The grand underground is so extensive and so large that it seems unlikely that it would extend only under the sinnoh/hisui regions. Which other regions might it extend into?
I’ve never been able to decide on a favourite Pokemon but there are some I almost always include when I can. Lucario, garchomp, hawlucha, gastrodon, hydreigon, and a few others. Recent additions to this list are ursaluna and gholdengo. Legendary Pokemon are very powerful but they are available so late in most games that you can’t really use them enough to know what they could really do. That said mewtwo is one Pokemon I urge anyone who has the opportunity to catch. Save your masterball for mewtwo cause it’s nearly impossible to catch with any lesser pokeball
Firstly I’d like to thank brilliant diamond and shining pearl for making the grand underground more than just a vast mining area but a subterranean training ground for ones Pokemon as well. It also seems unlikely that such a place would extend only under the sinnoh/hisui regions. Some regions would be problematic. Hoenn for example is about half oceanic which would mean the ceiling in those parts under the ocean would be much more unstable than not. Especially under routes 132 through 134 where the currents would make it extremely unsafe to tunnel under those areas. Most of the other main series regions would suit the grand underground very well especially unova cause it already has a subway/battle train which if it doesn’t intersect with the grand underground would be very dumb
The grand underground is so extensive and so large that it seems unlikely that it would extend only under the sinnoh/hisui regions. Which other regions might it extend into?
I thought of this very recently but such an immense place could not be entirely manmade. More likely the various rock, ground, steel, and other Pokémon associated with the subterranean world made it throughout the course of their lives and later humans would stumble across it and make it into what it then became. For example onix, steelix, drillbur, excadrill, drudigon, and other Pokémon created the beginnings of this great underground structure.

@MegaAmphaRime I made a google sheets chart showing how big and heavy alpha megas would be. granted there are few pokemon that fit both categories (mega evolutions that also have alpha forms) but it was still a worthwhile thing to make. albeit very exacting and possibly not completely accurate
According to its mega Pokédex entry mega heracross can lift 500 times its own weight which if you crunch the numbers means it’s alpha mega could lift a little over 85 tons whereas it’s normal mega could lift 34.45 tons which is still very impressive. Which means that if I did the numbers right all the way through means that alpha mega heracross could lift ALL the gigantamax pokemon at the same time (including eternamax eternatus) and still be able to lift 20 tons more and change
With the announcement of Pokémon legends za comes the possibility of porting alpha Pokemon from legends arceus and getting their mega evolutions. Considering alphas are normally much bigger than is typical of their species that presents some fascinating possibilities
What specialist are you?
I wouldn’t specialize in a given type although I normally have at least two dragon types on my team whenever possible. That being said, I would not have any moves that solely inflict a status condition, introduce terrains, create entry hazards, or lower the stats of my opponent. Instead my team (as has always been the case) would have all attacks that would provide coverage for any weaknesses (type or otherwise) that they have, provide STAB bonuses, and fit with the natural character of the pokemon in question. For example hawlucha is the wrestling pokemon so aside from it's signature flying press attack I’d teach it iron head, x scissor, and thunder punch, since it's a physically oriented pokemon I’d give it vitamins to boost it's speed to the max along with it's attack and defense, and give it it's hidden ability unburden along with a lum berry to hold (that way if it got a status condition the berry would heal it and it's speed would double in the process). My team would all be at least level 70 as well
What kind of trainer are you?
I’d battle fiercely but always try to play smart. For example if my opponent was using mostly physical attacks I’d send a team member that could weather them while dealing damage via both it's moves and ability. Garchomp with rough skin and holding the rocky helmet for example. My style would be relentless but with the same philosophy as Leon had in his battle with each Ash. that is if a team member fainted it would be because I allowed that to happen so that the next would finish the pokemon responsible off. That way the “overall win comes from the whole team”. If my opponent managed to win regardless then they will have truly been put through the ringer and will have thoroughly earned their victory.
Are you a gym leader or elite four member?
I wouldn’t be either. I’d wonder the pokemon world looking for the strongest pokemon, befriending them, challenging them to battles, and (if they allowed it) catching them. I’d also seek out the strongest trainers in the world and challenge them as well (Ash I’d love to battle, Leon too, and Alain of course).
