Spoink looked overjoyed as we showed up with his pearl. “Thank you!” He placed it on top of his head. “I had missed it so much! You see, it must have dropped off of my head sometime when I was bouncing around. If I don’t have my pearl up there, there was no possible way that I could have calmed down! I got all of these bumps and bruises from jumping around everywhere…” Spoink handed us two bags. One had a Protein, a Calcium, and an Iron. And the other bag had-
“2,000 Poké??” Waterking exclaimed looking into the bag. Spoink smiled as he watched us look at the money.
“Of course, of course! This is almost nothing compared to the value of my precious pearl. Goodbye!” He began bouncing over to and up the ladder.
“We’re- We’re rich!” Waterking peered into the bag again. “That quickly!”
Chatot hopped over to us. “Well done! Very good. Now, if you please, hand over the money!”
“Huh??” We exclaimed as he took the money bag from Waterking.
“You see,” Chatot began, looking the Poké over. “Most of the money from jobs completed by the apprentices here goes to the Guildmaster. And your Team’s share comes out to… 200 Poké.” He handed the money back to us.
“That’s it?” I asked.
“That’s awful! This is barely anything!”
Chatot looked at us. “That’s how the guild’s rule works. Looks like you’ll simply have to deal with it!” He said cheerfully.
“Hmph.” Waterking said, looking down at his feet.

Me and Waterking were in our room looking out the window. “You know,” He started. I took my gaze away from the orange, red, and yellow sky outside to look at him. “We never made a Team name.”
“A Team name? What for?” I questioned.
“So other Pokemon know who we are of course!” He plopped down on his nest, while I stayed standing. “When we end up getting famous, they’ll have to call us by something.”
I went and sat down on my own nest. “You really think we’ll get famous?”
“We have to!”
I sat thinking for a moment. “What about Team Scald? Scald is water that can burn, and I’m a Fire type and you’re a Water type.”
He grinned. “That’s a great name!”
“Thanks for the wait everyone! I finished making dinner!” We could hear Chimecho’s voice.
We both got up at about the same time. “Race ya!” I said cheerfully, running out. I could hear his footsteps following swiftly behind me.

We looked around as we walked down the stairs that led to the Guild entrance. Looking to the left, we saw a sign pointing to a different path. It read, “Mystery Dungeons this way.” Waterking took out his map and peered at it as we walked on the path.
“The bluff should be this way.” He said, pointing his flipper to one of the splitting paths. I nodded and we walked in that direction. We arrived at a place with big rocks and lush bushes.
“Ok.” Waterking had started talking again, looking down at the mission paper. “It says that Spoink’s pearl is on B7F.” He put the paper back in his bag and looked ahead of us. “This place looks… Very dangerous.” He looked very nervous. “Let’s be careful.”
“Let’s do our best.” I said. We both nodded, and headed in.
The walls were made of brown rocks with a hint of green, and the floor was a light blue that was broken up by puddles of water. I was able to see Anoriths and more Shellos wandering around. I nudged Waterking and motioned towards the possibly hostile Pokemon to warn him. He nodded to me in return.
At around B3F, we were surprise attacked by a Chingling. I was too stunned to move, so Waterking blasted a Bubble its way and scared it off. I looked at him in surprise. “When did that get so strong?” I asked.
“I have to tell the truth. When we were fighting Zubat and Koffing, it wasn’t my Pound that had knocked Koffing. It was Bubble.” He looked like he was waiting for me to be mad or yell at him.
I smiled. “That’s cool!” His face lightened up. “Now with my Ember, and your Bubble, we could win many battles!”
We went through the rest of the Bluff without much talking. When we did talk, it was about items that we found.
“This is a Geo Pebble.” Waterking held up a smooth and round stone. “You can throw it to damage or defeat an enemy.”

We arrived on B7F. There was a big and layered rock pool that trickled water down its sides and front, which led into two small streams on either side of us. “Look!” Waterking pointed at a small pink orb that sparkled. We walked up to it.
“This has to be Spoink’s Pearl!” I said, carefully and gently picking it up. I slid it into my bag.
“Let’s bring it back!”
Sorry this took so long. I just hadn't been writing on it till today

“This is the job bulletin board. Pokemon that are from various places come and post things on here when they need help with something. You are aware that there are many bad Pokemon that are showing up in bigger numbers, yes?”
Waterking nodded. “Yeah! It’s because the flow of time has gone all weird. It’s creating havoc, right? And that’s why many bad Pokemon are appearing!
I looked at my partner in surprise. The flow if time is getting messed up? Like… Time? As in hours and minutes? That kind? Is there something going wrong with the time here? And because of that, more and more bad Pokemon are popping up? My mind went back to Zubat and Koffing. Are they bad Pokemon? Have they been doing other bad things
When Chatot nodded it took my focus back up to him. “Precisely.” He said. “The fact that time is going all out of whack has made bad Pokemon show up more than usual. Maybe because of that, we have been seeing an increase in the number of jobs. And… It is not known if this is related to the time’s influence… We have been seeing a mass outbreak of Mystery Dungeons.
Mystery Dungeons
“So Firequeen!” Waterking had turned to me and started talking. “You know how we got my stone back yesterday? That place that we went to, Beach Cave, is a Mystery Dungeon. Mystery Dungeons change every single time you go into it. There's a different layout of the floors and even the items change! But… If you faint in the middle of one then you lose half your money. There’s also a chance that you could lose half of your items or even more. And lastly, when you faint you get kicked right out! They are very strange places. There’s always new things to explore when you go in though! Fantastic places to go exploring in!
Chatot fluttered his feathers. “You sure are quite informed now aren’t you!” He said to Waterking. “This makes my job of explaining easier.” He turned to face both of us. “All jobs take place in Mystery Dungeons. So, I would like you to take this one.” He handed us the paper he had grabbed. On it was a drawing of a Pokemon with words put neatly around it. The picture was a Spoink
“Let’s read it!” The Piplup said, taking the paper and looking down at it
“Hi! My name is Spoink! An outlaw has run off with my most prized possession. That being my precious pearl! To me… That pearl is life itself! If that pearl isn’t on my head, its proper place, I just can’t seem to settle down! But I have heard that it has been spotted! It has been said to be on Rocky Bluff, but that Bluff is extremely dangerous. There’s no way I could go somewhere so frightening! Whoever is friendly enough to read this, would you please go and retrieve my pearl? I’m begging for your help, Exploration Team members! From, Spoink.
“Wait a minute.” Waterking said, peering closer at the paper. “We’re going to fetch an item that someone dropped!? I would rather do something that’s more adventurous.” It looked like his eyes had sparkles in them. “I’d rather look for treasure or explore some unknown places. Things like that!
Chatot snapped at him. “Hush!” Waterking yelped. “It is important that you two rookies pay your dues! Pay attention! I’ll repeat the warnings to make sure they stick! If either of you faints, you’ll be kicked out of the dungeon and sent back here. You’ll lose half your money if that happens! Be careful! Even half of your items or more will be gone too!” His feathers fluttered. “If you understood all that, then I suggest that you get on with the job.
“Uhhh… Yeah.” Waterking said as we walked out of the Guild
It is very compact because there is a lot of talking
