*dont take this for granted these r based off at the time 4chan leaks, and an old post from like 3 years ago*
*SKIP THIS PART IF YOU WANT TO GET TO THE POINT*
"The scrapped plotline of Pokémon X & Y (commonly referred to as "The XY Files") talks about a 4chan leak concerning scrapped information on Pokémon X & Y including story, mechanics, characters and Pokémon. Now, 4chan leaks are not normally to be trusted, as anyone on the Internet can make a "leak", call it real, and many will believe it even if it is untrue. However, this rumor seems to detail things about the game that would later be implemented into later installments. Keep in mind that this post was published in 2014, a year after X & Y's release, and seems to detail on concepts reused in games years after 2014. It would be weird to call several of these instances coincidences when most of the mechanics are nearly identical to what they would go on to become."
-Credits to @TheWikiOddish for much of this information, as well as this beginning and opening paragraph above.
Kalos is a region both loved and hated for its vast ideas and concepts. Pokemon XY introduced one of the most popular concepts in Pokemon, as well as fan-favorite Pokemon that are still loved to this day, but it also came with its downsides. The game introduced one of the least popular starter trios in the franchise, as well as the trend of bland, tasteless designs that are repeated. Team Flare was a lack-luster villain team, and shared almost identical ideas in a "Perfect World" with past teams, "World Domination," at this point in the franchise had become a washed concept, what Kanto had created had been shafted, and had been replaced with crappy, reusable and uncreative ideas. Kanto introduced us to Team Rocket, a gang, a mob, a mafia, ruled by a Big Man who was on the world stage, Team Rocket represented an actual villainous team, it represented a gang involved in the underground of politics and the economy of Kanto. Team Flare represented lunatics who wanted to create a perfect world in their eyes (sounds familiar doesn't it) What Kanto/Johto and Team Rocket are praised for is their villains and that's because they feel real, in a world of fantasy and monsters that shoot fire and ice, the sense of reality in the villains makes them stand out. This is also why Unova is loved, with a region set in New York, a corrupt political party that claims they are for good but they had underground operations tearing the region apart, which is what makes the team feel so real. Now that I've gotten the point across, lets refer to the title, why bring up Kanto and Johto and Unova if we are talking about what KALOS could've been? Well, that's because this sense of reality that those regions share would've been implemented in Pokemon XY. You see, Team Flare was not always a vibrant team, in fact, they were supposed to be more like government agents. XY was meant to dive deeper into Space and Aliens of the Pokemon World, with deeper emphasis on Deoxys, Rayquaza (the Megas are most likely a survivor of this scrap) Zygarde, and many others were supposed to have deeper dives into them. Many say that Team Flare were meant to be alien agents, while others argue they were Men-In-Black, and some argue they were meant to be both. Due to this being based on a leak, there is no definitive answer, but we will be covering the Men-In-Black and their relevancy to the alien plotline. These Men In Black, or Aliens, were meant to search for AZ, and eventually tear Kalos from its insides. The agents of Team Flare were searching for AZ as his Floette (most likely a government project from the moon or just simply an alien) held the key to a doomsday weapon set on either destroying or taking control of the earth. Floettes importance in this brings up the idea of Fairy types being 10x more important originally, with most coming from the moon, Many rumors also adjust to this, however only a few Fairy Type-Alien Pokemon made the cut.
However, most likely due to the deeper concepts of Alien Life, Paranormal concepts, modern concepts, and Government Corruption, which had been stirring up a lot of conspiracies and arguments at the time, this concept was scrapped for a more medieval-fairytale take on the story, where Team Flare would most likely be more similar to the Diamond and Pearl Clans in Legends Arceus, or just Knights/Raiders, however only parts of this idea remained as the 3DS introduced 3D, with Nintendo favoring the Semi-Modern Semi-Medieval concepts to fit the style. Mega Evolution was meant to be based on DNA, this has been referenced, in ORAS and its episode where Deoxys and Mega Evolution play roles with each other, if XYs first ideas had been passed, ORAS's Deoxys Plot would have been very different, and have more emphasis on Megas and DNA. Mega Stones were also more relevant to space, within early development, there was no "Great Kalos War." The entire plot of aliens and space is similar to the plot in the Generation 7 games and possibly Generation 8. This is mainly seen in USUM with the Ultra Recon Squad, who are aliens posing as humans, going into the normal world. The Zygarde forms introduced in the anime and Generation 7 may have been an attempt to flesh out Zygarde as its late inclusion may have felt rushed.
