Part 8:
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003830797
Part changes: Scattor is sent to the box (permanently) in place of sylph, who I change the nature to modest as he came with careful.
I also use the non titan tatsus to exp grind goo, who has the lucky egg.
Becuz of no rain I temporarily send goo to the box and train noizy instead,he evolves after defeating a slaking. Unfortunately he didn't come with boomburst, which I wanted to use with throat spray. That said he's gotten exponentially stronger.
I also evolve berg into avalugg, who may come in handy later.
Found a stake.
Also I tried stalling for rain for about an hour and avoiding battling with goo in hand before I finally snapped and got rid of my free shot at instant goodra by having noizy defeat a skrelp. Now I can actually fight dozo now.
Those jaws could eat anything... anywho I didn't want to use noizy for this, so I swap goated in on a water pulse, then set up a bulk up (eat a body slam but get para hax'd),break through para hax to take it to orange with horn leech while eating a water pulse, fall to para hax (then destroy it with power of friendship), finishing dozo off.
Phase 2, I start with an immediate bulk up as Greedent gets a tail whip off and eats a water pulse. I horn leech dozo, taking it to orange, Greedent takes down dozo but eat and order up and recoil in the process. 1 more horn leech takes dozo out.
Now it's sylphs turn to shine against tatsu, I swap him in as gogoats grass moves are resisted, and Greedent eats a dragon pulse while using take down on tatsu.
Greedent is taken out by muddy water, Sylph gets off a moonblast that sends tatsu to orange. 2 more take it out (as it misses muddy water and lands icy wind)
Well, I think I'm not gonna do any more party swaps after this, it may be a bit risky to do so and have to train up weaker mons. I'm willing to beat AI SADA with a sliggoo if I can't get a goodra.
Anywho, I think I should be able to handle the arven fight with a bit of luck. I have mons who can take out some of his in theory.
Also I decided it's time for an outfit change, I keep wanting to for so long, and I decided to. Plus it's prob better protection in area zero.
I set up calm mind with sylph against Greedent, tanking a body slam, then unleash a +1 moonblast and barely survive another hit. (And ofc it stared to rain. Seriously??) I max potion and eat psychic fangs, then take Greedent out with another moonblast.
Next is toedscool, so in comes talonflame z who's aerial ace does over half as sludge bomb takes me to orange.
It lived on 1 HP and spored me, forcing me to full restore and get poisoned afterwards. 1 quick attack takes toedscruel out. (Also the rains gone).
Goo takes garg on...and doesn't do a lot as rocks come in (rip fletchie and noizy). Water pulse again, goo barely survives a stone miss. Stone miss takes goo out.
Time for Gogoat to clutch.
Seed bomb deletes garg, and is itself deleted for leaf blade. Can it take cloyster...wait scovillain? Huh.
I set up a bulk up as fire blast misses. This I'll be useful against cloyster. Fire Miss connects this time however, and Gogoat is downed.
Scovillain somehow fire blasts me, apparently it's got nothing to hit me with.
I swap Nala into cloyster, and somehow decimates cloister with hyper voice (no crit to boot).
Last but not least is mabostuff so I swap Sylveon in. I max potion (3/5 items used)
Moonblast manages to take manostiff to red HP after sylph eats a play rough, so I used max potion to be able to finish the job Alive.
Technically I was under levelled but managed to put up a good fight.
Next time, Eris going down.
Part 7:
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003830487
Party change: Scattor in place of kelpitcool...Noizy in place of Flo.
This is likely the last Mon I catch and add to rotation. Not this time tho.
Anywho nemona battle time...and I lead with noizy who I really want to evolve..oh no. Luckily I have gogoat. Lycanroc gets accelrock off and a rock slide before going down.
Not really who I had in mind...
I swap noibat in, then Gogoat who eats a d pulse from sliggoo. I set up a bulk up, then EQ sliggoo to take it out.
Pawmot t waves Gogoat, horn leech takes it down to red. Desperation wild charge fails to take Gogoat out, and noizy comes back in after gogoat seed bombs pawmot.
Of course noisy doesn't take it out, and he's decimated by flower tricks crit boost, leaving flethchie to finish up. Jeez, can't I switch up what mons I use from time to time?
I do the challenge with Goo.. somehow the angry button makes her sad. Poor goo. Anywho she managed to decimate the 1st trainers Gothorita in 2 d pulses. The Kirlia goes down to 2 water pulses.
The second trainer I use acid spray twice while tanking psyshocls, and a dragon pulse defeats the pig.
Goo was on low HP so I swap in flethchy to deal with medicham, who survives an aerial ace and jump kicks my falcon. Luckily fletchy still has quick attack up his feathers.
