Chapter 3- Enter Kyra

Aliester finally saw it for his first time. A shimmering glare had caught his eye in the distance.

"Is that?" Aliester started to ask.

"Yes, that's no other than Castelia! My magnificent hometown, and there's the UCA!" Mr. Maron yelled pointing to a tall glistening building.

"Ahhh! At last. Unova." And not Hoenn! That place is nearly as bad as galar right now, though that's due to crime rate, not energy supply. Team Aqua and team Rainbow Rocket were the only two organizations to survive this long. Aliester thought.

The helicopter swooped on over to the building and slowly lowered down for a landing.

"Miiime." Mr. Mime stated, leaning against the helicopter. He made an invisible bucket to puke in, apparently Mr. Mime gets airsick. They made their way down the stairs descending from the roof and down two halls to get to Mr. Maron's office. A dark wooden desk with a laptop sat in the middle, a grandfather clock in one corner and a painting above him, there were two darke brown benches with red cushions on either side of the room.

"Now then, you know what a pokemon connoisseur is, correct?" Mr. Maron asked.

"Yeah, they're people who travel around giving valuable information on peoples bonds with their pokemon." Aliester answerd.

"Ah no, not exactly. You see you were right, but that's not all we do! Much like you so boldly represented, a pokemon connoisseur's skills can put an end to dangerous outbreaks of wild pokemon. Sometimes we help wild pokemon understand each other to stop harmful territorial fights and such, sometimes we compete with other regions connoisseur associations, sometimes we even change the very hearts of villans, you see a pokemon connoisseur doesn't just understand the bonds between people and pokemon, they understand all creatures hearts, how they think, how they feel, their ambitions and dreams. We make them come true in a safe and spectacular way. Yes, to be a pokemon connoisseur is to be a hero!" Mr. Maron stated standing up, throwing his arms to be in the air.

"And with that, there is no honor more magnificent than wearing this." He said and showed off an S class badge.

"Of course even this is an honor to wear, you'll have the same origin as everyone else, a C rank badge, but there's not a single doubt in my mind you will flourish into a more spectacular connoisseur than even I!" Mr. Maron finally ended.

"Wow! I had no idea being a pokemon connoisseur would be so deep, this'll definitely help me as a pokemon rescue squad member… wait even better than you? How can you be so sure so soon?" Aliester questioned.

"Ah, I am S rank, the second highest rank to ever exist! In the small amount of time I've known you I can tell you will succeed at any goal with the grace of an S rank connoisseur! You've done so twice already. Once with beartic, and once with something as hateful as Eternatus."

"Eternatus? I did?"

"Yes, yes indeed, when you so fearfully looked into its eyes something clicked inside it, it started feeling something other than hate. Why else do you think Eternatus felt fear against Aegislash? It's because you put emotion into the beast with simply a stare. "

"... wait… how did you know that, you weren't there."

"You see my business I had to take care of was relocating Eternatus's safe, someone rubbled the place up and nearly broke into the safe two nights before you and that Shay fellow fought Eternatus. Anywho, we musn't dwell on that galarian past of yours too much, you have a new life in Unova now!"

"Yeah you're right! Wait, you said there's a rank above S?"

"Yes, a new rank had to be made for a single connoisseur with such great skills in his last few years of life that a single glance at a pokemon and it was as if he knew them since they were born. The Z rank, a spectacular status achieved by no other but sir Cylin! One from our very own UCA!" Mr. Maron said pointing to a painting of a man with green hair with both arms. In the bottom right corner layed the lone Z rank badge. Aliester stared in awe, this was his newest goal, he needed to reach Z class, with that kind of power he could perhaps solve Eternatus's mystery with a single glance…

"Anywho off you go, I'm packed today so I bid you farewell, there's a pokemon center just down the street, guests are welcome to stay the nights there." Mr. Maron directed.

"They still do that in Unova?"

"Yes yes, Unova, Alola, Kalos, Kanto, Jhoto, and Sinnoh still do it, though Kanto may fall soon just as Hoenn had. Off you go."

Aliester walked out the room pridefully wearing his c class badge. It was all going so well until he made a horrible realization, Shay. The safe was in Hammerlocke, it wasn't supposed to be and yet it was. Maybe shay had moved it and freed Eternatus to catch it for himself in one of those odd balls. The safe had been broken into two nights before, it would take a champion to break into that vault, and Shay had beaten how many? 3. That mega evolution, it wasn't discolored by galar particles, the mega stone shouldn't be that deep red. Something was off about Shay and Aliester had to become at least A rank connoisseur before they met again, that way he could make sure all was normal or if something big was unfolding behind the scenes. But enough of those thoughts, he decided to have a good first day in his new life.

He decided to head to the pokemon center first, that way he could ask for directions to the Nearest pokemon rescue squad center. His footsteps echoed down the empty hall as he walked with Mr. Mime, who was humming joyously, down the hall to the… opened elevator. Something was strange, off, misplaced about today all of the sudden. He jolted around to expect something to be watching him… nothing. He turned back around casually, shaking off the feeling.

