After a bit of training I did off...umm...posting I stocked up on max potions and full restores and set out to challenge the e4.
I think I Mandela effected myself into thinking blueberry was the top one... jeez.
I'm honestly glad I ran out of SV save files, no more tera electric mismagius with levitate to haunt my nightmares.
Anywho now that that's out of the way it's e4 time.
I lead goated into Rika. I remembered her lead was something 4x weak to something...hmm...what was it...
Oh. Anywho I set up 1 bulk up...wait it had Blizzard? Luckily I didn't lead with noizy!
I think 2 bulk ups should be en- blizzard landed again???
I pop milk drink.... but it can't out heal blizzards damage. Horn leech takes goated back to almost full...leftovers helped to.
Anywho thanks to +2 gogoat faints camerupt to EQ.
I wish I had bullet seed to work around sturdy...and donphan uses it to hit me with poison jab. Man it's hard being a grass type sometimes. 2 horn leecjs still take it down though.
Couldn't outrun dugtrio, so the sands up. I don't have a rock/ground/steel type, so this could be a problem. Can +2 take out clod?
I could easily do this without tera, but it's clod, I need the boost, which was just enough to blow away clod.
And that's a gogoat sweep!
I may have fletchie and Nala who can melt steel types and goated has EQ, but I'm still a bit nervous considering, well, it's the steel type. The most tanky type of all.
At first glance I thought copperajah would eat flare blitz for breakfast. It got melted into scrap metal.
Anywho, nala has to take care of magnezone I'm case fletchie gets electrocuted.
Nala sends magnezone down to sturdy via flamethrower whole she barely tanks a discharge.
I just finish magnezone off with dark pulse.
Next up is brozong.
Nala unleashed a lorb powered dark pulse to send bronzong to orange before taking herself out. Fletchie is them able to finish off the bell with flare blitz.
This was an interesting exchange. Talonflame is taken down to low HP by flare blitz on corviknight (who lived on 1hp), but the ravens brave bird ended up taking both birds out.
Goated is my choice against Tinkaton
Yeowch! That hurt! And I got outsped too. I pop a max potion as it goes for stone miss, which lands.
I them counter gigaton hammer with milk drink, then bulk up during a non gigaton turn.
Ok, that's much better. EQ takes out Tinkaton. Phew.
Larry is a problem though, as I didn't pack any answers to flying types beyond my own fliers of fletchie and noizy. After a bit of deliberation I decide to lead with goo.
Well I did pack acid spray...and then it has sunny day...and dragon pulse. 2 acid sprays aren't enough. Luckily I could get a quick claw finisher.
Welp, time for sylph to debut ahead of schedule (I was saving him for hassel).
Ooh a special attacker? Calm mind time
Nope, not committing to set up.
Staraptor is next, so I stay in becuz of intimidate.
I get greedy and barely live a brave bird to get +2 in specials. I use a hyper potion as it goes for Close combat. For a resisted hit, that hurts. My greed led to sylph getting taken out.
Let's see who has the stronger recoil move. Answer: fletchie takes staraptor out with ease.
Next is oricorio, I assumed it was electric (it was) so Nala came in.
How did it survive flamethrower? Dark pulse still takes it out though.
Anywho I leave noizy to take out Flamigo.
Who's the better tera flying user? Noizy or Flamigo?
Air slash->orange HP on flamingo....
Fla-nvm it flinched.
A second one took it out.
Now for hasse-oh wait he has dragalge. Ok Sylveon maybe won't be a clean sweep.
I decide to troll a bit. I yawn Noivern, them set up a calm mind as it goes to sleep, which I use to set up 2 more calm minds. I then heal up Sylveon and it's sweeping time.
Oof. And the power of the moon compelled Noivern away as noizy gets inspired to learn boomburst.
While sludge bomb can easily end me, Dragalge is like a TR Mon, so surely+3 shadow ball can take it out right?
Oh no. (And sludge bomb poisons me)
Haxorus shreds sylph with iron head, ending my sweep. Noizy then comes in to fire a dragon pulse at haxorus, but it lives on red HP and dragon claw takes noizy out. Fletchie quick attack to the rescue.
Acrobatics ends Flapple easily, but baxcalibur...I guess nala via dark pulse? (Becuz I can't hit with fire and I think bax has insane physical bulk)
Luckily, I got a dark pulse flinch on 1 turn Glaive rush still ends nala though...who barely lives on 1hp. Nala then delivers a heroic sacrifice dark pulse for the ko.
Now for Geeta.
I lead with Nala becuz she has dark pulse.
Somehow espathra survived that and got a lumina crash off. Lucky I didn't attempt to set up work up. Nala then fries the ostrich for dinner.
