She took a deep breath. He ruined my life, I’m going to ruin his. “What if… It was Volo?” There was silence. It felt like everyone was staring at her.
“Well… I’ll definitely think about it.”
“But don’t you get it?” Peacock started again. “You’ve said it yourself, you don’t trust him, you rarely see him do his job, if he is even here.” Kamado looked like he was considering her idea.
“Now that you mention it, he could be the culprit. But even so, why would he? And he hasn’t even been here since before you left. But, I still need to talk to other people and see what they have to say.” He waved his hand in the air. “Now move along.”
***
Rei’s feet shuffled quietly, it wasn’t often that he was in Kamado’s office. The leader was standing and facing the window. “I can tell you’re nervous.” He said. “Don’t be, you’re not in trouble.” Rei let out a small sigh of relief but it didn’t completely calm his nerves. Kamado turned around and sat at his desk. “You don’t seem like the person who would attack someone. However, I called you here to ask if you knew anything about who it could be.”
“Well- Erm, I don’t really know, I haven’t seen anyone act suspicious. I guess we would have to know why they did it?” His voice trailed off into silence. Kamado closed his eyes.
“Rei, this is very important. If you know anything about who it could be, whether you really do know or it’s just a hunch, you need to tell me.”
The trainer looked at the ground. “Yes sir. But I’m telling you, I don’t suspect anyone.”
There was more silence before anyone spoke again. “You may leave. But I want you to keep your eyes and ears open for anything.” He waved his hand in the air, signally to Rei that he could leave. Rei nodded his head and left, feeling a part of the scorched wood by the doorway.
When he came out of the building, he glanced at Peacock, who was playing with her Pokemon. Why did this all have to happen?

It sure has been a moment since I worked on this
Peacock was startled awake by shouting coming from outside her house. She rubbed her eyes and lightly tapped Kawauso with his PokeBall. Walking over to her drawer, she tried on one of her new Fancy Kimonos. It fit well and looked nice. She walked out of her doorway and went to stand by Rei. “What’s going on?” She asked.
“Kamado is calling everyone in Jubile Village for an announcement.”
‘Oh, is that it?’ Peacock thought. ‘I wonder what it is this time.’
Their leader was standing at the top of the stairs to the Galaxy Hall. Once everyone had shown up, he had begun explaining how someone had directed a Pokemon to attack him in his sleep. “From what I’ve gathered, the move that the Pokemon used was Electro Ball. Unless the culprit speaks up now, I will have some of the Survey Corps’ members checking the moves of everyone’s Electric Types.”
“What if it wasn’t from an Electric Type?” Someone in the crowd asked.
“No, I can tell the attack was stronger than normal. Everyone is dismissed.”
Peacock turned around to walk back to her house but a guard called her name. She looked over her shoulder, seeing both the guard and Kamado coming towards her. “Yes?” She asked.
“What is the moveset of your Jolteon?”
The trainer blinked for a moment. “You think I did this?”
Kamado spoke. “You have been in quite a bit of trouble with me lately. But we do not think you are the culprit. Like I said, we’re checking everyone’s electric Pokemon.”
“Oh. Well, it’s Thunder, Iron Tail, Swift, and Quick Attack.” There were a few heartbeats of silence.
“Very well.” The two of them walked off.
Peacock started thinking for a few moments while she walked back to her home. Rei was leaning against the outside of his own house stroking his Pikachu’s fur. He looked up when she walked over. “What’re you thinking about?” He asked.
“Whoever attacked Kamado last night.”
“Really? That wasn’t something I thought you would worry about.”
“What is that supposed to mean?” She asked, a little irritatedly.
He dipped his head a little. “Oh- Nothing, it’s nothing.” Peacock glanced at him for a few heartbeats before turning back to think some more.
“What if…” She mumbled to herself, then quickly whipped around to find Kamado again. They weren’t far off, so it wasn’t hard to find them.
“What is it this time?” Kamado said with a sigh.
“I think I might have an idea of who attacked you last night.”

This part might look shorter than usual but it has bigger and less paragraphs
He had always had a crack there ever since he ran into a tree soon after he evolved, but when he was defeated by Volo’s Lucario the crack was made bigger. It didn’t seem to affect him much, though.
Peacock huffed, sitting down. “I can’t believe Kamado is dismissing me from survey work. I’m the one who’s filled out most of the Pokedex! Sure Rei does some too but…” She held her knees up to her chest and rested her head on them. “What am I supposed to do now? I could try asking around town for things to do, I guess. Or try to help in the fields…” Her starter licked the tear off her cheek. She smiled at him. “But for now, I think I’ll stay in here with you for a while.”
