Fun fact: I was going to request for more mons because galarian Mr mime is so far away, but decided against it so early. Pls suggest some later though, I'm not sure how long I can go with 3 mons.
Anywho, I decided to evolve Vermilla. Why?
Yeah...no.
She's probably going to be useless until like raihan (becuz aromatic mist and decorate and overall more support oriented moveset, and I sure don't know how to use singles support mons beyond hazard setting and rapid spin ) but still can be usable. And yes, I went back to motostoke for this. Before fighting Milo I had Vermilla train a bit, and used a tri attack TR on her so she's not entirely passive.
Yeah... apparently. That said after that Vermilla and I took a quick trip to a nearby camp to try some curry out and rest up before the gym... though let's be honest MegaAlph really wanted to fight Milo so
...
(1 session of wooloo wrangling later... during which MegaAlph picked a few fights with the gym trainers)
Fun fact: Wolfey says the forgot to nerf max airstream the same way max knuckle and max ooze were: BP was a bit lower. Surprisingly Eldegoss doesn't get one shotted by it, which may have irritated a bit, but he still blew everything away.MegaAlph
I'm a bit worried for nessa now however. None of my mons can really smack her water type for Super effective.
Considering Kabu likes to use will o wisp, I hope this can get rid of burns when Vermilla is doing the fighting and the other 2 are in reserve. She's become rather tired by the time w got to the team yell Grunts though, so I let her take a break.
Yeah...sure...*insert translucent eternamax eternatus png here*
At the gym, MegaAlph fought all the gym trainers, so I decided to let his teammates take on Nessa instead of him. Plus drednaw may or may not have a rock move that can ground him.
With the help of a sitrus Berry, Vermilla handles the 2 weaker mons, so I let Bl0XY handle drednaw.
On the first turn, Bl0XY trades max geyser with drednaws max quake, then both sides traded max darkness.
Unfortunately I mega misplay and went for the weaker sucker punch as opposed to a special move, combined with max strikes speed drop (and maybe swift swim), both Bl0XY and MegaAlph to unwillingly go down. That said, the damage dealt allowed Vermilla to revenge ko drednaw. (Speaking of Vermilla...I think I may have another idea on how to deal with Kabus will o wisp)
The 2 are itching for payback, and Bede gets the full brunt of it... mainly Bl0XY though as MegaAlph was weakened from fighting just solosis.
*Looks at moveset* Uhh...yeah. sure
Vermilla must have been extra careful with tri attack this time, she finally got a status condition from it. (She later helped defeat marnies morpeko, due to its electric typing causing problems for the other 2 mons).
Kabus gym put a toll on me as I forgot to refuel on healing items, and Bl0XY is extremely weakend. That have me an idea...
Of course MegaAlph gets burned trying to retaliate ninetales, but gets retaliate off.
I dynamax to circumvent the burn, as well as a subsequent Arcanine intimidate (the latter if which doesn't end well for me). Vermilla manages to hang on against Arcanine long enough for a clutch revive that allowed a full power retaliate to finish Arcanine off...
Centiskorch proved difficult, but 2 plucks from MegaAlph before he went down and a sacrifice from centibite (the sizzlipede I caught in Kabus gym) allowed a restored Bl0XY to defeat it. That was close.
Yeah, I know we will.
Oh before I go, here's information on centibite. Yeah...any suggestions on new mons I can use for now would be appreciated.

)
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003880954
From the post above, looks like my team will have to be Sobble ( @/BL0XYST1NG3R ) Rookidee, Mime Jr, ( using both of @/MegaAmphaRime s picks) Sizzlipede ( @/SHARKB!TE ) and Milcery ( @/Anthony Vermeer ) . I guess the team rotation will come later, but looks like I have to deal with a team of 5 at the moment. (Dreepy will be saved for later if I get T storm in wild area and have aqua bike)
Also after the trouble that team recommendations post got me, I think I'll limit mons I have to hunt/catch/use to anything I can reasonably obtain nearby at the moment at the end of the episode, so hopefully no more super rare encounters that make my head hurt.