Next is avalugg.
This is why I want AV avalugg. Nala melted it without breaking a sweat.
POV: you try to call out a sucker punch... kingambit used stone miss on me instead, so fletchies not usable here.
Come on...(Goo is destroyed by 2 kowtow cleaves). Goated barely even survives one after landing an eq. Another EQ is checkmate for it though.
Luckily, I can horn leech the oncoming Veluza to get hp back.
It lived on 1 HP after that?! How? (Have me more trouble than necessary...)
Noizy comes out to deal with gogoat (sorry, no mirror).
After using boomburst, I go for the accidental tera and use air slash to take Gogoat out. (It was an accident, I didn't mean to press R while selecting air slash, now noizys even more glimmora food).
I send goated in on glimmora, and click EQ. Can I beat this?
Goatee survives sludge wave with power of friendship, but EQ doesn't do much, so I pop a potion to stall 1 turn...and goated still falls anyway.
I misclick boomburst on noizy...tera blast buries him and my tera.
I get Sylph poisoned and he barely eats a sludge wave, and finally glimmora is down by a moon last.
(This is my worst performance against Geeta ever. I need to be more focused for future battles instead of typing this out... starting with nemona).
Oh no I kept Nala as a lead against her lycanroc...oh no.
I have to last minute swap gogoat in on am accelerock...
Neither of my fliers have boots, this is a problem. Lycanroc does go down, but now gogoat has to 1 mon army an entire team basically, trading a goodras ice beam with his eq. He then takes goodra out with EQ after eating a sludge bomb.
Perfect representation of goateds situation right now, though EQ does take pawmot down.
Dudunsparce coils after I out speed to get a horn leech off. Another horn leech sends it to red, and hyper drill hurts. 1 last horn leech finishes dudunsparce off.
I have to keep horn leeching orthworm becuz of earth eater, it doesn't even tickle it. Goated trades it with iron tail until a body press puts goated out of his misery.
Who to choose...who tom..hmm
I eventually decide to send goo into the rocks and her muddy water is able to take goated out. Luckily for me, goo has sap sipper, so flower trick should do nothing, removing meowscaradas stab option.
Should have went for acid spray. jeez what's with all my bad plays? Goo is eventually defeated by 1 play rough+shadow claw.
Sylph is next as he's the last least affected by rocks Mon I have. He gets ohkoed by flower trick, forcing me to accept the rocks chip damage I was so scared off and send fletchie in, who ends meowscarada with acrobatics.
With hindsight, I'd like to know how arven got nemona and penny on board... considering he hates the former and doesn't really interact with the latter. Now it's off to area 0.
(Note: as much as I'd like to even if theres a kalos paradox pokemon I can't use it).
I'm a slowpoke for not realizing this....
True...
Anywho Nala will take the first hurdle of the area zero walk-around.
I think she's more off a As One (Defiant+Reckless) type. Nala appears to be brave too, taking on many area zero mons without a break. Her lorb did wear her down though.
Florian/Juliana: am I a joke to you? (Like seriously the person playing as them may also have common sense too).
Oh no...
Dark pulse does nothing so nemona had to do the most work.
Goated will take the next phase.
Terapagos isn't a 6 letter word. (I also checked it's japanese name, only 5 chars( I wonder what it's beta English name is.
Scream Tail is the least threatening looking paradox imo. I use it to attempt to heal off Gogoat via it's massive HP. It's lowered to -4 attack by Umbreon as 3 horn leeches and umbreons dark pulse punt it back to the deep depths of area zero. Goo took over the next shift.
An actually scary looking paradox, probably only valiant and moon are scarier than it. Luckily I have Goo the special attacker since I remember it's special def is garbodor. Goo misses the 1st muddy water but another one washes great Tusk away.
Why
Weird phenomenon: tusk didn't knock off goos quick claw. ?
Since the last sections in a cave, noizy will handle it. (Also Arvens koraidon story is making me realize my Koraidon adventures are lucky as no npc realized it was koraidon)
The cave is filled with scream tails and rock types that want to eat noizy for breakfast. Why?
anywho, at the 0 lab...oh wait why am I bringing a dragon type again vgc tier...umm... ruler flutter mane. Noizy manages to dispose of great Tusk alongside nemona and Brute Bonnet alongside penny, but can we best flutter mane?
It's flutter mane, I'm not taking any chances. (Oddly it went for psyshock instead of moonblast).
Now, for the moment of truth. Can my rag tag team fo frenchmons beat the most powerful AI (lore wise) of all Pokemon?
