both humans and Pokemon alike, using its database of several languages to both speak and understand different Pokemon languages and English. Its true desire is to add more knowledge to its database, wanting more data than any computer. Personality-wise, it's known to be snarky, prone to slacking, and a show-off, but it buries a very human sense of empathy and love beneath its caustic exterior

Are you a performer or audience member?: Performer, as a "freak" act. Alloy will speak to audience members in English and communicate with their Pokemon in the species' language

Moves and items: Lock-On, Zap Cannon, Tri Attack, Agility

Weapons: A self-defense system that electrocutes anyone who threatens it and makes physical contact

I liked BDSP, but that's because I've never played Diamond and Pearl. If I had played Pearl I probably would've disliked Shining Pearl a lot more in comparison

She grinned upon seeing the nod. "Pepper, eh? Nice name. I wish the folks who named me had been a bit more creative."

She laid down next to Silver and Sapphire, watching the rest of the group and folding her arms across her chest.

"Evening, mister." She waved to Pepper.

Libre huffed. "Weirdo."

"That's none of your business."

She leapt out of the way. "I don't know. Why would I know that?"

"What? I don't have anyone's ID."

"Could you just leave us alone? You've clearly been following us."

Libre's eye was twitching and she prepared a Thunderbolt.

"I don't need to evolve, but thanks."