Where do you live?
I wouldn’t have a fixed residence. I’d set up camp wherever I could.
Are you a coordinator or performer?
Neither. I have no patience for pokemon contests or the like. After all from what I’ve seen of them they seem to be more about style and razzle than actual substance.
Which legendary pokemon do you want to catch?
Well i’ve caught many legendary pokemon over the years they’re all amazing but the legendary I’d want the most would be mewtwo. It's the second strongest pokemon in existence (aside from arceus of course) so it would be the pokemon I’d seek out most determinately. I caught the mewtwo in pokemon X and I’ve almost never had occasion to regret it. I’ve transferred it to every pokemon game I’ve played since (alpha sapphire, sun and ultra sun, sword, and most recently sword) and it's become my second most decorated pokemon but without a doubt my most powerful.
Which region is your favorite to travel?
I’m split between two regions: those being Alola and Kalos. Alola cause of the poke pelago and cause one can use mega evolution, primal reversion, and z moves there (all in the battle if one wants). Kalos cause of the pokemon chateau where not only can you gain noble titles but by doing so gain access to various writs that allow one to battle endlessly (making a ton of money in the process).
Which travel companion do you want to go?
I’d travel alone save for my pokemon but they and I would travel the pokemon world over. That being said I’d have one of my pokemon out of its pokeball whenever possible
Which place do you like to train and rest?
I’d train myself and my pokemon constantly. Just traveling provides good training. I’d also set up tournaments of sorts between my pokemon (1 on 1, 2 on 2, 3 on 3, and culminating in a free for all). I wouldn’t direct these tournaments except to provide food and healing items to my pokemon until they couldn’t keep battling any more.
Which type of pokemon do you dislike?
Well I don’t like pokemon whose movepool focuses more on status moves and other weak moves than actual attacks. Thankfully most Pokémon aren’t that bad but I’m still very selective about those I catch. Sometimes I’ll catch a strong Pokémon just so I can breed them than I’ll release the parent Pokémon.
What is your real goal?
May goal has always been to create the strongest team possible that I can use across as many regions as possible. I’ve caught and trained many powerful Pokemon in pursuit of that goal. Thanks to the scarlet and violet DLCs I’ve been able to use several Pokémon I’ve had in storage for many years. Others are in hibernation but hopefully I’ll be able to use them in the upcoming game.
Which villain team do you battle?
I’d battle all of them. Some are not evil necessarily but merely misguided but nonetheless I’d battle them anyway. May battles would be unlike any they’d had before cause I’d either devastate them and their hq or keep batting till the team was annihilated. I’d probably save team rocket for last since Jessie and James are more comic relief then actual threats. Plus Giovanni mistreated Mewtwo and I’d take may time making him pay for that
Who is your rival?
May rival would be anyone strong enough to make me fight all out (using every Pokemon mechanic I know) which I imagine being very very rare. Leon would be one such, ash another, Alain, Tobias.
Firstly i've been a huge fan of aegislash since its introduction but i do have one small complaint/observation about the royal sword pokemon. In the games and the anime aegislash is depicted as floating when stationary or performing telekinesis to move all of which puts it above ground level. Yet one of aegislash's type weaknesses is ground which would only be feasible/possible were aegislash to become embedded in the ground which only unconventional battlers like Ash would even think of. What's up with that. That is pretty much my only problem with this magnificent steel/ghost type. I hope aegislash becomes accessible in the next phase of scarlet and violet as I cannot wait to let mine lose after its been affectively asleep for nearly a decade.
Advanced cloning tech that also enhances its subject.
