So i may or may not have mentioned how recently i have been getting more active in trading my pokemon cards, but something really stood out to me while looking through my cards, and i am absolutely certain it has to other people.
Yuka morii. you probably have heard of her. she is an AMAZING artist for the tcg who incorporates the real world in her artworks (which is probably a reminder for some really hardcore pokemon fans to get outside) and she does it in the best way possible. she makes little mini clay versions of pokemon and takes breathtaking pictures, showing where the pokemon would live and be if it was in the real world. it also is one of the things that inspired me to start clay pokemon, after a few discouraging incidents, because it was the fact that she has been doing this since neo destiny came out, 20 years ago. it really showed me and made me realise that it is enjoyable, o matter the outcome.
I have quite a few of her cards, including: Sizzlipede, alolan dugtrio, weedle, woobat, magnemite, stonjourner, torchic and many others. they all have a personality in their pictures, and that really is enough to make me love them.
Also, i would like to talk about tomokazu komiya. his hand-drawn artworks are really what makes me sure that, if i try, i can reach that level. i dont particularly like digital art, preferring pencil to paper over it, and before i came across his cards, i thought, i wont be able to make my art onto a pokemon card, as hand-drawn cards were, to me, unheard of. but his arts are the perfect mix of bursting with design and keeping the main focus, which is one of the hardest things for quite a lot of people to balance out, but his work is the exact personification of that (i dont know how else to describe it) but i just love it so much. they arent particularly realistic, but the creativity he has put into his cards is just off the scale. some of the cards of his i have are: farfetch'd, bunnelby, salazzle, grumpig, gastly, drampa and wiglett.
One of my favourite things about the tcg is the artworks, which inspire me so much. this is the main reason why full-arts are one of my most prized cards. unfortunately though, i never do pay much attention to the artist themself, i kinda just appreciate the artwork and not them. but these artists have such a unique art style that i cant miss it. they have really made an impact on the way i view the artworks.
What other artists have made an impression on you?
So i have recently become more active in trading my pokemon cards with others, and looking through my collection and other people's, i see single and rapid strikes. i dont know what they offer to a battle as an advantage but the only thing i know is that these have to correspond with urshifu in some way, but then what about fusion strike? i have a few single strike and rapid strikes but they arent too good. my only fusion strike is a shelmet 😭 so i want to know if theyre worth collecting in the senand what about trainers? how does this whole thing work????
Also i said that they must correspond w/ urshifu so i am going to make a fusion strike urshifu + gmax form bc it doesnt have that and also wynaut?
I have some newer ones
But they are packed away
I got some of these from my own pulls but one of the full art ones i got from an online friend and the other two i got at my local card shop
Now these ones i pulled myself
(My hand is covering mew, sorry)
My sister ordered a koren eevee Evolution box✨💖
I'm new, but I already started a debate, commented on a few posts, and will work on a render once my poll runs out, and I'll make a part 2. You could say I'm at my earliest home (I was a fan of Pokémon since I was 7, and collected the cards since then, but somehow I have a 1999 card (Pikachu 60/64 80% of mint condition),
Not to mention raging bolt has no weakness and that raging bolt can use Ancient Booster Energy Capsule.
I opened a pack from a VSTAR bundle every day for 7 days (i opened two on day 1) and it just so happened on the VERY LAST PACK, i pulled a Full Art Trainer gallery card. Crazier even, the two packs before that had two Pokemon V’s, so i was able to perfectly predict which packs to open in which order for the rares to get better and better. Anyways, super glad i pulled a Trainer Gallery, absolutely did not expect that. (This is also my first Trainer Gallery i’ve ever pulled!) For those who want to know, it’s the Frosmoth from Astral Radiance.
I've noticed that the TCG pages are very low-mantained. Since not many people pass through these pages, we can create an infobox to quickly summarize information up. Also, I'll be willing to edit the pages myself.
I kid you not, Lokix.
Lokix is the most powerful card in the game.
“But that damage is dogwater!!!”
Nuh uh uh.
The max health a pokemon can have (excluding promos) is 340, right? So, calculation time.
Shock! This is the maximum damage you can do with Punishing Kick. (Or is it?)
It would normally do 1,320, but lets not forgot about weaknesses.
There are some cards with 350, but those are promo cards. And it could do:
But thats not all. Some pokemon cards even have 500 or 1000 HIT POINTS! So, can you imagine the damage from that?
I did over 700 damage on a skeledirge ex lol
Lol i just remembered, if you use Punishing Kick against a psychic, it will do over 1000 damage.
