Turns out I need train a bit since my next target is the infamous vgc duo...of Dondozo and tatsugiri.
Speaking of vgc...
...this is why follow me Magmar was seen as a threat. (Take a guess as to why coal was burnt)
Oh look, it's one of the strongest vgc mons ever. Will it ever go away? Probably not.
Anywho, after a bit of grinding, we head to dondozo island to look for the titan ... And maybe grind some more.
Apparently a wild Mon mementoing gives exp. Still doesn't justify why it's even an option for mons to do that...poor shiny hunters?
Anywho, enough stalling.

Becuz Magique...trained so much his flower trick easily defeats Dondozo, so to maybe gain more of a challenge I use Nini against dozo phase 2.
3 electro balls do the job (the 3rd one was because it lived on 1hp).
This time, I have Nini volt switch into Magique because he can't do anything. Magique defeats another titan again with play rough. (Klawf, Great Tusk, dozo and tatsugiri...that's 3 titans felled!)
I remember a while back that some people spedrun path of legends with only meowscarada. Hmm
...
(Magique is also my most powerful member, he should be able to handle the last arven battle... hopefully.)
I wonder why so many Pokemon parents fall under this category. Hopefully in Z-A or gen 10 we finally get a subversion of this trope...since peony's apparently still to date the only time it happened.
I forgot to swap Magique in as the lead but Nini easily trounces greedent, only taking 1 body slam before electrocuting it.
Wenlock battles garg but goes down, though he set up rocks, so I had coal spin them off before Garg falls to thei EQ.
Now this time I swap Magique in on toedscruel as 2 flower tricks takes it out, but he traded a sludge bomb in the process.
Nini overcomes the odds with the power of friendship and trounces Scovillain with 2 acrobatics, and Miga takes care of cloyster.
I know Mabostiff has intimidate, so I use coal to sponge it.
Plus they have a honking huge attack stat anyway, so surely this isn't that bad.
Unfortunately, coal barely chipped Mabostiff with eq becuz of intimidate and gets defeated by crunch. Sukki is then sacked off while she attempted to go for d gleam...and Miga saves the day with a Close combat. "Reliable partner" indeed!
Managed to use climb to avoid that long, long, painful swimming trek to Alfornada. Miga and Coal can't help here becuz I'm not sure how well they can handle mental attacks.
SV2, pls like make it so I have to deal with psychic terrain if I'm here.
I was using wenlock for a bit to cheer him up over his poor performance against Arven. His iron head easily fells her lycanroc lead.
(Also funny interaction: Wenlock can eat sand attack with his ability. I didn't know that.

Coal easily dispatches pawmot and Sukki...falls short of one shotting Sliggoo with d gleam, needing 2 to win.
Nini initially had the upper hand against quaquaval by out speed the duck, but an aqua jet beats him. Sukki also falls because, unsurprisingly, she can't outrun a +1(2?) speed quaquaval, with Miga needing to save the day again.
While picking my Mon for the esp, I nearly picked coal for the funsies, but decided on Nini instead because I'm not sure if it's ok to use coal...until I remember coal fought 2 trainers and no consequences happened to them so...(Ended up going with Sukki in the end).

The first gym trainer nearly ended in disaster as I used lumina crash to weaken a gothorita, but triggered competitive. Luckily it only went for 2 status moves so Sukki could use her shadow ball to end both it and the kirlia that came out next.
The 2nd gym trainers grumpig had rest, but lumina crashes stat debuffs saved Sukki.
Sukki then dispatches medicham with one tera boosted lumina crash, and needed 2 to defeat indeedee female. Maybe she can solo Tulips entire team?
First Sukki goes for dazzling gleam on farigiraf, but it tanks it and sets up a reflect, so a lumina crash is added before another d gleam defeats the giraffe.
Sukki unfortunately gets a nasty -1 sp def on this while unloading her -2 def inducing lumina crash and barely lives, so wenlock has to take out the incoming Gardevoir instead.
Wenlock then easily defeats florges. I think he could maybe beat grusha, but with the snow buff and his physical build, I'm not sure.
Just realized poppy's hair here has a x that suspiciously looks like Drifloon lines x.... probably reading too much into it.
Anywho, I think next time, my team, which is now fixed with no more rotations, will end team stars troublemaking and maybe head to the elite 4.
They took down mons way out of their league level wise, surely they can handle the ends of 2 more paths, right?
So i used a mass outbreak in the terarium and found a ray of hope
I used revavroom (to start his redemption arc and also my other pokemon lost their health in auto battle after defeating one) but hope was being lost, faster and faster. Until it said the outbreak pokemon had dispersed. I was so upset but i decided there was no harm in trying to send my revavroom to auto battle the other minior who were left and suddenly, the symbol for when my Pokemon doesn’t want to battle, it came up. I checked the minior and i was so happy! It was the violet core and now i finally have a shiny minior but its funny how i almost gave up before i found it!

I have a theory that dreepy were actually tatsugiri in their last life, and i have sufficient evidence. first off, its Gen 9 dex entry states that it bites clauncher while it doesnt eat them, maybe hinting that it ate them in a past life and that its around water. in violet, it does also spawn around water too. it's evolutions also revolve around the whole 'using pre-evolution in battle'. pre-evolution could also be weaker pokemon, like dondozo uses tatsugiri. they are both dragon-type too. maybe the fact that it is a ghost gave it an ability to evolve into a very different pokemon to what its living form was.
What do you think? theres not enough evidence i have to fill the gaps but most of it adds up, right? or it could be a complete coincidence. but what do you think dreepy could've been?
So im playing violet and after checking online, the event outbreaks should not be tatsugiri still. i have closed and opened my game again but nothings happened. i cant seem to get new event outbreaks. is there a reason why or a solution? all help would be much appreciated

I was playing violet earlier and went to the polar biome in the indigo disk for no apparent reason and i saw a sparkly question mark mass outbreak! I headed over, hoping for a shiny (i knew it wouldn’t EVER happen, and i found stretchy form tatsugiri and i saw an orange one with the yellow. I encountered it. It was a ✨ SHINY!✨
My second shiny ever (my haunter is first) and my first in violet. I caught it, still ECSTATIC and saved my progress when lo and behold ANOTHER ✨ tatsugiri ✨ i caught this shiny and i went over to another area of polar biome. Another tatsugiri outbreak. Another ✨ tatsugiri ✨!

Well, i think i started this specific shiny hunt maybe after my shiny Roaring Moon?

Alright, anyways, this isn’t about it.
I went for this shiny after i’d gotten Roaring Moon, but that failed, and then i started actually going for it a bit later.
Yes, OK, i’m gonna give all of you a little…cheaty thing…
So, if you were to join a union circle with someone who had herba, you could join a sandwich with them and use nothing but throw away ingredients, you’ll get the shiny boost, yeah? But then, they could close their game without saving, which would give them the herba back, but for YOU, well, you’d still have the boost.
Does that make sense? It’s basically infinite shiny power.
Well, i’ll start this off with something one of my friends who plays Violet wanted me to get for them, all with my little method here, so let’s finally start this hecking post and i’ll try to shut up with my writing a bit.
Okay, this is an absolutely horrible image, but ah well, nothin’ i can do about it now. After i got this, i tried to get one for myself for a while, but i just couldn’t do it. After a while i went down and tried to get Lapras with my like, 5 minutes left, and that worked, s’pose.

I got lucky, Droopy Tatsugiri is my favorite form in both normal and shiny, and my friend has curly so i reaaally didn’t wanna get that one.