***
It was night time. It was darker than usual outside, the only streams of slight light was from the moon. Almost everyone was asleep and the Pokemon in their PokeBalls. The only ones awake were two guards at the entrance to Jubilife Village, but even they were drowsy.
One of the doors of the Galaxy Hall. Slowly it opened, creaking quietly but not loud enough to wake anyone up. A dark figure slid through the space and closed it behind them. Looking around, there was no one in the halls. They krept up the stairs, keeping low to the ground. The figure stopped at the top of the stairs and looked around again, locating a room. The room was Kamado’s office. His Hisuian Braviary was lying asleep on the floor near the doorway. It was the only one out of its PokeBall. Kamado was lying on a couch with him facing the ceiling.
The shadowy figure slowly tried to get into the opposite side of the room without waking up the Pokemon. They froze and held their breath as it moved its head, however it was only shifting itself and didn’t get up. They let go of their breath and started moving again to their destination. They reached into their pocket and pulled out a PokeBall. Sending out a Pokemon, they quietly whispered to them. Swiftly they ran back out the room and down the stairs. The Pokemon began to charge a giant ball of electricity. The small electric charge noises reached the Braviary and it drowsily blinked open its eyes.
When the Electro Ball was released, Braviary realized what was going on. It quickly countered with Air Slash, tossing the opposing Pokemon’s attack into the window where it exploded. The Pokemon ran out of the room in the same direction the figure went.
Kamado woke up with a jolt when he heard the loud noise. He glanced to Braviary, then to the wall. He placed a hand on his chest and breathed until his heart beat calmed down. His Pokemon stood beside him.
After a few moments, the commander spoke in a menacing voice. “Someone has tried to murder me.”

This part is a little longer
He led the way. She kept her gaze forward, trying to avoid eye contact, but it was hard not to glance around and see how people were reacting.
However, she did hear a few whispers.
“She’s finally coming back?”
“Do you think she’s recovered from that Alpha Ursaring attack?”
“Why was she gone for so long without reporting back to even Professor Laventon?”
“Is someone going to tell Kamado?”
“Where did Volo go?”
Peacock tried to not react and act like she couldn’t hear them. They stopped in front of Peacock’s house. Rei stood back as she opened the door and walked in. Not much had changed since she last saw it, other than being tidier.
He came up to the entrance. “I bought you some new outfits, they’re on top of your drawer.” Peacock turned her head towards it. There were 3-4 outfits, mostly Fancy Kimonos. “I thought you would want something new when you came back.”
She turned to him and dipped her head in appreciation. “Thank you.” Walking back to the entrance, she stuck her head outside. ‘I wonder how-’
She cut herself off as she spotted Kamado. She quickly ducked her head back inside. Rei glanced behind them and looked back. “What? Is there a problem?”
“Erm- No, it’s nothing.” She lied. “I’ve just got to…” She glanced around trying to think of an excuse. “I, uh, just need to check the Village Pastures and see how my Pokemon are doing!” She quickly hurried out of her home, heading towards the pastures.
However, she froze in her tracks when she heard her name being called. ‘Please don’t be Kamado please don’t be Kamado!’ she pleaded in her head as she turned around. Yet to her hopes, she saw Kamado heading towards her.
Peacock wanted to turn back around and keep going, but she knew that that would not only draw a bunch of attention, but also get her into more trouble than however much she was in now.
“I need to see you in my office. Immediately.”
The trainer lowered her gaze to the ground and nodded submissively. “Yes sir.” She glanced back up and sneered at his back as he walked away. Scuffing the ground as she started forward, she yet again avoided the gaze of others. Peacock pushed open the entrance to the Galaxy Hall.
***
Peacock stood in anger and shame with her gaze to the floor of Kamado’s office. He was scolding her intensely.
“What were you thinking? Running off without telling anyone where you were going? And right after you were attacked by an Alpha Pokemon too!” She was going to say something but his glare stopped her. “The least you could do was report to Professor Laventon. But you didn’t. Do you know how worried some people were that you wouldn’t come back?” Kamado shook his head. “I’m going to have to prevent you from leaving the village.” Peacock picked her head up.
“I’m dismissing you from Survey Work.”
“You can’t!” She protested.
He slammed his hands on his desk. “I can and I am. You should feel lucky that I’m not doing worse. You may leave.”
The newly dismissed trainer stood for a few more heartbeats before leaving. Cyllene looked up when Peacock walked by, but looked back down at her papers. Peacock bursted through the doors and stomped into her house, shutting the door behind her and sitting down on her bed. She let Kawauso out of his ball.
