I made like at least 120 fakemon for my dumb fakemon region based on the Northern US and Canada (+ misc North America things) and NONE OF THEM ARE DRAWN AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Anyways here's the grass-type starter
Cambrine (Grass - Bug)
The Kelp Shrimp Pokemon
Ability: Overgrow (HA: Sharpness)
Appearance: A brine shrimp-like organism with a somewhat humanoid front half
Pokedex Entry (Pokemon Above)
"Cambrine was thought to be long-extinct for many years, but relatively recently, living eggs were found inside ancient stones. The eggs hatched a few days after being removed from the stone with no issue."
Pokedex Entry (Pokemon Below)
"Although just a larva, it is a skilled hunter. It's large brain size compared to even the fully-grown creatures of its era allowed it to outsmart them in combat."
Konbudont (Grass - Bug)
The Kelp Shrimp Pokemon
Ability: Overgrow (HA: Sharpness)
Appearance: A merfolk-like creature with an anomalocais where the fish tail would normally be. It appears to be wearing some sort of robe made from kelp.
Pokedex Entry (Pokemon Above)
"Konbudont's leaf-covered body made it difficult to spot in the kelp forests that it hunted in millions of years ago. Such stealth is also useful in protecting its eggs."
Pokedex Entry (Pokemon Below)
"Its exoskeleton is composed of durable yet flexible leaf-like plates. Combined with its unique body plan, this gives it unusual flexibility in its entire body. Its hyper-efficient hunting depletes modern ecosystems at an alarming rate."
Anomerrow (Grass - Steel)
The Kelp Blade Pokemon
Ability: Overgrow (HA: Sharpness)
Appearance: A large anomalocaris mermaid with huge arms, seemingly wearing a furisode-style kimono made of kelp. It appears to have three horns on its forehead.
Pokedex Entry (Pokemon Above)
"It has a genius intellect, but it prioritizes hunting and combat above all else. It wraps its arms in kelp to conceal the shining blades that line it, and if a blade breaks, it will sulk in private until the blade and its pride both heal."
Pokedex Entry (Pokemon Below)
"Its kelp wrappings are meant to both hide the gleam of its blades from its prey and to keep them from being scuffed while it swims. Apparently, one survived while fully encased in stone for millions of years, and then slaughtered the entire scientific facility it was released in out of hunger."
Signature Move: Gleaming Metal
Power: 90
Accuracy: 100
"Releasing their blades, the user slashes at their target with a hunter's precision. This move has a higher chance to hit critically."