Characters
Professor Sycamore and Lysandre would've shared a role, this would mean Lysandre would be both the professor, a government agent, and a frickin alien, as well as a traitor to the player. His personality would've been more similar to Mr Hyde. The professor had been exposed to a space rock sometime before the events of X & Y. He would normally act in a more professional professor-like fashion mostly, but would turn into a more malicious character whenever the leader of Team Flare controlled him due to this space rock exposure. This would also imply that Lysandre was not the leader of Team Flare: instead, he was just a puppet, which would've been an all-new concept.
AZ was intended to be an Alien sent to conquer Kalos and Earth, but when he found Floette he had a change of heart, this gives Team Flare a reason to hunt him down, Team Flare would first take control of Kalos, capture their traitor, and then the climax would most likely begin. This also explains why he ages slower.
Mechanics
Differently sized Pokemon would have been first introduced in Kalos
Riding Pokemon would have been more open, with you getting to choose which one.
Gyms
The gyms were supposed to represent stadiums, just like in Pokemon SS, this concept would have gone into play with the modern aspects of the villain team, and this would mean much of the map would represent a big city region, France possibly could've been introduced as an idea much later.
Bonnie and Clemont were supposed to be swapped, with Clemont being the younger brother while Bonnie worked the gym.
Alexa was originally intended to be a Ghost-type Gym Leader, capturing paranormal Pokémon with her camera and was originally more involved in the plot due to her fascination with the paranormal. Ghost was deemed too difficult as a first Gym battle, so she was changed to specialize in Bug-type Pokémon.
Olympia was one of the last Gym Leaders designed, originally playing a bigger role in the plot with Team Flare and the Legendaries. Her design was also originally more androgynous, but she was later made more feminine.
Pokemon
*This part was taken directly from the older post, credits to TheWikiOddish once again, I got too lazy to rewrite*
The small amount of new Pokémon in X & Y was not a fault of rushed development, but was rather decided early on due to the focus on creating 3D models. This was also due to the large amount of Pokémon introduced in the previous Generation.
Xerneas and Yveltal were of alien origin, being the source of a weapon intended to destroy Earth rather than a power source like in the final version. Their colors were originally swapped with Xerneas being red and Yveltal being blue, though this was swapped as Red as a primary version color was already done with Pokémon Red & Blue and Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire.
Zygarde was one of the last Pokémon implemented and was intended to be an event Pokémon was would later be distributed. However, this event concept was scrapped as they deemed it difficult to keep it a secret due to datamining and the Internet age.
The Fennekin line was originally intended to be much more feminine throughout the evolution line, but this was scrapped, with Braixen remaining largely the same from this idea. They were also originally intended to be Fire/Fairy, but it was decided that a new type would offset the balance of Starters, so it was changed to Fire/Psychic instead.
Chesnaught was planned to be Grass/Steel, possibly trying to balance things when Delphox was Fire/Fairy, but it was later changed to Grass/Fighting.
The Flabébé line originally had more plant elements besides the flower and were Fairy/Grass type Pokémon. Floette was also designed before Flabébé and Florges and was originally intended to be a single unevolving Pokémon that acted as AZ's signature Pokémon. This was changed in order to advertise the Fairy type more.
Sylveon acted as a testing ground for the Fairy type when a new type was being conceptualized to balance the Dragon type. The original design was much more fairy-like, having wings, but these were changed to ribbons as to not confuse it for a Flying-type Pokémon.
Hawlucha's design was originally much more humanoid, somewhat suggesting it was a human in a Pokémon-like costume, though this was changed to have its wrestler elements implemented onto itself.
The Goomy line were originally Dragon/Water type Pokémon, having a more liquid and transparent appearance, though this was changed due to the large amount of Water type Pokémon.
The Noibat line was originally conceptualized during the previous Generation as the region's bat Pokémon. However, this role was taken by the Woobat line. The design of Noibat was liked among the designers, so it was changed and added as a new Pokémon for Pokémon X & Y.
Diancie was intended to be an evolution of Carbink, though this was scrapped around the same time Zygarde was made into a base-game Legendary rather than an event Pokémon. So Diance was used, making Carbink a separate pokemon.
Timeline
What I believe the timeline would have been is something like this.
Beginning, meet lysandre/sycamore - you begin to encounter team flare agents -fifth gym its revealed lysandre is being controlled by Team Flare - Lysandre Fight 1 - AZ is Kindapped- you go to the world ending boom device - lysandre fight 2 - boss fight - doomsday device destroyed
In the end, we were ROBBED. This story would have been like no other in Pokemon, it would've made one of the most boring, and hated Pokemon games into probably one of the Top 3, the story had so much potential and it was ripped away in favor of not getting into the wrong eyes of the public, so I cant blame them for that, but now there is so many plot holes in the space of pokemon, and I hope Legends Z addresses lost concepts like this (maybe lysandre and sycamore share an ancestor??) and some space stuff.