"WaAa!" He let out and jumped backwards. Shay was standing there, but he looked older.

"Sorry for the startle, I heard you were coming to be an connoisseur in Unova, so naturally I dropped by to help out. Chandelure cut it out already!" Shay ordered.

"Chaaaan!" Chandelure complained and stopped being invisible.

"Sorry about that, I obtained a rather strange chandelure, it acts more like an actual ghost rather than a ghost type, it enjoys freaking people out."

"I have a few questions if you don't mind." Aliester said, trying to ignore Chandelure's intense leer from behind.

"Go ahead, I'm in no rush today." Shay said and sat on a bench.

" Your pokeballs, I've never seen them before."

" Custom design for a master ball, I got them from a pokeball maker in Kalos a few years back. I'm sure you noticed it didn't shake once despite being used on a legendary pokemon."

"Yeah, that's why I asked. Another thing, why was Absol's mega evolution red? I thought all evolution was blue." Aliester questioned suspiciously. Shay suddenly looked more serious.

"I'll leave that to your imagination, it's something Absol, wouldn't like me to share." He put simply and stood up.

"Now come along, I'm letting you stay in my Unova house for the time being."

"Thanks alot!"

"Mime!"

"But why?"

"Let's just say it's a token of appreciation for helping me obtain Eternatus, speaking of, Eternatus has been safely relocated to Alola." This kids slowly piecing things together, if he stays at my house mimikyu can keep an eye on him for me.

"That's great!" Aliester replied joyously. Maybe Shay wasn't so bad after all. They took the elevator to get to the bottom floor, but it suddenly stopped sending both Aliester and Shay to the ceiling and back down. Shay opened the hatch on top and crawled out.

"Chandelure enough games, return." Shay said returning Chandelure who was laughing along the way back to the pokeball. He hopped back in.

"Whew, that gave me a heart attack!" Aliester shouted.

"Oh dear, if that gave you one then I must warn you that I keep mimikyu in my Unova house, expect a lot more scares." Shay warned.

"Greaaat" Aliester responded. The elevator moved again down to the first floor. They walked through the reflective lobby floor to the exit. Aliester took in a deep breath, the air here was so fresh compared to Galar. In Galar it was illegal to forcefully use pokemon to make electricity, so using so many fossil fuels had ruined the air. Many people searched for Regileki as a source, but no one has ever found it. The cool ocean breeze felt great in Unova's bright sunshine as they walked across the docs to the edge of the city. There stood a black building tall as the others, it looked pretty normal on the outside.

"Here's the keys, oh, and mind the gaps would you?" Shay tossed the keys and walked off.

"The gaps?" Aliester asked himself quietly and opened the door, he misstepped and would've fell into a bottomless hole if it weren't for Mr. Mimes psychic. Aliester walked over to a sign to read it- Shay's shadow gym. This was a shut down dark type gym. He turned around to ask Shay if this was the right place. He jumped backwards in surprise to see a pikachu with a broken neck staring at him. … oh right. Holes.

"Mr. Miii-" Aliester started to shout.

"Mime Mime!!" Mr. Mime yelled frantically and used psychic pulling Aliester back up.

"Thanks Mr. Mime."

"Mime."

"On to Pikachu, use psychic to hold its head up correctly while we bring it to the pokemon center!" Aliester ordered. They rushed down the street to the center and broke through the line to the front desk.

"You have to-" nurse joy was cut off.

"This is urgent! Mr. Mime stop using psychic." Aliester ordered. Mr. Mime gently set pikachu on the desk. Nurse joy let out a horrified gasp as its head fell completely over.

"This is urgent! Audino report to the front desk immediately!" Nurse joy commanded through a mic. Audino hobbled into the room out of breath from running.

"Audin!" It shouted at the sight. Nurse Joy and Audino ran over to the pokeball pattern on the center of the floor and pulled off a panel revealing two silver bracelets with pink crystals in their center. Both Audino and nurse Joy put one on.

"Now audino this is a critical condition, Mega evolve!" Nurse joy ordered. With a blue light Audio's ears lengthened, the pink on its stomach flurried off into a jacket of sorts, with a white flash it was over revealing a now white Audino.

"Now heal pulse!" Nurse joy commanded. A brilliant pink beam gently and swiftly impacted with Pikachu. A few minutes had passed.

"It's not working?!" Aliester asked.

"I don't understand, it should've healed by now." Nurse joy answered.

"K-kk, kyu!" The pikachu let out and hopped off the desk. They all stared in surprise at it as it walked out the doors on out to the street.

"Ahh, sorry for wasting your time nurse Joy!" Aliester apologized.

"That was one convincing Mimikyu costume, I can't blame you." She responded.

"Oh, since I'm here can you please tell me where the nearest pokemon rescue squad center is?" Aliester asked.

"Oh, that would be in Straiton city." She answered.

"Thanks!" Aliester yelled as he ran out of the center.

He stopped running right as he got out of the pokemon center.

"Mr. Mime, can you make another car?"

"Mime." Mr. Mime said crossing his arms.

"Why?"