In addition , I think I'm now going to be open to nickname suggestions because I don't think the above 5 will be the only mons I'll use here, so just usernames may not be enough.
Speaking of usernames, the usermame here is a pun on poli(wag) (a)n(d) fandom.
*Gulp* (This may take a while, but I think it's still doable)
Here's sobbles characterization in game. (I'll also start posting this for ppl to spin their own Headcanons). Apparently he's hasty and fussy, maybe the type who doesn't like facing down weaker opponents. He does easily beat the 1st Hop battle with extreme ease.
So I think Bl0XY probably picked a fight with the static encounters and won, before illusory Zacian humbled him.
MegaAlph the Rookidee was one of these, and attacked us again on Route, and was quickly caught in a PokeBall.
He's brave but quick to anger. Maybe that's why he got caught easily, he likely wanted to follow Bl0XY. That said , they did both easily got bored of route 1 mons...
Bl0XY has a low opinion of Hop, so MegaAlph has to solo hop battle number 2.
MegaAlph easily defeats Hop too, but he was more interested in the hone claws and power trip combination, which he fully masters here.
(I wish, hop, I wish...)
I went to hunt mime jr using time travel and failed to find it for some reason, so hopefully I don't have to deal with any more mons that involve me doing that anymore. I'll just catch galarian Mr mime and evolve it onto Mr rime later...and maybe also sizzlipede would have to wait until the Kabu gym test. (I don't want to do that all again) Thank goodness for the Rookidee mention!
So I just went straight to motostoke, though I did beat 2 max raids first...so I guess that means no max raids until Nessa for me as punishment. (Since I expended one slot badgeless and probably have to give up my Grass badge slot too)
I chose the number 387 as a homage to the above ID of the post where I first put down the idea of this playthrough.
MegaAlph picks a fight with the Team Yell Grunts, defeating 2 on his own and another 2 with hops assistance.
For hop battle 3, MegaAlph struggles with wooloo until he goes for hone claws, though since he's weakened Bl0XY finishes off the other 2. Bl0XY manages to confused both with water pulse, but seems to have gained some respect towards them after being humiliated by some stronger wild mons in the wild area.
MegaAlph really wanted to get stronger, so he fought a lot of battles on route 3 until he was forced to take a break due to running out of PP for power trip, leaving no room for Bl0XY. In retaliation, he ate all my exp candy XS from the raid and evolved. Likely to keep up, Bl0XY then evolves into drizzile by doing something similar with my exp candy S...and immediately sort of regretted it. MegaAlph didn't suffer from that however,he seemed happy about his newfound strengthened claws and flight, and is even more eager to battle.
MegaAlph was also pretty happy to put bede in his place. He probably didn't like being called inferior. Bl0XY... apparently didn't even care about that comment.
Finally a Mon I can catch! Unfortunately for Bl0XY and MegaAlph, Milcery threw the kitchen sink at them to fight, until Bl0XY was able to use bind to finally wea:ken her enough to catch it. Welcome to the team,Vermilla!
It seems Vermilla is a foil to the increasingly more reckless MegaAlph, who's careful and maybe a bit more calm.
I think that's a good place to end off, I hope my attempt at anipoke style anecdotes proved entertaining. Also let me know what mons should I go after next, and please avoid weather locked encounters if possible.

Episode 2:
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003870998
Testerday I was thinking about if farfetch'd is considered my fav of route 5s options, and decided, yes it is (swirlix I don't think is that cool, wobuffets only funny becuz Jessie's one, and stufful I don't care for).
Considering Sirfetch'd has a knight motif, I named him stormreign, another Transformer knight.
Well aware of sir fetch'ds Evo method I go in search of focus energy TR.
Found it.
Also found this while hunting for leeks. I decide to give up the leek hunt for now and just use farfetch'd as it is, because I don't want to spend 1 hour grinding for a leek. ( I also tried looking up where scope lens is, and it's on route 9. Sweet Arceus).