You’ve got to be kidding me. Ash is just as emblematic of Pokémon as pikachu maybe a little more so. Remove ash as the protagonist and you’ll lose fans like me that’ve been loyal practically since Pokémons debut
Well mine's not a fusion persay but I'd love to see gallade wielding aegislash as a sword and shield
To be honest i've been playing pokemon since about a year or so after it first came out as a game so I can't remember why I first got into it. Most likely it was because my parents friends kids were all playing it and my parents were subtly pressured into buying it too. I know this much though. Pokemon has helped me develop a strategic mind, a sense of when to allow ones opponent to think they've gained the advantage when you're tempting them to let their guard down, a love of testing oneself and ones pokemon agnaist others and finding out whose better prepared and better trained. It's also made me a battle maniac who detests needless conflict. But above virtually all else the games taught me the value of preparation and of studying the situation as closely as possible to figure out a plan and finally the value of contingencies. There is always something to learn from ones opponent even while doing battle with them (no matter what form that battle might take or whom ones enemy or opponent happens to be).
My request is not a fusion per say but I would like to see malamar wearing mega steelix esque armor. Please and thank you
To be completely honestly I’ve never been one to judge best but I have compiled a list of candidates. Near the top would be mewtwo (primarily because it, along with Mew) are the oldest legendary Pokémon in the franchise and therefore the most experienced, also on that list would be arceus of course since he (according the in universe information) created the Pokémon universe, other entries would be regigigas (the creator of the five golem Pokémon: regice, Regirock, registeel, and their dragon and electric brethren), rayquaza, and other such titans of the different regions. But arceus is right at the top since he created the Pokémon universe and continues to watch over and guide it albeit with a nearly undetectable hand.
Well firstly I haven’t trained that many onix but steelix has been a mainstay of my team since X/Y and I deeply respect how strong and tough they can be if trained properly but as with anything that potential can very easily be squandered. It’s only a shame that mega evolution hasn’t been extended beyond X/Y because just imagine what battle possibilities that alone would unlock. Alpha mega steelix would be essentially unstoppable, not just the iron snake pokemon but the adamantium snake Pokémon.
What specialist are you?
Honestly I don't think I'd have a specialty but if i had to choose one i’d choose either steel or psychic types. Steel because it's immunity to poison types has proven highly useful since it's introduction to the pokemon universe and because of such steel specimens as steelix, lucario, and corviknight. Psychic primarily because of specimens like gardevoir and malamar. That said I make a point of teaching my pokemon as broad and comprehensive a movepool as possible. For instance i’d teach steelix bulldoze and iron head to benefit from a STAB bonus while also providing nice coverage (rock, electric, poison, fire, ice, and fairy being covered between these two moves alone) but also ice fang (to cover steelix ground weaknesses while also covering flying types) along with rock slide.
What kind of trainer are you?
I'm not entirely sure what it meant by this but I train my pokemon to be not only supremely powerful but also supremely tough whenever this is realistically possible. I train my pokemon against all manner of opponents, in all weathers, and in as wide a variety of conditions as possible. That said before I start their formal training I try to maximize their most prominent stats and give them the best possible moveset only changing it should they learn worthwhile moves through evolution. I do not believe in coddling pokemon so I will not heal my pokemon outside of battle unless I think it's necessary. I will also allow my opponent to defeat one of my pokemon if it's sufficiently weak because healing a pokemon sacrifices an attack opportunity.
Are you a gym leader or elite four member?
Honestly I don’t think much of most gym leaders or so called elite four with a very few exceptions. Namely Vaulkner of the Sinnoh Region because he is an electric specialist his team is not exclusively composed of them so he has the potential to surprise the unprepared and not sufficiently wary. As for the elite four most of them I don’t think deserve that lofty designation especially the Hoenn Four cause frankly they are the weakest Four out of any (whether it's the original games or the remakes). So I'd be neither but rather I’d be a wanderer that travels the pokemon world.
Where do you live?
I’d split my time between Alola, Galar, and Kalos. Alola because of the battle tree and z moves not to mention hunting the island guardians and ultra beasts. Galar because of dyna and gigantamax. And kalos because of the Battle Chateau and the potential to virtually mine fortunes unfold there.
Which legendary pokemon do you want to catch?
Of all the legendary pokemon Mewtwo and Arceus are the ones I’d most like to have battle together. Combine the most fearsome pokemon, the creator of the pokemon universe, and an intellect containing nearly 20 years of pokemon experience and a self trained strategist and tactician and you’ve got a combination that is all but unbeatable.