For indeedee I swap in Noizy. While it sets up a calm mind, I go for super fang, becuz indeedee I'm sure has a heck ton of HP so this is necessary. Noizy gets rekt by a +1 psychic, but his super fang allowed nala to take indeedee out with a dark pulse, learnt via TM I found while training.
Speaking of Nala, I lead her into the alfornada gym....and it's raining come on. (Then again goo is a slow grower so not like I can evolve it...may actually have to run eviolite sliggoo...)
Farigiraf was downed in 2 dark pulses, tho it got a zen headbutt in, and I swap in goo after gardy wrecks nala...only for a quick claw water pulse to not take it out becuz rain went bye bye
Goo gets defeated by 2 d gleams, so
Fletchie quick attack to the rescue yet again.
Espathra is burned by flare blitz (what r the odds?) and a psychic does a bit of damage.
Tera Aerial Ace doesn't take it out...but burn does.
Fletchie is too weak to face florges, so it's up to goated to save the day yet again. I set up bulk up as florges teras to psychic, and tank a moonblast (which drops my sp attack...not like I'm using it anyway.) EQ doesn't take florges out as I eat another moonblast, so I swap to stab seed bomb, and florges is down.
Snow slope run I got a new low score becuz I missed quite a few banners. Anywho it's nala vs grusha (becuz flare blitz can't do anything in snow)
I use frosmoth as set up to get +4 in special attack via work up, and stall out the tail wind (it's blizzard keeps missing). Nala then proceeds to melt grushas entire team. Yep, even cetitan.
Now with all my mons available to use, I'm ready to fast track to area zero in the next few eps.
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003828988
Just for funsies I decided to see if berg really won't listen to me. He did this. Urgh.
Anywho because I really want to try and use some other mons and not settle into a team I swap noizy and flo in place of scattor and El haw.
Yay. (She also eventually learnt flamethrower after a bit of grinding with the rest-about time, as she had ember as her stab option all this while).
Onto Larry's "gym trainers": the one near the food stalls wrecks noizy (everything seems to wreck him-I didn't know noibat was that fragile, must explain why ashs Noivern has so many Ls) with her Gumshoos take down, and flo barely survives one to magical leaf ko it.
Nala dodged a counter coming into the Greedent by doing that, and cooks Greedent with flamethrower (man it's nice to have flamethrower).
For the next one no more playing games, especially since dunsparce is involved, so noizy (who I was switch training) is switched out into goated, who tanks a hyper drill.
I attempt to set up on dunsparce but get yawned, so goated has to be swapped out, going into talonflame, who tanks a hyper drill and actucates flame body.
Despite having the level advantage, flaw blitz doesn't take out dunsparce and fletchie uses power of friendship to live on 1hp, finishing off the dunsparce with a quick attack.
With fletchie crippled and lack of healing items,I'm only left with Nala and Gogoat.
Noizy goes into Nala who tanks a play rough. Nala then singes ursaring with flamethrower as it sweet scents her. Luckily she's able to finish off the bear with a base power echoed voice.
The gym puzzle is my 3rd/4th attempt and j easily beat it...but first I'm grabbing some healing items and healing up.
Let's do this.
1st battle is komala vs talonflame.
Somehow flare blizt doesn't defear komala, neither did it's slam on me. It yawned fletchie after a quick attack fails to beat it so Nala comes in to another slam.
I'm gonna try to set up LORB boosted echoed voices, since komala here's on low HP the weakest one take it's out.
Goo hasn't evolved and already knows dragon pulse. How.
Anywho dudunsparce tanks my echoed voice and glares me, the next one takes it out, but staraptor could be the end of me...due to LORB... hopefully iechoed voice is powerful enough to take it out at this stage-
I got outsped...and a paralyze Nala goes down to tera facade .
Goated barely sets up a bulk up as aerial ace does severe damage to him. He eats a max Potion (when does he get milk drink) and tanks the next one.
A second aerial ace sends him back into orange as EQ doesn't take staraptor out.
Goated then falls to the next aerial ace.
Luckily, fletchies able to finish the job with a flare blitz. Phew. How has battling these been tougher than usual? I really need to focus on the gameplay and not writing this lol.
Now for nemona battle number...I think 3?
Lycanroc is first, and I lead with fletchie
Lycanroc got played like a fiddle as goated comes in and sets up 1 bulk up. And another one just in case. 1 EQ takes lycanroc down (why it kept accelerocking though?)
I was so tempted to have a goomy mirror match but decided not to and take it out with EQ. Pawmo also falls to EQ.
In comes meowscarada. Nemona teras before me, so does tera speed have anything to do with pokemon speed?
Slash doesn't crit (good),but aerial ace barely takes it to orange. A second such exchange happens, but aerial ace is able to take it out. Once again Gogoat supremacy moment. (I wasn't even going for a Gogoat sweep).
Anywho, now it's time for Atticus.