The fact that I tried to evolve it via team yell also concerned me, so I gave up on Sirfetch'd seriously because I don't want desire to evolve it to consume me...and end up costing stormreign in the process.
By sheer luck, stormreign gets the 3 crits he needed on Hops Wooloo and Corvisquire and evolves. Phew!
Someity also evolved after defeating a croagunk with stormreigns help. I wonder how she and stormreign will help tackle nessa.
Uh...yeah...sure (insert translucent shot of eternamax eternatus here)
On the way to nessa, I half jokingly told myself that if the fishing spot is an arrokuda, I'll catch it because Barraskewdas high speed is fun and definitely it's among my fav galar mons. Guess what happened.
The name I picked was Skalor, after this stinky robo relicanth wannabe transformer.
Anywho after Stormreign cuts a path through the puzzle, he's first in line against Nessa.
He deals disgusting damage to Goldeen with first impression and flings it away with brutal swing. 2 brutal swings fell arrokuda, but can this knight beat drednaw?
Drednaw and stormreign trade max strikes with max knuckles, but stormreigns mighty cleave-no not that one- take down the turtle. Wow Sirfetch'd is strong...now anyway.
(I wish I had a bulky water type who can take advantage of this now)
I'm gonna end it here, next time I'll take on galar mine 2. No deaths so far... But that could all change.
Episode 1:
https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003869643
As promised, I've taken a rest, and now I'm ready to go again.
RIP Izzy the Togepi. Your sacrifice will not be in vain.
Galar mine 1 I kinda wanted the carkoal, but settled on my favorite of pick to be roggenrola. Thank Ash's boldore for making Sturdy look so cool.
I named roggenrola after this rock transformer. I needed a rocky sounding name, and this one was grey and black so it works.
Didn't know that was there.
Anywho I grind on the trainers to get some exp before taking on bede. I have a bug type (Papil the Dottler) and a dark type (Roni the Galarian Zigzagoon) , hopefully that means something.
(I'm gonna stop posting battle images as they're hard to catch I'm just gonna narrate with a gen 7 style wall of text... unless I can guarantee I can grab a moment with ease.)
Bede leads with solosis and I lead with Roni. A snarl nearly one shots solosis but Roni near faints to endeavor.
Another snarl takes out solosis but Roni is at yellow, so I swap to Papil, who trades 2 struggle bugs with 2 rounds from Hatenna and emerges on top.
When he sends on gothita I accidentally forgot to swap, so iguanas had to come in on a psybeam. Luckily, 2 water pulses are enough to beat gothita, I remember I accidentally triggered it's competitive ability once, so I had to swap in case I set something up to sweep.
I caught this Galarian Meowth outside turfield. Obstagoon may be my favorite galarian form, but Perserker isn't half bad.
I was thinking of these 2 Olympic mascots because they, like Galarian Meowth, are viking themed. Since the Galarian Meowth is a female, I named her after the girl on the left.
Side note: Why does dottler evolve so late for an early route bug? Sure orbeetle is cool, but I'm not sure how long it can last in a nuzlocke before going all out and evolving.
Surprisingly I'm ill equipped to take on Milos gym with my current team , since only Papil the Dottler can smack grass types for super effective. As expected, he had to take care of most of the gym trainers, but can he beat Milo?
Gossifleur was a relative cake walk, but eldegoss proved a bit harder to deal with. Papil manages to set up psychic terrain to override grassy terrain while dynamaxed, and that probably gave him the edge needed to defeat eldegoss.
(Also I noticed the switch vibrated when max overgrowth and max flutterby exchanged blows)
That's one tanky cocoon. I wish it evolved now after hitting 20 but oh well, it is what it is.
Returning to the wild area once more, I catch a duskull near the tower (it was Duskull, Drifloon or a Golurk that will own me). Among gen 3 ghost types I think dusclops being this legendary eviolite user , setting up TR was on my mind. And maybe pimpnites astral barrages duskull sweep.