First up, noisy vs slither wing. 1st,I get a boomburst+throat spray combo going and eat a lunge. Then air slash takes slither wing out.
Next up is scream tail, probably to play rough me.
Expecting it I tera noizy to flying.
(It went for ice punch after my boomburst. At leasty 4x weakness is gone).
I roost off the damage as it goes for a neutral ice punch. Another air slash finishes scream tail off.
I decide to take my chances with flutter mane,...and a t bolt ends noizy. I send sylph in, though it gets a shadow ball sp. Def drop as I attempt to set up calm minds. Eventually 2 moonblasts take it out.
For once, I have something for sandy shocks. Goated eats it's flash cannon and power gem and decimates it in 2 horn leeches.
I use Nala against brute Bonnet.
How'd it live? Anywho a disrespect dark pulse takes it down.
Now for roaring moon....which ends nala with EQ. I send in goated to bulk up in it's face, though a d claw does a lil too much damage.
Since Sylveon could resist it's stabs, I sacked goated to heal sylph up and take it on.
Oh it's left with stone miss. And it finally missed.
Oh wait it has EQ too z which sylph survives...but another one crits and wrecks sylph.
Goo gets evaporated by dragon claw, so it's down to fletchie....and I lose to a stone miss. A first for mez so where do I end up?
Oh.
Time for Round 2!
Time for a different strat. I turn one destroy slither wing with a crit air slash.
When scream tail swapped in I went into nala. Dark pulse does nothing as it goes drain pun...oh. I swap into fletchie to eat another drain punch...no burn though.
2 flare blitzed end scream tail.
Sylph takes flutter mane down after trading shadow balls with it.
Goated takes down sandy shocks with EQ and horn leech.
Nala nearly roasts brute Bonnet with flamethrower but sucker punch takes her down, sylph finished the Mushroom of.
Noizy
Noozy got 1 dragon pulse off on roaring moon before going down, and fletchy ends roaring moon.
And there's the end of the run (koraidon stuff not with standing (.
(Side note: I went overkill a bit with here, in hindsight I should have stopped after I beat nemona or Geeta. Sorry if you guys had to deal with a wall of text(.
Part 9:
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003831095
Before I took on eri, I decided to peek at my EVs.
Jeez what have I been fighting, all my mons have a lot of attack evs, even though noizy, Nala and goo have almost never used physical moves. Not like I'm gonna make a hassle out of it (+ev lowering berries are hard to find, so why botehred)
I wonder how many people saw this subplot.
Anywho it's ERI time. Luckily I have 2 fliers.
If only defeating eri out here= getting star badge...if only it were that easy.
Ofc this MU sucks, so I swap Noizy in...as it goes for nasty plot?! I didn't know Croagunk was a special attacker. Anywho air slash shreds the frog, and I send sylph back in on primeape.
He eats a Close Combat...and becuz of the sp def drop primeape is punted to the moon.
Interestingly enough, while sylph, fletchie and noizy did the star barrage, there were several Gallades. If team star were truly bad, why would they have Gallade? Also I think toxicroak line messed sylph up bad due to being half poison.
I attempt to put toxicroak to sleep but syph is poisoned by p jab and defeated by poison.
Hope this works. Toxicroak eventually sleeps, allowing me to take it out with 2 aerial aces.
In comes passimian, it tanks aerial ace well and take fletchie out with rock tomb.
Goated comes in eats a CC and sets up 1 bulk up. He barely survives to set up another as another CC is hurled in his direction. I use a hyper potion (should have max becuz it still hurts. +2 horn leech doesn't do heal a lot either.
I max potion on annhilape, Close combat does nothing. I'm scared of rage fist though. Another close combat is sent my way, as a leaf blade cuts annhilape up.
I max potion Gogoat as Lucario uses aura sphere.
Goated eats another one and OHKOS the Lucario.
I swap in noizy as the car I'm sure had stamina, so I can't hit it. He's paralyzed by the cars torque and para hacked when I attempt to set up my screech throat spray strat.
Noizy manages to take the car down to this level by living on 1 HP. I end up sacrificing him to bring Sylveon back. The car sets up a shift gears (like it did before, hence noizy on 1hp), giving sylph the opening he needed to destroy it with a moonblast.
I wish I could use this, but I don't want to sacrifice gogoats bulk. (Also while waiting for rain yesterday I got the focus miss TM LOL)...and no one can use it.
I need speed control now...so that's what fletchie does via tailwind as he gets yawned. I misclock on nala using flame thrower x2 and the falling asleep , I had to full restore it off (I do use dark pulse at the end to take it out however)
Fletchie comes back in for speed control on houndoom, dark pulse doesn't do too.much.