Unfortunately I don't have anything mich to hit poisons types beyond goateds eq. I'm gonna try anyway.
Goo fires off a dragon pulse to take out gulpin (though gulpin snuck in 1 stockpile). (1st one was also quick claw)
Shroodle outsped it and poison jabbed gpo, as fire off a dragon pulse, though flatter stops goo from sweeping and takes her out with a poison jab. Dang, so close. Fletchie can finish this off in a jiffy with a quick attack though.
That said goo does partake in the star barrage after a quick revive alongside fletchie and Nala. She's not terribly good at it but at least it's something considering Goomy is..well, "the weakest dragon type". I do have antidotes galore (I use potions more than status curing items) so this should be fine.
Fletchie plays the sucker punches like a fiddle and eats a toxic as he gets to +6 speed. He can't take out skuntank with aerial aces and gets demolished.
Flo is sent in and I tera her, intending on using grassy terrain and flower veil to block poison attempts and slowly chip away at it. She then gets flinched while trying to use draining kiss by sucker punch before passing a wish to herself and eventually defeating the skunk.
Goated comes in to set up one bulk up on Muk... except it's a special set. EQ takes out the living pile of sludge.
In comes base revavroom, EQ wipes it as well.
The super revavroom damages goated a lot with noxious torque as EQ sends it to half. Goated barely lives another noxious torque and gets a second bulk up.
Apparently that's enough to allow me to survive another noxious torque from full via max potion and take out the car.
Now my goat has 4 move slot syndrome...but I doubt I'll use it considering it has bad accuracy, and kelpitcool,my skrelp I'll use later, will cover poison moves so maybe it would be a better user of this.
Since I'm not sure if even my mighty gogoat can fight great Tusk, I'm taking ryme on next.
(Fun fact: Every time I hear the beat drop for the 1st part of the gym leader team I keep thinking of her gestures).
Fun fact: my team took kn a level 55 tera fire revavroom. Defeating it was a team effort. (Well, except noizy who didn't do anything)
For my first double battle (I'm using fletchie and goated EQ combination).
It didn't take both mons out first try with talonflame aerial ace support though. Oof. Fletchie gets cursed by shuppet as it takes itself out, but luckily Greavard falls to 1 aerial ace soon after. (I wish I had scrappy now to quick attack pick of kos).
The second battle had 2 levitate mons so I used flare blitz on gogoats aerial ace on haunter, but haunter manages to hex flethice and misdreavus pain split goated. Seed Bomb and aerial ace on the opposite target takes them out soon enough.
I also got countered by mc sledge himself using drifblim, so I flare blitz the balloon (luckily no flaw boost) and seed bomb sablyee, but they simply set up stock pile and hit fletchie with power gem respectively.
Well at least I was able to take sablye out via eq (aerial ace sotakingmehow doesn't ko the balloon-it lived on 1hp to boot)... though the balloon did go bokm afterwards, fletchie down with it.
Now as for ryme herself...
Turn 1 I EQ while fletchie breaks mimikyus disguise with aerial ace. Banette sucker punches my goat but he survives. He also survives the oncoming slash from mimikyu, and eq does donkeys
Turn 2 goat bulks up while I flare blitz mimikyu, thwarting a sucker punch attempt from Nanette and destroying mimikyu
Turn 3 after attack boost, I flare blitz Houndstone (presuming it's fluffy), taking it down to Orange as EQ picks of both opponents.
As ryme teras toxtricity I double up with flare blitz and seed bomb.
Toxtricity gets decimated.
This unlocks kelpitcool the skrelp (who's level 48) for use.
I feel confident in gogoats level, so im gonna use him against great Tusk now.
Tusk rapid spins as gogoat bulks up. Tusk deletes my...wait what? I saw knock o- nvm I fire a seed bomb at it and bring it to orange. Rapid spin and seed bomb clash as great Tusk is forced to flee from a Gogoat of all things .
If I had a nickel for every time I used an early game originating Mon against tusk I'd have 2 nickels blah blah blah.
Anywho, I set up a bulk up while arvens scovillain gets hit by I think stomping tantrum but gets a scary face off.
Scovillain manages to get a razor leaf in before getting decjmated by rapid spin, which does nothing compared to my seed bomb.
In fact Gogoat simply beats another boss yet again. It's like the Azumarill of my mono water run all over again.
I always liked this Mon, now I think it's gonna go even higher on my favs list alongside vivillon and goomy (I hope it evolves soon)
Arven, didn't you say it would taste terrible? This isn't like salt where it's funny to view as an outsider and not-oh nvm.
I think here's a good place to end off. Ortega and tulip are next, as is maybe the last Kalos Mon I can use (aside from dedenne, idk how I missed that one).
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003828664
If you guys couldn't tell, I finally got that fixed Hawlucha spawn thanks to acquiring the high jumping ability. Just what I need to fight mela with.
