The people who say that jynx is a racist product this is actually projection to how they see a black face in media

Lets make an example that made a girl pink someone says that this is gender appropriation they are actually projecting because they’re complaining about a problems that they think is an actual occurrence. For you to complain about something as color proves that you have the image of that person in your head. After all you do it see any other color as problematic. And the only reason why this mentality of black is there is because of something that has changed our depiction of black, blackface.

Blackface caused people to have a mentality of blackface = bad but also caused people to think that “a black face = bad”. This causes a whole different type of stigmatization that is similar to racism but for different reasons. Ravi sum was done out ignorance or the fear of the unknown. This problem is due to past historical experiences along with ignorance.

Jynxs although to some of her inspiration is based on Japanese folklore. Her design is for manly the body based on Petra singers who share similar attire and similar builds to jynx. And the face and hair is based on the trend ganguro. Though it does translate to black face the purpose was similar to many other trends to rebel against society. Though it might be a black face it wansn’t blackface. Because blackface is done with the intent of mockery to Africans and the people of that decent.

In conclusion perception is everything. It can change somthing from being a neutral thing to a completely horrible thing.

Is it better or worse than Kantoian Jynx

If you know Pokémon like I do, you will be familiar with the Jynx controversy.

Unlike most other Pokémon, who are clearly more animalistic in nature and design, Jynx has a strangely humanoid appearance.

The character Jynx, Pokémon #124, has decidedly human features: jet-black skin, huge pink lips, gaping eyes, a straight blonde mane and a full figure, complete with wiggly hips. Put another way, Jynx resembles an overweight drag queen incarnation of Little Black Sambo, a racist stereotype from a children’s book long ago purged from libraries.

It appeared in holiday Hi-Jynx, too.

As a result, Jynx’s design (and Smoochum) was changed forever, becoming the purple skinned pokemon that freaks everyone out.
