Part 6:

I think whizbang might be legitimately the last new member on the squad. I don't think I can squeeze ursaring on, and houndoom would only be there for dark and fire type coverage...which gojira and phanphan (Via fire fang) already cover. I'm satisfied, let's trundle on.
Accidentally found a shiny and caught it for keepsakes. I can't use it, but I don't want to lose it either. I was also trying to train gojira too...for obvious reasons (he only becomes ttar at level 55). Anywho, he and hbox are my choices for ryme.
Something I didn't know: Disarming Voice is a spread move. It's weak, but since idk where d gleam is it will do. It complements Rock slide surprisingly well against the gym trainers, so let's see how well they can square against ryme.
Ryme starts with light screen (RIP hbox Disarming Voice?) and attempted speed control with icy wind but the above happens.
Rock slide and Disarming Voice blast through mimikyu and banette, forcing out houndstone and tera ghost toxtricity (lucky as if it didn't tera Disarming Voice would have done donkeys).
This time their combined might was too much as gojira is defeated by paralysis and hex, so I send out phanphan as a replacment, but she (probably forgot i had a female donphan) gets dumpstered by a double team hyper Voice and phantom force.
Amphy and toxtricity exchange discharges at the end, the latter takes out hbox but because it's weakened, amphy comes in clutch and lit a way through the impending darkness, defeating his foe with his discharge. (Updating what to answer rika test with...) Anywho, great tusk time (not using it here though, it may be too strong+phanphan has high friendship, let's not betray it).
Quad weakness? Don't mind if I do....(phase 2 had sandstorm but Gyro still cleanly swept through)
Before I moved on, I had phanphan duel the great tusk, and with a bit of potion support, she won.
See you guys in about an hour after I navigate this part...
Forget it, let's beat dondozo, unlock climb and then come back.
Gyro took dozo on twice, winning the first one and second one.
Tatsugiri, on the other hand, needed a combination of leech seed and acrobatics to bring down. The fact that Gyro still won is amazing. Anywho, after getting that climb I'm so getting into alfornada now. (Usually I'd fight arven right after but after tatsugiri I'd rather not push my luck, plus I'm still on the 5 items per battle rule)
Anywho, I ended up fighting nemona instead at alfornada after using climb to cheese past the cave (feels very mega man rush jet beats disappearing blocks esque). Gojira easily owns lycanroc with eq. Sliggoo falls to play rough from hbox (Disarming Voice wasn't cutting it anymore). Phanphan deletes pawmot with eq.
Deciding to let Amphy get a rematch with quaquaval after what happened last time. The level gap allows him to tank aqua step much easier and electrocute the dancing duck with ease.
Because of the high level evo requirement once again, Gojira accompanied my character to the ESP section....and completely steamrolled the 1st gym trainer.
Uh...gojira? You alright? (He was back to normal for the second gym trainer...but was oofed by a high jump kick , hbox and amphy had to clean up the mess he left behind)
Gojira later starts my battle with Tulip. I hate the high evo level means I have to use him for everything. He unfortunately doesn't ohko farigiraf and let reflect go up...and then he learns Hyper Beam. I was gonna use it ofc but he got defeated by gardevoirs energy ball, and Whizbang gets defeated soon after getting a p jab off.
I send amphy in and he electrocutes both the gardevoir and espathra, but sustained a lot of damage. I then swap him out for hbox for the latter to take on florges.
Hbox gets 2 shadow balls off before fainting. Gyros acrobatics did the finishing blow. (Jeez, ryme or Tulip for rikas questionnaire? Hmm...)
Anywho, since my team is slightly stronger, I decided to go for the arven battle. I have t spikes and spikes back on Whizbang and ready myself to set up as much as possible. (I saw speedrunners solo his team witj 1 meowscarada, if I'm tactical enough I can overcome the level gap)
Wait...Pagogo, is that you? (Top left) Quick tangent aside, let's do this.
Due to me forgetting greedent had body slam, whizbang only gets 1 layer of t spikes up, so I try Gyros leech seed. I'm forced to full restore Gyro after she gets paralysed (and she gets paralysed haxd again and deletes it with power of friendship). Gyro eventually wears down greedent.
Surprisingly, Gyro shreds through scovillain in 1 hit, before I swap to hbox to get around garganacls huge def.
Hbox defeats garganacl in 3 hits but rocks are on my side of the field.
I go back into Gyro to handle toedscruel but she's defeated, and I sack off hbox after hyper Voice doesn't ko (she does attempt a 1hp live though), and phanphan finishes it off with fire fang somehow (it was going for spore)?
I swap into amphy to fight cloister, and the oyster is zapped away by discharge. Amphy is thrn defeated by mabosstiff but his d gleam did leave a dent.
Phanphan and gojira both get destroyed by mabosstiffs crunch, and a revived Gyro barely gets the win. That was close!
This feels like a good stopping point. Next round...I think I'll beat Starfall next.