2 acrobatics takes it out.
Abomasnow has ice shard. Oh no. Nala should be able to handle it right? (The veil is up)
Despite the veil flamethrower does a lot to abomasnow, so much so that wood hammer recoil takes itself out.
Now the veil works. And I got a flinch! The next dark pulse didn't flinch however, but a shell smash went up. Oh no. (Nala is defeated by a sucker punch).
Goated get a bulk up on the teapot, then max potion after a shadow ball does a lot of damage . Evidently, he's not right Mon for the job, sylph takes it better...nvm he gets koed. I accidentally play around sucker punch with a bulk up, but goated also falls.
Fletchie lives on 1hp to flare blitz the teacup into oblivion.
I send goo against amoonguss...and somehow she's able to counter it's spores (she has sap sipper, not hydration), so it's forced to go for toxic...which goo destroys with power of friendship.
Seriously??? (And I misclick a bulk up 1hp live from a revived goated). I max potion him as he tanks an aerial ace.
Yes, I took it out! That was too close, I'm definitely going to need more exp to fight the eeveelutions team.
Curiosity I found while trying to train with the dragon tamers at the lake, they all had held items, and all 3 dragons Kalos dragons nonetheless.
Should have waited...oh well.
Goo finally evolved...right when I was feeling gloomy about grinding. Thanks a lot game. Now I feel confident enough to take penny on.
I lead noisy into Umbreon, then swap to goo becuz it's Umbreon, I need to lower it's bulk, via acid spray.
Goo suddenly got main char plot armor and tanked all of umbreons hits. Heck, she was able to defeat Umbreon with only acid spray.
For some reason I send Nala into Vaporeon instead of goated, so I attempt to correct that mistake...and goated got hit by baby doll eyes.
Vaporeon I'm sure is passive so j could set up on it. 1 bulk up. Aurora Beam does nothing.
2 Bulk Ups. Back to normal attack. Still tanking aurorar beam.
I'm not going for 3, I just horn leech, and Vaporeon is down.
Next up is Flareon, so goo returns to the battlefield. 1 quick claw muddy water send Flareon to orange, and goo barely survives a flare blitz. I pop a max potion to stop goo from getting defeated and goo eats a quick attack. I click acid spray on accident as goo eats it...and the recoil takes Flareon out.
Somehow leafeon survived fletchies flare blitz, and fletchie got a disrespect flame body burn on it before it's downed by a returning no item acrobatics.
I think I can set up on Jolteon...until a thunder para hax'd me, forcing me to full restore. Baby doll eyes is walling me hard, so I swap into Nala for real, and she gets paralyzed too from thunder.
Nala manages to survive on 1hp against another thunder and get a lorb powered hyper voice off before lorb takes her out.
I swap goated in, then sylph in case it went for baby doll eyes, but sylph just gets strick by thunder. Sylph then gets a calm mind off as Jolteon tries to baby doll eyes him. Twice. Finally Jolteon misses thunder as a +2 shadow ball takes it out.
Now,for a Sylveon Ditto match.
We both send each other to orange with moonblast but Penny's Sylveon is faster.
I beat penny with her own ace LOL. Thanks for letting me get +2 special stats!
Hmm...white herb Noivern that can drop a draco? Nvm.
Anywho , elite 4 time next. Whether I can Speedrun to area 0 is a different story...
Part 8:
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003830797
Part changes: Scattor is sent to the box (permanently) in place of sylph, who I change the nature to modest as he came with careful.
I also use the non titan tatsus to exp grind goo, who has the lucky egg.
Becuz of no rain I temporarily send goo to the box and train noizy instead,he evolves after defeating a slaking. Unfortunately he didn't come with boomburst, which I wanted to use with throat spray. That said he's gotten exponentially stronger.
I also evolve berg into avalugg, who may come in handy later.
Found a stake.
Also I tried stalling for rain for about an hour and avoiding battling with goo in hand before I finally snapped and got rid of my free shot at instant goodra by having noizy defeat a skrelp. Now I can actually fight dozo now.
Those jaws could eat anything... anywho I didn't want to use noizy for this, so I swap goated in on a water pulse, then set up a bulk up (eat a body slam but get para hax'd),break through para hax to take it to orange with horn leech while eating a water pulse, fall to para hax (then destroy it with power of friendship), finishing dozo off.
Phase 2, I start with an immediate bulk up as Greedent gets a tail whip off and eats a water pulse. I horn leech dozo, taking it to orange, Greedent takes down dozo but eat and order up and recoil in the process. 1 more horn leech takes dozo out.