I replace Flo as she's been the weakest link on my team at the moment. Now to train him.
Oh hey I got a Gogoat. I'm not sure how handy it will be against mela, but it should do something.
Anywho I'm taking on the guard, and decided to use goo against them because I really want to use her more. They use a houndour who attacks with a fire move that doesn't do much as goo water pulses it. She then thanks a bite before water pulse finishes houndour.
I star barrage with nala, fletchie and El haw. Rather ironically, Nala had to fight some litleos. Oh well.
I'm hoping I'm ready for mela, since the star barrage did a small number on Nala and El Haw. That can't be good.
Torkoal comes out as I send in fletchie.
Turns out I was thinking too much as acrobatics and flame wheel exchange blows. Flame wheels does nothing to fletchie, so that's neat. A second exchange yields similar results, and torkoal gets defeated by another acrobatics.
The car has speed boost as acrobatics does barely anything to it, so I swap into Nala to eat a blazing torque and get rid of fletchies screech nerf. Nala gets 1 noble roar that weakens it as she gets screeched.
Nala is able to nerf the car down to -6 in offenses. Not even screeches can make it take Nala out.
I decided to give my newly evolved Gogoat a run, and thanks to the noble roars it survives hit after hit, firing of EQs all the while, eventually destroying the car
Now he really is the Goat. I'll actually make that his nickname now, he's earned it.
Fletchie barely did anything though.
Fletchie also already knows this move. Oh well.
Onwards to cascarafa...which I went to in search of more Kalos mons earlier. Poor Hawlucha didn't get to do anything significant, maybe he can help defeat Larry.
Anywho goat defeats the gym trainers Floatzel in 1 hit. And the clauncher too.
Since the caves were nearby, I decided to pick up a noibat. Unlike bergmite and skrelp from last ep, I can actually use this one.
Honestly, I'm surprised that rumored horizons leak says he isn't gonna be involved in the next arc. Such a shame.
Scattor (who hasn't seen any action yet today) 2 shots veluza after tanking a bite. Scattor is then headbutted by Wugtrio as I accidentally trigger gooey via draining kiss. I attempt a struggle bug but get flinched, and scattor get taken out in 3 headbutts.
I swap in el haw but then remember gooey so I swap goo in, and she takes a headbutt.
Absorb goomy can't take Wugtrio out? What? Anywho goo also falls to headbutt.
I just decide to swap gogoat in and leech seed stall out the Wugtrio-no gooey. Another headbutt, and EQ takes out Wugtrio at last. What is this, a pimpnite video? Why is taking Wugtrio out so hard.
Did I need to tera to decimate crabominable with seed bomb. No. Is it cool to do so? Yes.
1 last Evo to close of the ep.
Tomorrow I'm sure nala will evolve.

Man i love Noibat, he's so cute.
So I was hatching eggs to get a shiny Lapras. Then I accidentally walked in the grass and encountered a wild shiny Noibat 😱
First, honorable mention to a shiny Cryogonal that escaped during a raid. Unfortunate, as I like its shiny.
Now, on to the spoils of the hunt!
Neither were conventional to hunt... I had to think a bit outside the box.
A pair I call, the Echo of the Sands.
Noibat's access to Supersonic and Absorb made this a bit difficuot initially. You'd be surprised of the course of a Days long encounter, how a -6 Accuracy foe, frequentoy lands attacks on a +6 Evasion mon. I had to stay in with a Garchomp, specifically made with Sunny Day abd False Swipe to lower the SoS caller's HP. Absorb is rather disruptive! Maje matters worse, confusion is dangerous... and a max ATK EV trained, Adamant Garchomp, takes some extreme confusion damage...
Nevertheless, after 4 days of mindless grind I can add this little gal to my collection.
[Note: I am not evolving her... I adore Noibat's shiny, but despise Noivern's]
Sandygast was obnoxious. Immune to False Swipe and Thunder Wave. Access to Mega Drain, and trapping moves boiled down to, moronic to even consider attempting.
It would be no exaggeration to consider this hunt, borderline impossible.
I disregarded all woes, and attempted to work the problem out. A challenge I attempted to decipher!
My goal was to find a False Swipe mon, who was either Flying or had Levitate, with Sunny Day access.
The stars had to align for this one.
But an old friend from gen 1, would be kickstart a would-be impossible hunt.
Scyther.
This old gen 1 mon had the qualities necessary to get through this. Paired with another unorthodox mon, Pelipper. It would break this problem wide open.
Soak converts the target into a pure Water type, meaning... Sandygast is now exposed to both Thunder Wave abd False Swipe!
After 3 days of mindless hammering away. I could add this excellent shiny to the family!
And, with a bit of transferring theyre now happily in Gen 8 with everyone else!