“Kawa?” His trainer stroked the top of his head, running her hand over the crack on his helmet.

Peacock had closed her eyes, but it only lasted for a few seconds.
“You’ll come back to the village though, right?”
She turned her head. “What?”
“Erm- The village. Aren’t you coming back?”
She was silent for a few moments. “I… Hadn’t really thought about it.”
Rei didn’t reply. Peacock glanced at him. He was getting something out of his satchel. “Here.” He said, handing something to her. “It’s food, like bread and stuff.”
She took it and looked inside. Closing it again, she said, “But why? This is yours, I can’t just take it.” He pushed it towards her.
“Well, if you’re not coming back to the village, there’s no reason why you should have to keep eating… Whatever you’ve been having.” He stood up. “I’m going to head back.” He didn't look at her and turned away.
“Wait!” She quickly stood up, almost stumbling. Rei looked hopefully over his shoulder. “I’ll… Come to the village tomorrow.”
He fully turned around. “Really!?”
Peacock hadn’t expected him to react so quickly. “Erm- Yeah. It might be hard and overwhelming but… I probably won’t feel any better if I just keep avoiding people.”
Rei grinned. “That’s great! I can get things ready, like try and fix up your house and ask Benni to make Potato Mochi and-”
“Rei.”
“Tell Celine and Professor Laventon that you’re back and-”
“REI.” He stopped.
“Oh, uh- Yes?”
“I don’t want a big welcoming party, I just want to go back normally.” Considering she got overwhelmed and had a breakdown from only two questions, Peacock didn’t want to know what would happen if it got worse.
“Oh… Sorry about that.” He sounded disappointed, but she could tell that he was still excited that she was coming back. “What time? Where? Are we meeting up or are you just going to walk in.”
“How about we meet up near the entrance at midday?” He nodded.
“I’ll see you tomorrow then!” He rushed off.
Peacock picked herself and the bag up. She felt a mix of emotions: Happy that she won’t be alone anymore, but still very afraid of what she’ll be met with. ‘As long as I can avoid Kamado, I should be fine.’ She wandered off towards where she had spent the night.
***
“AROMA!”
Peacock was startled awake when something hit her in the side. “OW!” She jumped back, rubbing her ribs. Rediaroma was standing a foot or two away. “What!?”
“Redia!” She lifted one of her leaf arms upwards. Peacock shielded her eyes as she looked up.
“What? I don’t see anything. It’s about the middle of the day and-” Peacock stopped. “Oh- Dang it!” She scrambled over to her satchel and put it on. “Come on, we need to hurry!” She tapped her Pokemon with her PokeBall and quickly put it away. Playing her flute, she hopped onto Wyrdeer.
A minute or two later she traveled next to the stream and got off. “Thanks Wyrdeer!” She patted his shoulder and headed towards the entrance. Rei was sitting and playing with his Pikachu with his finger. Pikachu perked up his ears when Peacock came over and ran up to her.
“Pika!” He sniffed her legs and nudged her foot with his nose.
“Hey!” She said, picking him up. She was careful not to touch his electric cheek pouches. He hopped onto her shoulders. Rei stood up.
“It looks like Pikachu missed you.” He laughed. She held him carefully and handed him back to Rei.
“So are you ready to go in? I can’t promise that you won’t get any strange looks.”
Peacock glanced inside the village. “Yes.”

I only have a little wrote after this so it'll be a little bit longer in between releases
Her head rammed into something. She fell back, and thankfully didn’t hit the rock behind her. But her head still pounded with pain.
“Oww…”
Peacock froze. She remembered that voice. It had been a while, but she’d recognize it anywhere. Lifting her head she opened her eyes to see what- Erm, who- she had rammed into.
The person who stood up rubbing their forehead was none other than the Galaxy Corps member Rei.
“Rei?” Peacock blinked a few times and stood up, just to make sure what she was seeing was real.
He stopped, and turned towards her. “P-Peacock?” There were a few heartbeats of silence as they stared at each other. “It is you!” He moved forward and wrapped her in a hug. “It’s been so long! Where have you been? What’s been going on? Why haven’t you come to the village or any camps?”
Peacock was beginning to feel overwhelmed. She pushed him away. Where have you been? What’s been going on? The questions struck her in a bad way. Memories started flooding back to her. Memories of the plates, of the statues, of losing to Volo. Peacock’s breathing became short and quick. She trembled, crouching down. The nightmares enveloped her. She was being surrounded by Volo’s Pokemon, by Alpha Pokemon, all roaring and making aggressive noises at her. Volo was suddenly near her, his hand reached out. “The plates.” He said menacingly. “Hand over the plates or else!” She flinched, almost falling backwards.
