Regigigas

So if you could replace their ability with a different one, which would it be?

Sure, Goh had some lucky catches in Journeys, but who remembers THIS BEHEMOTH known as Dia’s Regigigas?

For the uninitiated, after Platinum lost to Jupiter in Adventures in a fight that left Maylene and Candace unconscious (this was in Volume 7 of the Diamond & Pearl arc of Adventures), Platinum initially planned to guard the two until she realized the fight wore her out as well and she fell asleep, dropping one of her Pokéballs in the process.

2 volumes later, one of Platinum’s Pokéballs bursts open while Dia makes a beeline for the Distortion World portal with his new Mamoswine, and it turns out a Regigigas comes out of it! And it would later become Dia’s sixth and final team member! Oh, and it 1v2’d Dialga & Palkia with relative ease.

But back to the point, Platinum ended up at the Snowpoint Temple, fell asleep after a fight that wore her out, and not only unknowingly caught a LEGENDARY POKÉMON IN A POKÉBALL, but also gave it to Diamond for FREE.

Geez, and people call Goh the lucky one.

I guess you could say I was a little slow to the party? LOL

These are all separate pokemon

1. Gen 5, not legendary or mythical, was never featured in a who's that pokemon segment (reuniclus)

2. Sinnoh legendary, cannot be traded to scarlet/violet (regigigas)

3. Tied with Mega steelix for highest defense of a usable pokemon (Shuckle)

4. Has the same base attack stat as its final evolution but higher than it's first evolution, is base form/unevolved (trapinch)

5. Has crystals on its body, not available in scarlet and violet, not legendary or mythical (mega steelix)

Regirust is a Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon and a former member of the Legendary Titans. It is an old prototype of Registeel that remained untouched for thousands of years, until what might be a human’s soul entered the being, and the prototype came to life.

• Metal Claw

• Sunsteel Strike

• Mirror Shot

• Shadow Ball

• Nightmare

• Confuse Ray

• Hidden Power

• Body Slam

Trivia:

• It doesn’t care about the time Regigigas forgot about it for a while, and denies the fact it is possessed.

• It rests a lot, and I mean a lot.

• Regigigas, along with the other Legendary Titans doesn’t know that Regirust is possessed.