Now it's sylphs turn to shine against tatsu, I swap him in as gogoats grass moves are resisted, and Greedent eats a dragon pulse while using take down on tatsu.
Greedent is taken out by muddy water, Sylph gets off a moonblast that sends tatsu to orange. 2 more take it out (as it misses muddy water and lands icy wind)
Well, I think I'm not gonna do any more party swaps after this, it may be a bit risky to do so and have to train up weaker mons. I'm willing to beat AI SADA with a sliggoo if I can't get a goodra.
Anywho, I think I should be able to handle the arven fight with a bit of luck. I have mons who can take out some of his in theory.
Also I decided it's time for an outfit change, I keep wanting to for so long, and I decided to. Plus it's prob better protection in area zero.
I set up calm mind with sylph against Greedent, tanking a body slam, then unleash a +1 moonblast and barely survive another hit. (And ofc it stared to rain. Seriously??) I max potion and eat psychic fangs, then take Greedent out with another moonblast.
Next is toedscool, so in comes talonflame z who's aerial ace does over half as sludge bomb takes me to orange.
It lived on 1 HP and spored me, forcing me to full restore and get poisoned afterwards. 1 quick attack takes toedscruel out. (Also the rains gone).
Goo takes garg on...and doesn't do a lot as rocks come in (rip fletchie and noizy). Water pulse again, goo barely survives a stone miss. Stone miss takes goo out.
Time for Gogoat to clutch.
Seed bomb deletes garg, and is itself deleted for leaf blade. Can it take cloyster...wait scovillain? Huh.
I set up a bulk up as fire blast misses. This I'll be useful against cloyster. Fire Miss connects this time however, and Gogoat is downed.
Scovillain somehow fire blasts me, apparently it's got nothing to hit me with.
I swap Nala into cloyster, and somehow decimates cloister with hyper voice (no crit to boot).
Last but not least is mabostuff so I swap Sylveon in. I max potion (3/5 items used)
Moonblast manages to take manostiff to red HP after sylph eats a play rough, so I used max potion to be able to finish the job Alive.
Technically I was under levelled but managed to put up a good fight.
Next time, Eris going down.
Part 7:
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003830487
Party change: Scattor in place of kelpitcool...Noizy in place of Flo.
This is likely the last Mon I catch and add to rotation. Not this time tho.
Anywho nemona battle time...and I lead with noizy who I really want to evolve..oh no. Luckily I have gogoat. Lycanroc gets accelrock off and a rock slide before going down.
Not really who I had in mind...
I swap noibat in, then Gogoat who eats a d pulse from sliggoo. I set up a bulk up, then EQ sliggoo to take it out.
Pawmot t waves Gogoat, horn leech takes it down to red. Desperation wild charge fails to take Gogoat out, and noizy comes back in after gogoat seed bombs pawmot.
Of course noisy doesn't take it out, and he's decimated by flower tricks crit boost, leaving flethchie to finish up. Jeez, can't I switch up what mons I use from time to time?
I do the challenge with Goo.. somehow the angry button makes her sad. Poor goo. Anywho she managed to decimate the 1st trainers Gothorita in 2 d pulses. The Kirlia goes down to 2 water pulses.
The second trainer I use acid spray twice while tanking psyshocls, and a dragon pulse defeats the pig.
Goo was on low HP so I swap in flethchy to deal with medicham, who survives an aerial ace and jump kicks my falcon. Luckily fletchy still has quick attack up his feathers.
For indeedee I swap in Noizy. While it sets up a calm mind, I go for super fang, becuz indeedee I'm sure has a heck ton of HP so this is necessary. Noizy gets rekt by a +1 psychic, but his super fang allowed nala to take indeedee out with a dark pulse, learnt via TM I found while training.
Speaking of Nala, I lead her into the alfornada gym....and it's raining come on. (Then again goo is a slow grower so not like I can evolve it...may actually have to run eviolite sliggoo...)
Farigiraf was downed in 2 dark pulses, tho it got a zen headbutt in, and I swap in goo after gardy wrecks nala...only for a quick claw water pulse to not take it out becuz rain went bye bye
Goo gets defeated by 2 d gleams, so
Fletchie quick attack to the rescue yet again.
Espathra is burned by flare blitz (what r the odds?) and a psychic does a bit of damage.
Tera Aerial Ace doesn't take it out...but burn does.
Fletchie is too weak to face florges, so it's up to goated to save the day yet again. I set up bulk up as florges teras to psychic, and tank a moonblast (which drops my sp attack...not like I'm using it anyway.) EQ doesn't take florges out as I eat another moonblast, so I swap to stab seed bomb, and florges is down.
