Shoutout to Bois for being yet another absolutely busted early game trade, and having insane lategame coverage

They've always stumped me, ya know? I mean, what about getting given away to a new trainer suddenly makes a Pokemon want to evolve?

I mean, just imagine it. You have a Graveler. You've been raising it since it was a little Geodude, and you loved it every second of the time you were together. But it never evolved into it's final form

Years go by, and still, no Golem. So, one day, a friend asks you to do a trade. You feel inadequate to raise your Graveler, seeing how it hasn't evolved yet. So, with a heavy heart, you trade it away

And then as soon as it's given to your friend, it goes and evolves!! All that time, wasted. Blood, sweat, and tears, poured into evolving your friend, all for not.

And also, trade evolutions that require items make less sense!! You're telling me that my Poliwhirl can't evolve unless it feels like a king? And my Porygon 2 can't evolve unless it feels a little dubious??

I guess GamFreak saw how stupid Trade Evos were, so they stopped after Gen 6. But still, I think they were interesting nonetheless

To those who put out trade offers on Pokémon Home, could you please not put in impossible trade requests. i.e. A Hisuian Pokémon from Sword and Shield or BDSP. There are some Pokémon that just don’t come from certain games.

I think judging from that title, I'm simply not allowed to evolve. But that raises the questions of what non-basic stage mons I should be allowed to catch:

-Single Stage mons, such as Klawf, Squawkabilly and Dozo

-Wild evolved mons e.g. Wild Oinkolognes

-Trade Evos base forms, since my Switch lacks NSO functionality, so of course I can't get them, but I still feel iffy about it.

Should they be deemed legal or do I stick solely with base forms (like Lechonk, Pawmi, Nacli etc.)

What if transferring pokemon from one game to the other could evolve them? like if i got a graveler from pla and put it into sv it would be cool if it could evolve

I did today’s pokedoku and apparently, Gholdengo doesn’t evolve via an item??? Since when? The coins are clearly an item. AND then they say that gengar, golem and Alakazam do??? Like they are trade evolutions! Maybe the linking cord is classified but first gholdengo and now this? Ive done another pokedoku and it said (very clearly ) that they are trade evolutions. i dont even know anymore

I keep trying to open the GTS but the 3DS only shows a 002-0110 error code saying "This service has been discontinued. Thank you for using this service."

I am trying something: I have two Switch consoles and both Scarlet and Violet. So, I want to trade between the two games to complete the Pokedex. However, it's not working, it just keeps saying the title of this post. I tried using link codes and getting closer but they don't work. Does anyone here know what I'm doing wrong?
