Coming to an anipoke episode near you!
I wish I never stagnated regarding teams I find at the start or any point...so many missed opportunities.
I attempt to train scattor, but he's too weak. He can't even take out a Magikarp at this stage.
I'm surprised it's not jammed before this. Then again, it's probably my muscle memory from playing this several times.
Yeah... neither of my mons has a boosting move, I'll hold onto it for now in case I can use it later.
This could be handy for nemonas Pawmi, as it only knows T shock....also because it's stab it seems it's helping scattor actually deal damage.
A bit more training and my improv'd Pawmi counter is ready...
I attempt to find a Flabebe again (and accidentally paid wo-chien a visit) but still fail. I give up, I'll try and find that tera florges later.
After a bit of dawdling, I finally face the nemona battle. Sprig goes down to Orange in 1 peck from fletchie, then barely scratches the bird with leafage. Fletchie than defeats the cat.
Now for Pawmi, I send in scattor, then use an x sp.def.
Yes, he survived!
Scattor then proceeds to struggle bug Pawmi until it's HP is no more.
So empty...I need to find more party members soon.
I found something with encounter power fairyz surely this should spawn a Flabebe now.
Turns out Flabebe is hard to get after a quick search...rip.
Ofc when I was trying to get scattor in the same level as fletchie, probably to please me he evolves into vivillon. He's holding wise glasses (becuz no choice specs).
Anywho I decide to test vivillons firepower against the team star grunt.
Scattor is also now compatible with a psybeam tm I found while wandering around.
*Clicks the lying option* oops.
Time to disrespect this grunt.
This is a first for me,I didn't know tera flying fletchlings exist. Oh well.
And peck doesn't take the yungoos out.
So I did it again.
Again, it feels weird only having only 2 mons. I hope I can find another one soon
I just realized due to how my tera types and base types are, klawff doesn't even have to try to decimate me. It can probably take me out with a rock.
Sweet Arceus those eyebrows! Is Juliana really more expressive than Florian? Or is it I just somehow just noticed it because I changed the eyebrow color...
Well at least I can tackle the 1st 2 gyms easy, but still, I need to find more members though, as iono and grusha can still decimate my team.
Power of herba mystica is true after all. Amazing.
(Also while doing this I decided to check gogoats stats considering that's a Mon I'm gonna use...it's defense seems pretty bad at base 60...I thought it was bulkier...)
Vivillon can beat Giacomo, but I really should go find more team members...yadda yadda...
Anywho, outside Cortondo fletchie manages to help weaken and catch a Skiddo, named goated (I'll probably change the name to goaty later). That defense drop from the nature kinda sucks....at least I can hit klawf now. (I'm gonna use the adamant mint I got on it).
Fletchie and Scattor each get to take out one of the gym trainers in the puzzle, and now it's time to take on Katy and her OP Teddiursa combination.
1st is Nymble, which Fletchie pecks at but doesn't take out, but it's double kicks do nothing. A second peck deletes the grasshopper.
Next is tarountula. Peck does even less damage as it goes for a bug bite. A second peck is more than enough to defeat it though.
I pull a desperation tera flying on Teddiursa and go for growl to try and limit fury cutters power. It fury swipes again and nearly takes fletchie out. I use a super Potion to heal him as fury swipes strikes again. I go for a tera peck teddy is now orange, and hear comes the fury cutter....which does nothing becuz resist and growl, and tera peck finishes the job.
Good job fletchling! (For a minute I thought it would evolve but oh well).
I think I'm gonna end it here. Tomorrow, klawf is going down.
Footnote: I was lucky I had an expendable incomplete SV save file on my switch to be able to do this. I wish I had more than 7 slots on my switch.
I nearly considered playing in french, but decided against it.
I used anipoke Serena as the basis for the characters features...loosely. I needed to keep the kalos theming up.
(Also after some research SV was better for this SWSH, I'd have to wait until wild area for the challenge to start (Bunnelby) )
The rules as I go through the intro:
1. Kalos mons only. Thx god for no HM slaves.
2. Only 5 healing/boosting items per battle, be it against a wild mon, a trainer or any important boss
3. Every ep, starting from when I get 6 mons, I need to swap 1 Mon out from my party to use, just to make things more interesting than using the same 6 mons over and over-think like BW Ash swapping his team around.(I'll maybe ask for suggestions)
4. Nicknames (may also ask for suggestions if I can't think of any)
I've thinking about it, I think I'll start with fuecoco. I Dunno why, but i think something to do witj maybe being a fire type before talonflame.
I feel guilt tripped, but the challenge rules are challenge rules.
I'm gonna commentate on as many major battles as possible, and maybe select trainer ones too.
Anywho, Sprigatito out speeds fuecoco, getting a leafage off before I fire off an ember. I also get a burn hax. Sprig goes for leafage again as I attempt to disrespect ko with tackle. Another leafage and Fuecoco ends sprig with an ember.
I guess in PLA that seems easy? I never played PLA but I remember it was mostly just lots of tasks in addition to catching a Mon.
I definitely need a Gogoat for this later, I hope I get lucky.
I wasn't sure if I could oof Lechonk, but I caught it for the tutorial.
(I'll probably start snapping pictures of my stats, nature's etc so you guys can see what I'm working with.)
Anywho, say hello to fletchie the fletchling, the 1st member of the group.
Soon after, I caught member number 2: Scattor the Scatterbug (the name comes from a corruption of scatter transformers uses sometimes).
Before I attempt the koraidon cutscene, I attempt to find Flabebe somewhere. It's not here, (I was told I could find it before mesagoza) so I go through with the Koraidon sequence. During the respite I attempt to spawn skrelp but also no skrelp (I was told they are near coastlines). Inlet grotto also has absolutely nothing. I'm not gonna mention anymore "I can't find a kalos mons stuff" from here on out.
Ok, now I wonder how both boxart legend can stay in battle mode when I have them out during a picnic....
Hmm... Fletchie is a physical attacker so I don't think he can use this, and scattor needs to fully evolve in order to do stuff (quiver dance vivillon is a thing right?
Anywho on to 1st of many encounters with arven.
Skwovets tackle is stronger than peck, so ow. I sure hope I get better options for flying stab soon. Flet chie goes for quick attack as he gets hit by bite.
I heal up fletchie and swkovet used something
...I think I got blocked by big pecks. My bird pecks skwovet again as it goes for bite. A quick attack puts skwovet at low HP, and a second one takes it out.
Unfortunately my switch is likely going to give out by the time I'm done, so I think I have to end this here.
See you for part 2.
She was caught on 11/26/2022 while i was grinding some exp on area one of south province, and i found a shiny Scatterbug, full odds encounter too

Grubbin's probably my favorite early-route Bug-type, it's so cute!