Which region is your favorite to travel to?
See question 4 as the answers to both are virtually identical.
Which travel companion do you want to go to?
My only travel companions would be my pokemon although I might enter a correspondence with various worthy trainers from across the globe.
Which place do you like to train and rest?
Honestly I’d split my time between the Battle Chateau in the Kalos region and the wild area in the Galar. That way my team would learn the thrill of battle, I’d make fortunes enough to make them as powerful as I could ever dream, and we could habituate to battling a virtually limitless variety of opponents.
Which type of pokemon do you dislike?
I detest pokemon that lack anything resembling actual attacks. For instance I’ve never taught my pokemon moves that exclusively lower stats and inflict stat conditions unless it was to battle pokemon i wanted to catch. I also hate moves like recover. That said I am a fan of moves like magical leaf that not only have broad type coverage but if one is facing multiple opponents at once can target all of them and are undodgeable unless you're using moves like dive and fly. Flash cannon, scald, waterfall, bulldoze, and so on also check most of these same qualifications and consequently are go toes for me.
What is your real goal?
My pokemon goal has always been two - fold. Firstly to build the strongest team possible from across as many regions as possible. Secondly to battle opponents that provide as comprehensive a challenge as possible. I’ve collected pokemon from across the pokemon world over the years and have some whom it scarcely be an exaggeration to call veterans. For example I’ve got a Swampert I’ve had since way back in Alpha and Omega and that since has become a champion in four different regions. I’ve got a Delphox that’s a veteran of Battle Chateau, Kalos Elite Four, and the Alolan Battle Tree and a champion of all three. But the pokemon i’m the most proud of is my Mewtwo (caught using the master ball in X and Y as Mewtwo was the only pokemon from game worthy of such an honour) whom I named August after the second roman emperor (I consider Gaius Julius Caesar the first since he effectively was emperor in all but name) and my Malamar whom I trained to be positively lethal. In fact I'd put out a challenge of every trainer in the Pokemon world with the following terms: If you can comprehensively defeat me while I'm using my ultimate team and not folding anything back (ie employing mega-evolution, z moves, dyna and gigantamaxing, and strong style moves) then I will retire and never battle again and they will win my complete fortune along with the distinction of having faced such a challenge.
Which villain team do you battle?
I’d travel the pokemon world battling all the villainous teams (rocket on up) but mostly I’d track down those who hunt and traffick pokemon and let my pokemon punish them before handing them over to the authorities for official punishment.
Who is your rival?
My rivals would be Alain, Steven the Hoenn champion, Palmer of the Sinnoh battle tower, and other trainers of a similar echelon.
Honestly I don’t really have a least favorite Pokémon but there is certainly some moves I despise recover most of all. I’m also not a fan of this tendency the Pokémon games have to make certain Pokémon useable for only three generations at most before their essentially disallowed thereafter. I know there’s probably good reasons for it but even so it’s infuriating. Plus it never ceases to astonish me that Pokémon at the frontier facilities are given movesets that are to put it bluntly myopic. Any trainer should give their Pokémon as comprehensive a move set as possible. For example in sword I taught urshifu aerial ace and iron head for coverage
Well I’m perfectly willing to admit that my go to starter for a while was whichever is fastest but in the last several years I’ve revised that somewhat. For example I went with turtwig as my SP starter because I remembered how much difficulty chimchar has in the sinnoh region (especially agnaist the elite four and sinnoh legendary trio). I’ve never had cause to regret doing so especially since Torterra was strong enough hold it’s own agnaist Cynthia on my first attempt at the elite four (which while very expensive was nonetheless successful). My other Pokémon were Luxray (whom is practically retired now), Altaria (the first of my sinnoh team to reach lv 100), Lucario (who is practically standard for sinnoh), and gastrodon. I must admit I’d forgotten how powerful an opponent Cynthia was but she gave me a bruising reminder. Most of her team was relatively easy but her lucario, roserade, and garchomp are truly strong. Roserade was the biggest surprise, a plant pokemon with dazzling gleam was a stroke of genius.