"Mime Mime Mr. Mime." He explained.

"What do you mean you don't have a driver's license! You drove us in Galar." Aliester complained. Mr. Mime suddenly looked alert and made a shushing symbol with his hands.

"Ohhh… great." Aliester said finally realizing Me. Mime illegally drove the car.

"well I guess we're walking then." Aliester said with a sigh.

"Mr. Mime return, you won't wear yourself out that way." Aliester commanded withdrawing Mr. Mime into the pokeball and began his long walk. He missed Galar now, the sun wasn't as hot as it was in Unova, not a cloud in sight as he slumped down skyarrow bridge with the sun blazing overhead. A car stopped on the bridge next to him. A mixed girl with long curly caramel hair, a black sleeveless fitted T shirt with two black armbands, and tight black pants with tall white boots rolled down the window.

"Hop on in! You look like you could use a ride." She offered. Once he hopped over the sidewalk bar and got into the front seat he could see she had yellow contacts in. A Serperior sat in the back seat dancing around with black headphones on.

"Thanks!" Aliester said as he closed the door.

"No problem! Where are ya headed?" She asked.

"The PRS in Straiton city." Aliester answered.

"Oh perfect!" She said with a clap of her hands" That's where me and Serperior are headed, I haven't seen you around so you must be new! My names Kyra, it's nice to meet you." Kyra said looking over at him with a bright energetic smile.

"My names Aliester, it's nice to meet a friend. Oh one could argue about me being new, I used to work in the Galar PRS, but I recently moved to Unova." Aliester responded.

"Oh man Galar! I heard its pretty rough over there, you see serperior and I are always bursting with energy unlike Galar, we wish we could share some of that. So we're on a hunt for Zekrom!" Kyra explained.

"Perior!" Serperior yelled back happily in agreement.

"Wow Zekrom, that's a hard goal to reach! I'd like to save galar from its crisis as well, we've searched and searched for Regileki, but no luck. If you don't mind, I'd like to help search for Zekrom." Aliester said.

"Awesome, Zekrom's lightning will be sure to help Galar out big time, you're coming!" Kyra yelled again." And Maybe Zekrom can take out team Aqua from Hoenn too! Serperior and I want to help the whole-" Kyra said, throwing her hands into the air "Ahh!" She yelled and grabbed the steering wheel again to stop it from wrecking." Sorry about that, to help the whole world! We'll go to any lengths to save it, and with our strong ideals there's no doubt Zekrom will want to help." Kyra finished. Serperior poked its head through to the front seat.

"Ser- Serperior." It said nudging the window.

"Serperior's right, we should stop in Nacrene city! It's sunset after all and I sure am hungry!"

"Yeah me to. That serperior of yours sure does share the same energy as you, it's like putting you in front of a mirror."

"I agree, but that evaluation wasn't the best, keep trying, you'll be a great connoisseur someday." Kyra responded as they parked at the pokemon center.

Aliester shyfuly hid his C rank badge she must've noticed. Serperior rushed ahead to open the doors and took its headphones off using its tail. They walked in and were shown to their room upstairs by nurse joy.

They went back down to eat.

"Allright Mr. Mime it's dinner time." Aliester said releasing it. Kyra didn't release any other pokemon.

"I guess we both only have one pokemon then, thats awesome, we have room for 5 more each from our adventures in the PRS tomorrow!" Kyra shouted.

"Well that's the first time I've heard that being a good thing, is nothing bad to you?"

"No not really, so much about everyone is so misunderstood. Like Eternatus for example, it just wanted to live in the wild like a normal pokemon, you know it's probably sad being stuck in a pokeball your whole life, that's why I only put Serperior in its ball when it needs to be carried while hurt."

"Eternatus is dangerous though, but yeah it must not like it in the pokeball."

"Spot on! It probably wants to go home, that's why I've always wanted to meet a kartana, legend has it that it can rip holes through spacetime, that way Eternatus can go back home!" Kyra continued yelling as she scarfed down her food.

"Wow! You sure do have a lot of big goals"

"Sure do! And I won't stop until we're done! Me, you, Serperior, and Mr. Mime, we're going to really change this world for the better."

"Awesome, Team aqua, Team rainbow rocket, you'd better watch out!" Aliester shouted as he went up the stairs. "I'll leave that to your imagination, it's something Absol, wouldn't like me to share." Aliester thought you too Shay, you're up to something, the mega evolution I witnessed was blue today, something's off about you.

Kyra grabbed his arm and dragged him up the stairs.

" If we're gonna travel together you've gotta keep up!" She yelled and ran to the room letting go. She made a leap from the door to the bed and slammed down on it sending the blankets flying, Serperior quickly slithered over and gently wrapped around her, the two were instantly deep asleep. Aliester went to his own bed and sat down looking out the window to the night skies, tomorrow was going to be great, he had friends already In Unova. It was almost as if he were still in Galar… He fell backwards drifting to sleep. Mr. Mime used psychic to tuck Serperior, Kyra, and Aliester into bed correctly then went to sleep in the third of the four beds.