Snow slope run I got a new low score becuz I missed quite a few banners. Anywho it's nala vs grusha (becuz flare blitz can't do anything in snow)
I use frosmoth as set up to get +4 in special attack via work up, and stall out the tail wind (it's blizzard keeps missing). Nala then proceeds to melt grushas entire team. Yep, even cetitan.
Now with all my mons available to use, I'm ready to fast track to area zero in the next few eps.
Here's my team set up for today. Noizy will be back eventually I promise,I just want to use as many Kalos mons as possible considering gen 10 may prevent me from using them ever again.
Skrelp (if it evolves while I'm fighting Ortega it's gonna be so unfortunate) has poison point and toxic, so pretty much I can use it to cripple any non steel types.
I don't know why Harrington's morgrem tried to set up to +4 nasty plot, anywho venoshock takes it out.
Flo is here becuz I didn't want kelpitcool to get taken out by Psychic, ironic as flare blitz recoil and psychic took fletchie out after draining kiss did donkeys to hattrerm. Goated was able to finish the job however.
(Also apparently I'm a bit under leveled for this. Ooh boy).
Goated, Fletchie and Kelpitcool are running the barrage this round. Only goated took significant damage.
Anywho, I got 5 item uses, let's see what I can do.
Kelpitcool toxics Azumarill who goes for bounce. He then eats the bounce and does significant damage with venoshock. Azumarill then charms my sea dragon before going down to venoshocl number 2.
Wigglytuff almost takes out my kelp with body slam as it sets up toxic, so I full restore it. Kelp then eats a play rough. Body slam number 2, and venoshock deals a heavy amount of damage to wigglytuff and toxic takes it out.
My kelp gets eaten by dachsbun for breakfast, and send in Gogoat to set up bulk up...and gets baby doll eyes. He survives a play rough due to bulk up but I need those defense boosts. Play rough crits my goat as I attempt a triple bulk up. I full restore my goat as it eats another play rough.
Dachsbun keeps using play rough on me and does nothing as 2 seed bombs take it out. I hope I can survive the car noe.
I eat the steel roller and do pretty decent damage with seed bomb, and 4th item is gone as confuse ray is set up, and confuse ray eats my final full heal and magical torque confuses goat again despite me surviving it.
Gogoat 1st turn hits self in confusion. Then he snaps out of it yo land a tera seed bomb to send the car to orange.
Confuse Ray again. EQ lands
Goat eats another magical torque, and tera seed bomb destroys the car. While under levelled!
Man, Gogoat is mad powerful!
Welp, there goes Flos Big Root. Specs unfortunately doesn't work with the set I'm running, so wise glasses it is.
Or I just remove magical leaf since I have t blast grass.
(In the end grassy terrain git axed-It was flo's idea!)
Sylph may prove to be tough competition for flo as a fellow fairy.
Anywho, time for my least favorite part of SV: the trip to alfornada.
At long last...now I have to use it in just about every battle until she evolves.
Ooh kelpitcool evolved too.
Welp that took way too long. Tulip tomorrow.
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003828988
Just for funsies I decided to see if berg really won't listen to me. He did this. Urgh.
Anywho because I really want to try and use some other mons and not settle into a team I swap noizy and flo in place of scattor and El haw.
Yay. (She also eventually learnt flamethrower after a bit of grinding with the rest-about time, as she had ember as her stab option all this while).
Onto Larry's "gym trainers": the one near the food stalls wrecks noizy (everything seems to wreck him-I didn't know noibat was that fragile, must explain why ashs Noivern has so many Ls) with her Gumshoos take down, and flo barely survives one to magical leaf ko it.
Nala dodged a counter coming into the Greedent by doing that, and cooks Greedent with flamethrower (man it's nice to have flamethrower).
For the next one no more playing games, especially since dunsparce is involved, so noizy (who I was switch training) is switched out into goated, who tanks a hyper drill.
I attempt to set up on dunsparce but get yawned, so goated has to be swapped out, going into talonflame, who tanks a hyper drill and actucates flame body.
Despite having the level advantage, flaw blitz doesn't take out dunsparce and fletchie uses power of friendship to live on 1hp, finishing off the dunsparce with a quick attack.
With fletchie crippled and lack of healing items,I'm only left with Nala and Gogoat.
Noizy goes into Nala who tanks a play rough. Nala then singes ursaring with flamethrower as it sweet scents her. Luckily she's able to finish off the bear with a base power echoed voice.
The gym puzzle is my 3rd/4th attempt and j easily beat it...but first I'm grabbing some healing items and healing up.
Let's do this.
1st battle is komala vs talonflame.