Skullitron is taken from this transformer here. Also becuz skull.
As for my 1 use raid den, I got lucky and got a ralts...which is female. Ralts is still cute to me anyway, and I also like kirlia too.
I named her after this Olympic Mascot, since both have psychic abilities and some degree of pink.
I wish tyrouge had more level up moves, but let's evolve it and see which Hitmon I get. I've never used a Hitmon before, so I'm very excited.
Ok...? That's fine since I do like me some good old offense from time to time. I guess I'm keeping focus energy and maybe fake out for utility.
Argh...I can't get Obstagoon because night time only Evo. Why?
Anywho, before I called it a day I claimed the gift toxel...becuz Toxtricity is awesome.
I named him rawry after a Yokai watch character
This character is like Toxtricity, being a punk who makes a lot of noise. Thanks for reading!

Anywho, now to actually explain the stuff.
You've probably seen this quote everywhere, especially when competitive comes to mind.
However, that got me thinking: can my fav mons in the Galar Pokedex get me all the way to Leon?
Rules:
-If a Mon faints, it's dead and unusable.
-1 encounter per route. However instead of what appear first, it's what my favorite of the bunch that appears is. Fishing is considered separate.
-"Favorite" definition: I must like at least one stage of a line to be able to catch it. Sure it would be funny to take NFEs to Leon but I'd trust actual challenge ytbers like pchal to do this insanity as opposed to myself.
-5 item limit: I'm only allowed to use 5 items in battle. Revives don't count.
-nicknames must be applied to all mons. They'll be a mix of transformers names, names of Olympic mascots or Yokai watch characters becuz those are what I'm into ATM, the first one would have to do a lot of heavy lifting for the names. If there's any name I need to explain, feel free to ask in the replies.
-For every gym badge I get, I'm granted 1 pass to the wild area and 1 raid to do.
Now that that's our of the way, let's get started.
Also, long and windy post warning: these posts are all going to be stream of consciousness formatted and can get very long. If that's not ok with you, click away now.
Still with me? Good.
(As for why I chose Gloria this time, it's for variety since I'm trying to use the female character option more often. Also I'm back in English for this run)
After using Chinese for so long, I think I'll need time to readjust to seeing this text type again.
Interestingly, I dunno if the dialog is meant to be such, but because I picked Gloria, apparently the bag belongs to the characters mother now. Weird.
I also didn't know fishing rod was built in either.
I mentioned in the finale of my last playthrough series I'd use sobble, so I'm delivering on my word. Sobble is my favorite of the Galarian starters, and while cinderace and rillaboom are more appealing when fully evolved, I've used them on my 1st and 2nd play throughs of the game, so I'm gonna use sobble for this one.
Initially I tried inputting the name iguanus, after the Decepticon pretender with a lizard like appearance.
(I'll start putting pics of namesakes below sections like this when I'm deciding names), but the censor blocked me, so I had to settle with iguanas.
Anywho, from name origins to rivalry origins, time to fight Hop.
Wooloo surprisingly isn't a pushover and takes 2 pounds to take out. Scorbunny, meanwhile, is extinguished in 2 water guns.
Yeah...sure...
(I've never completed a dex in any game)
Now to go through the slumbering weald section.
Iguanas fights off 2 skwovets and a rookidee (who I tried and failed to sneak past)
Smogon and vgc players when they saw zacians attack stat and ability be like:
Anywho, I'm not gonna bother with what happens here, but I headcanon this is what would cause iguanas to learn snipe shot... assuming he gets to evolve all the way.
Phew, that sheeps' safe.
Ok, now I can start clocking encounters.
Unfortunately for me, I end up expending my route 1 encounter by koing a rookidee. Oops. I was tempted to put up a facade and catch a different rookidee, but decided I wouldn't lie like that.
Likely because of this the catching tutorial ended up unskippable.