THE END BIGGG CREDITS TO THEWIKIODDISH.
For once i do something like this lmao. With a new legends game, I will talk about my theories yippee. First things first, the starters. I do believe they’re gonna be Snivy, Piplup, and Scorbunny. Why? I’ll explain that.
Empoleon’s name does have some French origins, so I’d be surprised if that wasn’t the starter. Plus it was the most popular sinnoh starter, assuming GameFreak is going by popularity and origins.
Serperior is a regal Pokémon who’s design has some similarities to French royality. It is also based off of the Rose of Versailles according to its origin section and the creator.
”Serperior is based on the French royalty, with Lady Oscar from The Rose of Versailles serving as inspiration.”
Scorbunny is a bit of a stretch, but soccer (scorbunny’s man thing) is popular in France. It’s actually called football. Watch us get a mega or regional form of Cinderace where it’s playing football.
Now time for “is it set in past or future?” I think it’s set in the past, cause to me the trailer looks like it’s showing the blueprints, and how everything is gonna look, hence everything looking futuristic. “Why is there a big tower?” Well, maybe the game is set when we’re trying to build the Lumiose tower.
Uh this next part is gonna mention death and violence. Might be unneeded, but hey I’ll add it just in case
Another neat thing i’d LOVE to see, is a Pokémon thing related to the beast of Gévaudan, which is an oversized wolf that killed and ate many people. Maybe something new with Houndoom, Mightyena,(assuming it’s in Kalos-) Delphox, Zoroark, or Ninetales? Or Furfrou?
Another neat thing, would be say, you’re working for an ancient team flare, and you unknowingly help their plans to make the ultimate weapon. Maybe AZ appearance??? Or maybe AZ, a Lysandre ancestor, or both manipulate you into helping them do their dirty work, and they make you think you’re doing good. Those who question this are severely punished.
So kind of like a combination of Volo, Galaxy team, (you get exiled. Than again, plasma may work better) and the fact that you work for an evil team unknowingly in Pokémon colosseum.
Anyways, that’s all for now
Can we just talk how Team Galatic and Team Flare just wanted to kill everyone?
1) There won’t be a character like Alain, Ash will have his storyline.
2)Ash's Bulbasaur instead of Mairin's Chespin.
3)Ash's Team:Pikachu,Hawlucha,Greninja(Without Ash-Greninja),Noivern,Charizard(Mega Charizard X),Aegislash.
4)Since Alain will not exist, Ash's opponent will be the returning Paul with Mega Blaziken instead.
5)Ash will win the Kalos league, but after the events with Team Flare, he will decide that because of what his actions led to, he does not deserve a match for the championship and after Kalos recovers, Ash will decide to turn in the Mega Stone and leave Kalos, but Diantha will dissuade him and convince him to go through Elite 4 and try to reach the battle with the champion.Ash will get to the battle with Diantha, and the battle will end in a draw.
6) Instead of Ash Greninja training, there will be training with Mega Charizard.
7)Ash, instead of Kanto, will immediately go to Alola to take a break from the leagues.
Otherwise, everything is the same, including the Team Flare arc, only Ash, until the finals of the Kalos League, will not know about Cyrus's connection with Team Flare.

If team villains had been learn that ash is the champion of the master tournamen and forced him to join:
What do you think that team rocket would forced ash to join?
What do you think that team magma would forced ash to join?
What do you think that team aqua forced ash to join?
What do you think that team galactic forced ash to join?
What do you think that team plasma forced ash to join?
What do you think that team flare forced ash to join?
What do you think that team skull forced ash to join?
My brain at 3 am had this idea
as you can see there are some easter eggs and it's very easy to find them
We heard Brock is returning in the upcoming Arceus Special in Journeys, but what caught my attention is that an old foe Team Galactic is set to return! I thought those guys were finished after Galactic Battles, but I’m surprised they are returning. It made me feel that if Team Galactic returns, I like to see both Team Plasma and Team Flare make a comeback to seek revenge even if they are from a different universe. Could this mean Macro Cosmos might return for the first time since Darkest Day Arc?

Hi. I'm new to this Wiki, although I have been a Pokemon fan for a while. The only other wiki I've been a part of is the JoJo Wiki so I thought to expand where I'm a part of so I decided to join the Pokemon wiki.
Now, for my probably stupid question:
I've heard that Lysandre (X & Y) ended up dying at the end of that game, when the Ultimate Weapon went of and got destroyed. Now, it's probably obvious, but did he actually die in that explosion? And, if so, is he the only Pokemon Main Antagonist that dies in game, or is there more?