Somehow flare blizt doesn't defear komala, neither did it's slam on me. It yawned fletchie after a quick attack fails to beat it so Nala comes in to another slam.
I'm gonna try to set up LORB boosted echoed voices, since komala here's on low HP the weakest one take it's out.
Goo hasn't evolved and already knows dragon pulse. How.
Anywho dudunsparce tanks my echoed voice and glares me, the next one takes it out, but staraptor could be the end of me...due to LORB... hopefully iechoed voice is powerful enough to take it out at this stage-
I got outsped...and a paralyze Nala goes down to tera facade .
Goated barely sets up a bulk up as aerial ace does severe damage to him. He eats a max Potion (when does he get milk drink) and tanks the next one.
A second aerial ace sends him back into orange as EQ doesn't take staraptor out.
Goated then falls to the next aerial ace.
Luckily, fletchies able to finish the job with a flare blitz. Phew. How has battling these been tougher than usual? I really need to focus on the gameplay and not writing this lol.
Now for nemona battle number...I think 3?
Lycanroc is first, and I lead with fletchie
Lycanroc got played like a fiddle as goated comes in and sets up 1 bulk up. And another one just in case. 1 EQ takes lycanroc down (why it kept accelerocking though?)
I was so tempted to have a goomy mirror match but decided not to and take it out with EQ. Pawmo also falls to EQ.
In comes meowscarada. Nemona teras before me, so does tera speed have anything to do with pokemon speed?
Slash doesn't crit (good),but aerial ace barely takes it to orange. A second such exchange happens, but aerial ace is able to take it out. Once again Gogoat supremacy moment. (I wasn't even going for a Gogoat sweep).
Anywho, now it's time for Atticus.
Unfortunately I don't have anything mich to hit poisons types beyond goateds eq. I'm gonna try anyway.
Goo fires off a dragon pulse to take out gulpin (though gulpin snuck in 1 stockpile). (1st one was also quick claw)
Shroodle outsped it and poison jabbed gpo, as fire off a dragon pulse, though flatter stops goo from sweeping and takes her out with a poison jab. Dang, so close. Fletchie can finish this off in a jiffy with a quick attack though.
That said goo does partake in the star barrage after a quick revive alongside fletchie and Nala. She's not terribly good at it but at least it's something considering Goomy is..well, "the weakest dragon type". I do have antidotes galore (I use potions more than status curing items) so this should be fine.
Fletchie plays the sucker punches like a fiddle and eats a toxic as he gets to +6 speed. He can't take out skuntank with aerial aces and gets demolished.
Flo is sent in and I tera her, intending on using grassy terrain and flower veil to block poison attempts and slowly chip away at it. She then gets flinched while trying to use draining kiss by sucker punch before passing a wish to herself and eventually defeating the skunk.
Goated comes in to set up one bulk up on Muk... except it's a special set. EQ takes out the living pile of sludge.
In comes base revavroom, EQ wipes it as well.
The super revavroom damages goated a lot with noxious torque as EQ sends it to half. Goated barely lives another noxious torque and gets a second bulk up.
Apparently that's enough to allow me to survive another noxious torque from full via max potion and take out the car.
Now my goat has 4 move slot syndrome...but I doubt I'll use it considering it has bad accuracy, and kelpitcool,my skrelp I'll use later, will cover poison moves so maybe it would be a better user of this.
Since I'm not sure if even my mighty gogoat can fight great Tusk, I'm taking ryme on next.
(Fun fact: Every time I hear the beat drop for the 1st part of the gym leader team I keep thinking of her gestures).
Fun fact: my team took kn a level 55 tera fire revavroom. Defeating it was a team effort. (Well, except noizy who didn't do anything)
For my first double battle (I'm using fletchie and goated EQ combination).
It didn't take both mons out first try with talonflame aerial ace support though. Oof. Fletchie gets cursed by shuppet as it takes itself out, but luckily Greavard falls to 1 aerial ace soon after. (I wish I had scrappy now to quick attack pick of kos).
The second battle had 2 levitate mons so I used flare blitz on gogoats aerial ace on haunter, but haunter manages to hex flethice and misdreavus pain split goated. Seed Bomb and aerial ace on the opposite target takes them out soon enough.
I also got countered by mc sledge himself using drifblim, so I flare blitz the balloon (luckily no flaw boost) and seed bomb sablyee, but they simply set up stock pile and hit fletchie with power gem respectively.
Well at least I was able to take sablye out via eq (aerial ace sotakingmehow doesn't ko the balloon-it lived on 1hp to boot)... though the balloon did go bokm afterwards, fletchie down with it.
Now as for ryme herself...
