Im sure its been done before, and i know theres a guy on YT who made some sick designs, but im not watching that video. So this is all 100% my own, inasmuch as a roleswap like this can be.
Man I wish I could draw for this.
#0716 National Pokedex Entry: Yveltal
Type: Fairy/Flying
Species: Life Pokemon
Ability: Fairy Aura
Signature Move: Healing Gust
Before its revival, this Pokémon slept 1000 years in the form of an egg. When its wings glow in the seven colors of the rainbow, It can restore the most devastated lands... or even grant eternal life.
Appearance: The harsh reds of Yveltal, Pokemon of Death are replaced with the deep, peaceful blues of the Xerneas of Life. The black lines in the center of its body are replaced by the pale colors of Life Xerneas's Neutral Form. the "fingers" on the wings and tail are replaced by thin, nearly translucent feathers of the same color. The lines and feathers glow in various colors when using its power. The fur around its neck is white and more fluffy, akin to Altaria. Its claws and horns are smaller and the same color as Xerneas's horns/leg accents.
Overall, a slightly smaller and less intimidating version of Yveltal with less harsh lines. Very colorful when powered up.
#0717 National Pokedex Entry: Xerneas
Type: Dark
Species: Death Pokemon
Ability: Dark Aura
Signature Move: Call of Death
Every 1000 years, it is said that this Pokémon rises from the ground in the most lifeless lands, before spreading death and destruction in its wake. When the blood red crystals in its antlers begins to glow, it sucks the life force out of all living things around it. And when it dies, all that hear its final cry drop to the ground, dead.
Appearance; The soft blues of Xerneas are replaced by the harsh red of the Yveltal of Death. The leg accents are dark grey, its fur matted and disheveled. There is no skin or fur upon its head, merely a deer-like skull and hollow, lifeless eye sockets. It antlers are jet black. Sharp, and curled akin to a bramble bush, interspersed with bloodred crystals that glow when powered up.
I imagine this design as the apex of every wendigo or deer like cryptid. A creature that clearly look like it spends 90% of its time not among the living, and upon looking at it, you KNOW death is imminent. i like to imagine bird Pokémon carcasses caught in its bramble antlers as well, just to sell it. perhaps they stick out of the ground some time before its revival, already ready to kill any unfortunate bird that lands on them.