“Peacock! PEACOCK!” The nightmare faded away, the Pokemon disappeared, and Volo turned into Rei. He had held his hand out, but took it back when his friend flinched. He looked very concerned. “What’s wrong? Did I do something?"
She got up and started backing away. Her breathing was still shallow. Swiftly, she turned and ran. Not knowing exactly where she was going, she headed towards the woods.
***
Rei stood there, dumbfounded. Was it something he did? Did he do something wrong? He was just trying to help out with the Pokedex. He turned around, but the Eevee was long gone by now. He stood there for a few more moments. “What now?” He said to himself. “She did seem pretty freaked out but…” He looked down at the PokeBall she dropped, and picked it up. “A good friend would try and help.” He started in the direction that Peacock ran. He glanced around to watch out for any Pokemon, but there was only Starlys, Wurmples, and a few Bidoofs.
He stopped when he heard a strange sound. “Is that…?” He walked a few more paces and looked around a tree. Peacock was leaning on it with her arms wrapped around her knees, sniffling. She didn’t react when he walked over. He sat against the side of the tree. His friend turned her head to face the opposite direction.
“So… Umm… Do you want to talk?” He waited but there was no answer. “I’m sorry if it’s something I did. I was just trying to help with the Pokedex and I’m sorry if I-”
“No.”
“N-No?”
“It’s… Not your fault.” They sat in silence once again. “About Volo… You were right.” Rei looked at her in surprise. “About… Not trusting him.” She sighed. “When you said he was only wanting something for himself, you were correct.” She sniffled again. “After I got the last of the 17 plates, we visited some statues, and agreed to meet at the Temple of Sinnoh. I arrived there and…”
“And what?”
“And he told me what he was really after. He just wanted to meet… Arceus, or whatever he called it. He told me that he was the one who created the rift, and he was just using me to get the plates. He pulled out the last one and… Demanded I give him the rest.” She closed her eyes tightly and shuddered. “Give them to him so he could use them to meet Arceus, but would destroy and get rid of everything in Hisui. The battle went so horribly, I lost and ran. I thought if I came back to the village, everyone would blame me. So I ran. And I hid. Why get exiled by someone else if I could do it myself.”
Rei huffed. “Well we can’t just stand by! We have to go teach Volo a lesson!” He went to get up, but Peacock grabbed his sleeve. This time she was looking directly at him.
“No!” There was fear in her eyes. “You can’t, you don’t know how strong he is! The two of us would be no match, I don’t even know how many people it would take to defeat him. Rei slowly sat down again.
“Oh…” He started thinking, thinking of a way to defeat him, or at least make the situation better for Peacock.

Well here's how and where the sequel starts
As I'm sure you can tell, I don't have a name for it yet (I didn't name Exiled until I was almost done writing it)
I'm not posting parts every day like with Exiled, but maybe every other day or every three days
Rei padded back and forth at the entrance to Jubilife Village. His Pikachu was standing not far off, watching him. After a few more moments, it bounded up to him and nudged his leg.
Stoping, he glanced down at him. He bent down and rubbed his Pokemon’s forehead. Pikachu looked worried still.
He sat down next to him, and let out a sigh. “I know I shouldn’t worry, she’s spent days outside of the village before, but this time it just… Feels different. The last time she was here, she left soon after she healed from the Alpha Ursaring attack, and she was in such a hurry.”
“Pika!”
“I know, I know, I’m probably worrying for no reason. I guess I can wait a few more days, but after that I’m telling Celine- Or Laventon- That we should go looking for her.”
***
Three days. It had been three days since Peacock ran, three days since she lost the battle to Volo, three days since she had exiled herself. She laid in the grass, playing in the water of a small stream with her finger. The pain in her back still came back sometimes, but the large gashes had started bothering her less. Her attention was brought back to her surroundings when Aishigosuto, her Hisuian Zoroark, nudged her shoulder.
Peacock lifted her head, then pushed herself up with her arms. She sat up and stroked Aishigosuto’s face, and he made a content rumbling sound.
“Well.” She started while getting up to stand. “How does a little training sound?”
“Roark!” Her Pokemon started gently pushing her in the direction of Aspiration Hill with his head.
“Ok, ok! We can go somewhere else to train. How about the Alabaster Icelands?” He nodded his head up and down. “Alright, looks like we better get ready to embrace the cold!” Peacock returned him to his PokeBall, and called Braviary.

