When I was younger, I used to think that Leech Life as a move meant that you were pestering your foe with leeches for life.
This changed once I understood the move animation. Perhaps I have been oblivious for so long because it is a bug-type move.

My ears were being attacked by the vicious winds of the storm. Water droplets pounded against my face. I could feel that I was no longer in contact with the ground I was so familiar with.
“Hold on!” I heard a familiar voice shout at me.
“I… I can’t!” I could feel my hand holding onto them. “I’m going to let go! The storm is too strong!” I forced myself to peek open my eyes. There was a flash of lightning, and in the brief moment I could see their eyes, full of worry. The wind whipped harder.
“No! Don’t let go!” The voice cried.
“I-” There was no moment more to speak, as the storm threw us apart, away from each other. I tried to keep myself away, but I could feel the energy being sapped from my body like a Zubat using Leech Life. I closed my eyes, and the sound of the wind and the lightning was no more.