Turn 1 I EQ while fletchie breaks mimikyus disguise with aerial ace. Banette sucker punches my goat but he survives. He also survives the oncoming slash from mimikyu, and eq does donkeys
Turn 2 goat bulks up while I flare blitz mimikyu, thwarting a sucker punch attempt from Nanette and destroying mimikyu
Turn 3 after attack boost, I flare blitz Houndstone (presuming it's fluffy), taking it down to Orange as EQ picks of both opponents.
As ryme teras toxtricity I double up with flare blitz and seed bomb.
Toxtricity gets decimated.
This unlocks kelpitcool the skrelp (who's level 48) for use.
I feel confident in gogoats level, so im gonna use him against great Tusk now.
Tusk rapid spins as gogoat bulks up. Tusk deletes my...wait what? I saw knock o- nvm I fire a seed bomb at it and bring it to orange. Rapid spin and seed bomb clash as great Tusk is forced to flee from a Gogoat of all things .
If I had a nickel for every time I used an early game originating Mon against tusk I'd have 2 nickels blah blah blah.
Anywho, I set up a bulk up while arvens scovillain gets hit by I think stomping tantrum but gets a scary face off.
Scovillain manages to get a razor leaf in before getting decjmated by rapid spin, which does nothing compared to my seed bomb.
In fact Gogoat simply beats another boss yet again. It's like the Azumarill of my mono water run all over again.
I always liked this Mon, now I think it's gonna go even higher on my favs list alongside vivillon and goomy (I hope it evolves soon)
Arven, didn't you say it would taste terrible? This isn't like salt where it's funny to view as an outsider and not-oh nvm.
I think here's a good place to end off. Ortega and tulip are next, as is maybe the last Kalos Mon I can use (aside from dedenne, idk how I missed that one).

If you guys couldn't tell, I finally got that fixed Hawlucha spawn thanks to acquiring the high jumping ability. Just what I need to fight mela with.
I replace Flo as she's been the weakest link on my team at the moment. Now to train him.
Oh hey I got a Gogoat. I'm not sure how handy it will be against mela, but it should do something.
Anywho I'm taking on the guard, and decided to use goo against them because I really want to use her more. They use a houndour who attacks with a fire move that doesn't do much as goo water pulses it. She then thanks a bite before water pulse finishes houndour.
I star barrage with nala, fletchie and El haw. Rather ironically, Nala had to fight some litleos. Oh well.
I'm hoping I'm ready for mela, since the star barrage did a small number on Nala and El Haw. That can't be good.
Torkoal comes out as I send in fletchie.
Turns out I was thinking too much as acrobatics and flame wheel exchange blows. Flame wheels does nothing to fletchie, so that's neat. A second exchange yields similar results, and torkoal gets defeated by another acrobatics.
The car has speed boost as acrobatics does barely anything to it, so I swap into Nala to eat a blazing torque and get rid of fletchies screech nerf. Nala gets 1 noble roar that weakens it as she gets screeched.
Nala is able to nerf the car down to -6 in offenses. Not even screeches can make it take Nala out.
I decided to give my newly evolved Gogoat a run, and thanks to the noble roars it survives hit after hit, firing of EQs all the while, eventually destroying the car
Now he really is the Goat. I'll actually make that his nickname now, he's earned it.
Fletchie barely did anything though.
Fletchie also already knows this move. Oh well.
Onwards to cascarafa...which I went to in search of more Kalos mons earlier. Poor Hawlucha didn't get to do anything significant, maybe he can help defeat Larry.
Anywho goat defeats the gym trainers Floatzel in 1 hit. And the clauncher too.
Since the caves were nearby, I decided to pick up a noibat. Unlike bergmite and skrelp from last ep, I can actually use this one.
Honestly, I'm surprised that rumored horizons leak says he isn't gonna be involved in the next arc. Such a shame.
Scattor (who hasn't seen any action yet today) 2 shots veluza after tanking a bite. Scattor is then headbutted by Wugtrio as I accidentally trigger gooey via draining kiss. I attempt a struggle bug but get flinched, and scattor get taken out in 3 headbutts.
I swap in el haw but then remember gooey so I swap goo in, and she takes a headbutt.
Absorb goomy can't take Wugtrio out? What? Anywho goo also falls to headbutt.
I just decide to swap gogoat in and leech seed stall out the Wugtrio-no gooey. Another headbutt, and EQ takes out Wugtrio at last. What is this, a pimpnite video? Why is taking Wugtrio out so hard.
Did I need to tera to decimate crabominable with seed bomb. No. Is it cool to do so? Yes.
1 last Evo to close of the ep.
Tomorrow I'm sure nala will evolve.
