(so this was the first message in a MW RP I'm doing on another wiki, so there won't be a continuation getting posted since I won't exactly have the right to post the next messages. But I'm really proud of this so here ya go!!!! Background info:
Main character is Calpurnia/Cal
She was training to be a cop while simultaneously attending Uva academy, and just finished her last class.
She's based off of me, essentially. When she mentions her mom, she's a really religious woman to the point of treating her daughter badly. I basically just went CTRL + C CTRL + V from my real life to this and then replaced God with Arceus. Cal treats the really powerful legendaries as being just Pokemon as opposed to gods.
This is an altered version of the canon that I don't have time to fully explain.
Cal's Eevee is from Let's Go Eevee. Cal was once the protagonist of Let's Go
Anyways if you have questions lmk.)
Calpurnia wasn't going to let ANYTHING go wrong. She had finally completed her police training after four years of attending two schools at once, barely having time to annoy her friends. (a fundamental aspect of being Calpurnia)
Cal sat on a bench in a secluded corner of Uva academy, eyes scanning the same page of a novel fifty times over. She just had to wait for the call about graduatiom and sound very calm. Very very calm. Not at all exploding from excitement.
She glanced at Coffee, her Eevee, who was busy attacking Cal's shoelaces with a primal fury barely comprehensible to mankind. Adorable. As she gave up on ever finishing the book (it was about an evil 13 year old boy; she'd met enough of those in real life to know that the protagonist was utterly insufferable.) and rifled through her bag, looking for her textbook on hisuian history. She knew there was some sort of weird cult-y mention of Arceus in the graduation ceremony, and she liked learning about religion so that she could better hate it.
She had found the volume in a nook of the library that had fallen into complete disrepair. It was under a collapsed shelf, and didn't have a sticker to scan, so she kinda just took it. The spookiness definitely fit her view of Hisui. Why would it take so long for humanity to tame the creatures that inhabited their chaos-filled world? They must've lived in complete fear. And if you got her started on how they ever managed to record a rudimentary pokedex, you'd be here all day. She loved history, but the worship of random legendaries was a bit too close to home.
Calpurnia lifted the cover of the book. noticing odd characters on the first page. They mostly resembled unown, but one looked almost like-
As the ink began to glow, she sensibly tossed it across the hall, hand drifting to the PokeBalls containing her team in the bag next to her.. If she knew anything about this universe, an unskippable cutscene was about to happen, likely followed by a battle that her team of fluffy pets was NOT ready for. Coffee's fur began to bristle, and a cold wind whooshed through the area.
Calpurnia frantically looked around for someone to notice what the hell was happening. Wasn't there supposed to be a hall monitor? That annoying green-haired girl who would hand out demerits for saying "What the distortion world" but then battle someone to the point of half-killing their team in a matter of seconds, wasn't she the school president?
But before she could even take a step towards finding help, the world went black.
---
Calpurnia found herself floating in an odd black void. There was a blindingly bright golden light ahead.
"Welcome to my realm, located beyond both time and space."
"Um...hi?"
"It is well that thou art here."
"Is it? I was wondering, myself, but now that you've told me I am completely fine with being kidnapped into the void."
"I am that which humans call Arceus"
"Um. Uh- What? You're- Huh?"
"Now, I wish to know thine appearance."
"Wait, can you not see me? Is this another character selection screen? Ugh, I'll have to buy a whole new bottle of hair dye when I get home. if I get home- Um. I'm a blonde white girl with...which eye color to pick this time around? I can't have heterochromia in a Pokemon game so I guess that's cured. Blue."
*text input screen noises*
"I'm Calpurnia."
"Soon thou shalt find thyself in a world strange to thee."
"Stranger than this? Am I going to hell? Should've listened when my mom told me to obey her every whim and to also not be bi. Well, fire and brimstone it is."
"A world inhabited by wondrous creatures that humans call "Pokemon"."
"Wait, will I still have my team? If you take Coffee I will hurt you. I know I'm getting isekai'd or something but can I please please please not lose them or can you at least put them somewhere safe?"
"I see that your bond with this Eevee is true. Your Pokemon will be waiting for you. The Eevee may accompany you, however with a fraction of its power."
"So NOW you decide to reply."
"Calpurnia..."
"That's my name. Most people can't pronounce it. I'm surprised that you, literal GOD can, but everyone has one talent."
"Seek out all Pokemon, and thou shalt find me once more."
"Will I be allowed to get Sylveon, Drifloon, or Cubone? My mother says that they're Giratinic and against you but do I have an exception this time around? Because I feel like if god tells me to get all Pokemon it outweighs some random middle aged lady"
"Do not be sardonic. Your mother is not true."
"Yeah. Um. Sorry. Coping mechanism, y'know?"
Cal looked at the items she still had. Literally just the clothes on her back, and...wait, was that glowing thing over there her phone? The pink case had gone missing, but she recognized the model. Or she did, until it began to emanate a glaring light and float towards her. It seemed to take on characteristics of Llama God himself.
She looked up at the Creation Pokemon, confusion disappating her mask of disdain. She wondered if she would ever go home again. She wondered where she was going. She wondered if her friends would miss her. And she wondered where Coffee was.
But a few seconds later there wasn't any time for wondering.
Because that's when she started falling.
