Meltan

So they did release Shiny Keldeo for completing the Sword and Shield dex. And I expected them to give a Shiny Mew for Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee. But for some reason it's a freaking Shiny Meltan (not even Shiny Gigantamax Melmetal, just a Meltan that you can't evolve since it can't go into Pokémon GO). What a waste of a distribution imo. I mean it's fine for people who don't play Pokémon GO, but Mew would have been so much better. At least Keldeo isn't Shiny Locked anymore.

Like if you think about it, Gimmighoul did seem to be trying to be a new Meltan, first appearing mysteriously in Go before being officially being revealed later and whatnot.

However, while Meltan seemed pretty integrated into Go and Lets Go (I used a Go account to get a Melmetal to beat Lets Go initially with), Gimmighoul...doesn't seem to connect Go to SV as strongly. I wonder why

After Ash's Meltan evolved into Melmetal, not a single word has been said about Meltan.

I was literally thinking i wouldn't find anything but uhh the next encounter was a surprise i guess

Meltan looks like Ditto, and it has a gear on its head, which may have fallen onto it while they where escaping from Team Rocket's Lab.

It would make sense for them to want to get far away from Team Rocket after that, so they would travel to a distant Region. In fact, why not be impossible to obtain normally and only obtainable from Pokemon HOME and stuff? Great idea!

Plus if Ditto where to be strong and not just Transform then I would likely describe it as Melmetal.

Most people don't seem to believe this but good luck changing my mind.
