Today is March 3rd, the birthday of Yellow!
An original character made for the Pokémon Adventures manga; Yellow is one of the four Pokédex holders of the Kanto Region. Her special ability to heal Pokémon gives her the title of "Healer".
Yellow, or Amarillo del Bosque Verde, was born in Viridian Forest. As a result, she has special powers. These powers allow her to heal Pokémon and listen to their thoughts.
She actually first appeared when Red helped her catch a Pokémon. However, Green later recruited her to help stop the Elite Four when Red went missing, telling her to disguise herself as a boy. First, she went to Professor Oak and borrowed Red’s Pokedex and Pikachu. Next, she earned the support of Blue, Brock, Misty, Erika and Blaine. At last, Yellow found herself mingled into the Elite Four's evil scheme in wiping out humanity and creating a utopia for Pokémon. The final battle took place on Cerise Island, she managed to defeat Lance on Cerise Island using her powers and deciding to accept her evolved Pokémon. During this time, Lugia appeared, so her Uncle Wilton suggested that she go to Johto to find out more about it. She borrowed Red’s Pikachu officially this time and got her own, they had an egg that Gold hatched.
She had also received the Silver and Rainbow Wings that were in her hat from Green, so when she visited the Burned Tower, which accidentally released Raikou, Suicune, and Entei. After meeting Crystal, the girls went to Whirl Islands, where she discovered the Pokémon Lance had summoned. Eventually, she made it to Ilex Forest, where she was forced to reveal her true gender to Red, Crystal and Gold so they could save Gold from being trapped in time. However, it was these actions that helped them defeat the Masked Man once and for all.
2 years after the Mask of Ice incident, while the three Pallet trainers struggled against Deoxys and Team Rocket at the Sevii Islands, Yellow decided to visit the Viridian Gym, and fatefully encountered Silver instead, who was there to learn about his past and possible hometown. Using her ability to read minds, Yellow saw the image of Giovanni's statue in Sneasel's memory, and later the two were completely astonished when the Three Beasts of Team Rocket revealed Silver to be the long-lost son of Giovanni. As Silver was taken away, Yellow gave chase and soon found herself on board the Team Rocket Battle Airship. There, she encountered Red and Deoxys Organism No. 2, which she mind read to reveal the shocking connection shared between the DNA Pokémon and Red. When the airship started to fail, Red sent Yellow and Mewtwo away in a black hole. She fell asleep due to too much of her mind reading, but when the battle was over, Red gave her his old Pokedex. However, while still unconscious, she was turned to stone with the Silver and the other Kanto Pokedex Holders while they and Mewtwo protected Deoxys from Sird. The five were transported to the Hoenn Battle Frontier and were not revived by Jirachi until Emerald realized his true feelings. She then took part in defeating the Kygore Guile Hideout summoned by having Pichu and the two Pikachus use Volt Tackle. Then she participated in a Battle Dome tournament and lost to Emerald.
What happened to her after that is unknown, but Petrel apparently defeated Lance by disguising himself as her. I sure hope she appears in the future; it’s been such a long time and I kind of like her.