Luckily route 2 finally provides me with my first team member. Blipbug. This line is my favorite of the early game bugs, mostly orbeetle.
Anywho as for a name...I decided to go deep cut and named it papil, after beet-papil, not a a Transformer but kinda close to one anyway, also because it transforms into a ladybug. Go look it up if you're curious.
That said he currently only knows struggle bug so that could prove a problem. He also unfortunately only helped beat a single Nickit, so he's gonna have to evolve to do more.
Now for hop battle 2: which I'm at a disadvantage at because he has a rookidee and I have it's next meal. Iguanas had reached level 10 at this point, and had to sweep hops team on his own.
Well that was easy but I need more mons besides Iguanas to beat the game... especially since he can't dent Milo.
I confess here I was still thinking about how fishing would work, and decided they'd also count towards seperate encounters. Like most I don't like chewtle. However drednaw is cool to me still.
I catch the chewtle and name him snaptrap, after yet another Transformer (I promise I'll not name the next one after a robot in disguise). He transforms into a turtle with Blastoise style cannons.
Hopefully the wild area can give me something I can name after a non transformer...
My wish was granted thanks to my wild area encounter being an Oddish-wait I accidentally ran into in all honesty, so it doesn't count.
Meanwhile for this max raid encounter I get a Togepi. I think Togekiss is definitely high up on my fav mons so I catch it.
As for this lil bundle of joy...I chose the name Izzy after this mascot, becuz like Togepi it looks unlike anything. That is all.
As for my actual encounter...I went with tyrouge. The hitmons are pretty cool IMO and are among my favorite fighting types due to their cool gimmick.
As for what I name my kung fu kid, well I went with roughraff, because like tyrouge he likes to fight.
As for fishing well...I caught a Magikarp and I think I can safely say I won't be fishing for a while. (Also I evolved Papil into dottler so he can do something).
I'll probably name her fishpicable, after another ykw character. Fishpicables evolution is violent like Gyarados so I guess it works?
Anywho after all that I finally arrive in motostoke.
...I need to replace one of my water types. Not via loss though, this is a nuzlocke after all!
Huh, I never thought of spikemuth that way.
Anywho, now to the first Team Yell battle. Roughraff and Papil should be able to handle their teams...right?
Nope, apparently Izzy was able to beat all of the grunts with ease. She's also packing life dew from the raid she was in and is a bit overelevelled but at least she did something as a togepi. That said she has hustle, meaning her pounds hit hard but have a chance to miss which luckily didn't stop her too much this time.
I chose the number 60 because I memorized poliwags nat Dex number...I think I was just messing around and came up with this.
(Why does he use steel types again?)
Now as for hop battle number 3...
I attempt to pound ko with Izzy but swap to roughraff to actually defeat this sheep.
Uh...he still beat the silly sheep anyway.
For rookidee Izzy just learnt ancient power, so I can try and get a boost.
Iguanas then takes care of scorbunny and that's the end of it.
Oh yes. Obstagoon single handedly made me care for this line. I'd gladly take one.
I named her Roni after another Olympics mascot.
She replaces snaptrap on the team.
That's 1 powerful Togepi, almost brocks happiny levels of OP.
Oops
And...a RIP already near the end by a random trainers sizzilipede. Apparently the curry didn't restore my ancient power pp so I lost a mon becuz of skill issue. I was admitedly rushing to wrap this up so I guess Izzy paid the price for it...
She was doing so well too...
Iguanas definitely didn't take the loss well. Don't worry buddy, let's just try and get to the top on her behalf.
That ends today's play session. Let's see if we can go an ep deathless in the future.
Right now I’m doing some redesigns for the Galar starters and their evolutions (+gigantamax forms) and I’m wondering what should be the secondary type for the final evos. I know I want Cinderace to be fire/electric, but I don’t know what to do with Inteleon and Rillaboom. Any thoughts?

Like for example, Drizzile is the high-schooler who eggs / TP's houses. Thwackey is the high school band member and Raboot is the extra sporty kid.
