Notes:
Pilanscorch is composed of pile, pyro, ant, and scorch, and is pronounced py-LAN-scorch.
Palossand learns Infestation when evolved, and Pilanscorch learns Fire Ant Infestation, which is the same as Infestation, but is a fire type move and can cause burning.
Sandygast and Palossand still have Water Compaction as an ability, and Pilanscorch also has an Ability called Fire Compaction, which raises the attack stat two levels when hit with a Fire type move. This also makes the Pokémon immune to being burnt.
Pokédex Entries
Sandygast
Sandygast from the [insert region] region no longer reside on beaches, and reside in grassy plains infested with ants! If you peek inside its mouth, you can see a giant metropolis of all the ants at work. Peeking inside its mouth also sets the ants off, and they will all bite you until you leave.
Palossand
Living inside Palossand is every ant’s dream! Palossand supplies every guest with five star meals, suites, and of course, a queen to serve. Ants can only move into Palossand on one condition, if they can help fend off predators!
Pilanscorch
Exposure to a Fire Stone caused this Pokémon to catch fire, though it doesn’t seem to mind. The ants have now also turned into fire ants, with pain that lasts for a week if they bite you, and possible death if the whole group retaliates. Pilanscorch also loves throwing dirt and grass at its foes, which catch fire because of its fiery hands.
