So i got the three paldean starters as mystery gifts in violet. as someone who hasnt completed the mmain story, i dont know if ill be able to obtain them/ catch them later on. i want to keep my likos sprigatito, dots quaxly and roys fuecoco all unevolved since they are special. but i also want to evolve them for the dex.
Will i get a chance to catch them later?
Should i evolve them or keep them as they are?

Looks like Sprigatito, Fuecoco, Quaxly, Koraidon, Miraidon, Ogerpon, and Terapagos got killed by Galeem's light beams and now they're spirits. Somehow I predicted this exact lineup earlier, although I wasn't 100% sure if Pokémon Scarlet and Violet would even get an event.
(The quotes are for the potential English dub.)Roy is building a field. “Glad to know construction fees were waived. Aren’t you, Fuecoco?” he says, then returns Fuecoco. Once he completes the field, Roy encounters a Charizard, a Pokémon currently unknown to Paldea. He immediately calls Liko, and tells her through the Rotom Phone, “I did ALL of my research on Pokémon, enough research to learn about Pokémon OUTSIDE OF THIS REGION, like Charizards!” Liko is amazed, and immediately hangs up. “Wowee! I didn’t know that Paldea was only home to some Pokémon and not all of them,” she says. She invites everyone in Paldea, including Nemona, to a battle between her and Roy’s crew and the Charizard. Nemona ends up leaving brown footprints, and who else trips and falls, and then follows the prints, but Ash Ketchum himself! He decides to sit next to Nemona, who smiles at him. Ash widely smiles back at her, and then they watch the battle. Pawmi and Pikachu become fast friends, and the battle between the crew and the Charizard, who happens to belong to Leon, rages on. Liko and Roy are having trouble, but they then realize what they did wrong: they didn’t work together! Soon the duo sing their anthem song, and in the midst of it, Roy, without interruption, says, “GO! FUECOCO!” The two, along with Sprigatito, who uses Leafage, Fuecoco, who uses Ancient Power, and Quaxly, who uses Tackle, end up beating Leon, and celebratorilbly sing their “We Did It!” song. Nemona claps for Liko and Roy, leaving Ash confused. Nemona introduces herself, along with Liko and Roy, to Ash, and then he (Ash) says, “You know, I’ve suddenly gotten enough energy to have a battle! How about you, Nemona?” Nemona approves, saying that all her work is already done. Ash then calls Liko. The end. To be continued…

So here is my design for Ash if he still was the pokemon protagonist along with his main partner Pikachu and his regional starter Fuecoco!!!
This designer takes inspiration from Lhzur's design and some of my original ideas.
Now that I think about it I might make a fanmade fan fiction of where Ash continues his journey and goes to paldea, Ash becomes a mentor to liko and yeah. I haven't decide it because I want to work on the Pokemon BW Rewrite so yeah.
I’ve only had Quaxly for a day and a half, but if anything happened to him I would kill everyone in this room and then myself.
