Ralts

If any of you remember the episode "Do I Hear A Ralts," it focused on Max & Snorunt trying to save a Ralts that was suffering from pneumonia. In fact, Nurse Joy said that if Max brought Ralts to the Pokémon Center an hour later than he did, it would've been too late (hinting that Ralts would've died from pneumonia).

So, rewatching the ending to that episode through the official Pokémon YouTube channel’s video "Top 10 Most Emotional Goodbyes," I got to thinking what an Ice-Ghost type version of the Ralts line would look like. Though I couldn’t dream up any designs, I did figure out what they could be based off of.

Since the Psychic type Ralts seems to be based off a teru teru bozu, a talisman made by Japanese farmers to ward off rainy days, I figure an Ice-Ghost regional variant of Ralts could be based off the yuki onna, a supernatural entity within Japan’s mythology that is usually depicted in white clothes & having dark hair. The yuki onna usually appears on snowy nights and is believed to have ice manipulation, commonly using it on other people.

While the Ice-Ghost type variants for Kirlia & Gardevoir would lean into the yuki onna inspiration further, Gallade (being Gallade) would instead be based off of Boreas, the Greek God of the North Wind. His blade hands would even be changed to resemble Boreas's wings.

“Basil, do you see anybody?” Frona’s Ralts had a unique talent for being able to sense what Pokemon were nearby just with their Psychic powers. While it was handy mainly in battles, it was also useful for checking the plane passengers during their “shifts”.

“Ra… ra… Ralts!” That meant that there was either a Pikachu or a Raichu aboard the plane. This was a somewhat rare occurrence, but there was still the need to wait for them to arrive. Plus, since Basil would be a bit exhausted now, he couldn’t check for Alexa’s Helioptile to confirm it.

“Alright, thank you little buddy.” They gave Basil some headpats, before zoning back in on the plane passengers, analyzing each of them quickly but thoroughly, almost like a robot. Look, confirm, switch. Look, confirm, switch. Look, confirm, switch. It was a rhythmic system, but it did its’ job well.

Most of everyone had gotten out of the plane, and they had yet to see any Pikachu’s or Raichu’s in passing. This could be it…

And then… they saw Alexa walk out of the plane with a Pikachu tailing right behind her.

As for gallade...it just runs.

OK let’s start with the most obvious and most common complaint:why does Gardevoir have a 50/50 gender Radio? The answer is because Gallade did not exist when the Ralts line came out and Ralts would have a 50/50 gender ratio so……Refrain about this Pokémon’s gender

Tell me what to explain next and I’ll make a new chapter for my story

I doodled this a while ago and was debating posting it until now. It started as a mushroom, then I added limbs. I would make a name and stats and possibly another evolution, but I think they look like ralts/kirlia to be a legit fakemon.
