If anyone cares enough to want to know what my favorite Pokémon is, well… my favorite is Dewpider. I’m not lying at all. I’ve loved it for more than 3 years now, and for two reasons. One’s because I think it’s literally one of the cutest things in existence. It’s SOOOOOOOOOOOO cute… but the second reason is because… how much Dewpider is unfairly criticized by the Pokémon community… I say it’s a fully innocent thing that did NOTHING WRONG to get hated on.
Dewpider is an absolute cutie pie and I love it more than just about anything.

So, I had a stupidly sad dream where there was a person who made a YouTube video that was basically a rant about Dewpider, talking about “it’s a really unappealing and creepy pokemon.” (Even though I never saw it that way…)
This is what the thumbnail of the video looked like.
The video started out with the person saying this.
“So, there’s a lot of cool looking Pokémon from The Alola Region, but one in extreme particular has always took my attention and made it worse. That Pokémon… is Dewpider. Like, what the hell is this? This Pokémon is very unappealing to look at.”
So there were two halves of this video. The first half being the rant and the second half was some 3D sci fi animation about ‘purple eggs’ and the animation had nothing to do with the topic of the first half.
The video had 3 million views or something and 80% of people who rated this video gave it a dislike. The top comment on the video was “Dewpider is innocent! don’t be mean to him!” And the creator gave that comment a heart for some reason
For context, the water bubble on the Alolan variant was replaced with a jar of jam. The typing was also changed from Water/Bug to Grass/Bug.