The battle went awful. Peacock’s whole team got pummeled by Volo’s. Before he had the chance to do anything, she swiftly turned around and raced off. She wasn’t able to understand what he said, but she heard Volo say something to his Pokemon. Probably directing an attack. She wouldn’t let that happen. Not again. She couldn’t afford getting attacked by another Pokemon, she might not live this time. Definitely not if he got the plates. She played her flute and kept running until Wyrdeer showed up. She swiftly climbed on and ran off. Tears streamed down her face. She constantly had to wipe her face with her arm so she could see where they were going.
Peacock had nowhere to go. She couldn’t tell anyone. They would blame her for creating this mess. She was the one who listened to him. She was the one who collected the plates. Rei was right. And Peacock snapped at him. What kind of friend does that?
She couldn’t tell Professor Laventon or Celine either. They would look at her disappointed. And there was no chance that she was going to tell Kamado. Who knows what he would do, he’d probably exile her again. She had to run. And she had to hide. Volo might stay and wait for her, but he could also use Pokemon to track her down. She could go back, if she was stronger, but he’d call her a coward. Maybe she could stay with Cogita…
No. She might have known and helped him. Peacock had to find a place to stay. She’ll find a place in the Obsidian Fieldlands. That seemed far enough away from the Temple. It was probably one of the safer places to stay. And she could stay with her Pokemon.
Yes, that was a good idea. Stay in the Fieldlands. Safe and with her Pokemon. She would exile herself.

Peacock was in the Survey Corps’ headquarters when she had gained consciousness again. She glanced around to see a lady working on something near the corner of the room. That lady looked over, seeing that she was awake. “Oh good, you’re awake.”
“Who are you?” Peacock managed to get out, her voice horse and somewhat frail-sounding. The lady smiled.
“My name is Pesselle. I’m a healer. You probably haven’t heard of me because people don’t get attacked by Pokemon often like you did.”
Peacock wanted to find her funny, but it was hard to. “What happened?”
“Well,” Pesselle started while mashing things in a stone bowl. “There was a bunch of commotion outside, and someone called my name. I came downstairs and went outside to see Rei riding Wyrdeer. He hopped down and ran over to me, saying that you were attacked by an Alpha Ursaring and your back had big gashes on it. Him, a few others, and I helped carry you into this room. I started treating your wounds, then wrapped them in bandages, and about an hour later, you woke up, and here we are.” She brought the little bowl over. “Drink this.” She handed it to her, helping Peacock sit up so she could drink it. It was bitter, but she could tell it would make her feel less pain.
“Oh, and,” Pesselle handed her a wood log. “Rei said this was near you and he thought that you were there for it. Who knows why.” Peacock took it and put it in her satchel. “Now, get some rest again and I’ll let you leave later.”
***
Peacock was rushing down the stairs when Pesselle said it was ok for her to leave. She had to get back to Volo and Cogita right away, no delays. She bursted through the door, almost falling down the front steps as she went. Rei was waiting near the entrance. “Hi! Bye! Thanks for the wood log! Gotta go!” She said hurriedly, not stopping. He huffed. She didn’t even stop to talk to the person guarding the Jubilife Village entrance. “I can’t take any risks this time.” Peacock said, playing her flute. This time, she called Hisuian Braviary. She hopped on, and headed out to where she was meant to be.
Hopping down, she waved goodbye to Braviary. She ran, but stopped herself before entering the tent and dusted herself off. She didn’t want to arrive looking like she got attacked by a Pokemon or anything like that. “I’m so sorry I’m late!” She said, walking inside. “I had a… Roadblock…”
“Yes yes, go on with it.” Cogita said, sitting at her table again. This time she didn’t stand up. Peacock wanted to glance at Volo to see what he was thinking, but she also didn’t want to be more embarrassed than she already was. She just handed the three wood logs to Cogita and stepped back a few paces. “Yes, these are just what I wanted.” She set the wood logs on the table and stood up, walking in front of it.
“Thank you. I just needed them to make a new cutting board.” She handed a pink plate to Peacock. “I’ve been using this as one, but I thought it looked like the plates you’ve been collecting.” Peacock took it grinning, then put it in her satchel.
Giving the gray haired lady their thanks, Peacock and Volo walked out. “So…” Peacock started. “What do we do now?”
Volo made a face like he was thinking. “Well, why don’t we go to the Celestica Ruins? They do have statues of Dialga and Palkia. Maybe we’ll find something there.” She nodded, but when they began walking, Cogita came a little ways outside of her tent.
“Volo, you say you’re a part of the Ginkgo Guild, but when are you going to do your job as a merchant?”
He didn’t reply, just waving his hand over his shoulder.
