Can’t wait to see everyone else’s art!!

Ever since I was young I loved Pokemon and I always wanted to create my own version of my journey in the anime so I created this as one of my projects based on one of my favourite shows and game. I’ll be using the Let’s Go Pokédex entry for the first season. With his journey finally beginning, Drake, the son of the sinnoh champion Cynthia, plans to become both a Pokemon master and the ultimate dragon trainer.

Our adventure begins

The episode begins and we see what looks like the beginning of the original Pokémon video games, but it soon transitions into animation as we see a Venomoth and a tentacruel battle in a stadium full of screaming fans. The Tentacruel suddenly blasted a large stream of water at Venomoth but it dodged it and then began to spread powder from it wings.

Announcer: “oh, and Tentacruel goes for a Hydro Pump but Venomoth dodges it and now he going for a sleep powder attack!” As Tentacruel began to fall asleep but it was suddenly recalled. His trainer then sent out another pokeball and out of it came the bulky four arm Pokémon, Machamp. “What this? Tentacruel has been recalled and his trainer has called out a Machamp! This battle getting intense folk!”

It was then the camera changed to a 10-year old long hair blonde kid who was wearing a blue and white jacket with a dragon emblem on the back, a purple shirt, grey trouser, red and sliver shoes, fingerless gloves and he had a dragon fang necklace. This was Drake and tomorrow he begins his journey to becoming both a Pokémon master and the ultimate Dragon trainer. Him and his mother move to Pallet town in the Kanto Region last month and he recently turned 10 meaning he was ready to get his trainer’s license.

Drake: “this is it.” As he tightened his glove. “This is when I become a Pokemon trainer.” As he pick up his alarm clock which was designed after an ultra ball. “Ultra ball! Go!!!” He yelled as he threw the ultra alarm which was suddenly caught by his mother: Cynthia, the champion of Sinnoh. “Oh, sorry mom, didn’t see you there.”

Cynthia: “it alright but shouldn’t you be in bed, mister? You do have a big tomorrow.” As she put the alarm clock back next to Drake bed. “I still can’t believe it. My little boy gonna start his journey. I still remember when I started my journey with Garchomp.” As she hugged him tightly.

Drake: “moooom, you know I’m not so little anymore.” He said annoyed that his mother still calls him little even though he 10 years old.

Cynthia: “you’ll always be little to me.” She said as she kissed her son on his forehead. “Now, get ready for bed. You got a journey to begin and I’ve got a master tournament to attend in the morning. I love you, my little treasure.” As she kissed her son some more.

Later that night, Drake changed into his pyjamas and was currently laying asleep in his bed. He was currently dreaming about him becoming one of the most famous trainers in all of the world and was currently in a stadium facing down a masked trainer who was using primal Groudon while Drake was using a shiny Mega Rayquaza. (If you can automatically tell the episode I’m referencing here, then you are a true Pokémon fan.)

Drake: “alright Rayquaza, let finishes this. Use Draco Metor!!!” Mega Rayquaza then form a ball of energy in it mouth which it then shoot upward towards the sky. When it exploded, dozen of meteorites began to fall the ground, striking the battle arena and the Primal Groudon which then roared out as it fainted. “And that how it done!” He yelled as the stadium audience then cried out in celebration.

However just then, the celebration stopped abruptly when the sky began to crack into the form of two eyes and a mouth which just started to suck everything in, including Drake.

Drake: “AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!” He scream as he awoke from his dream. “Oh, please tell me that wasn’t what I think it was.” He said as he covered his face with his hands.

????: “oh but it was, mister sleepyhead.” A almost mischievous voice said. Drake looked at the voice and see one of his mother Pokémon, Spiritomb. “Your mother asked to wake you up. So I suggest you get up before I have to sucker punch ya.”

Drake: “alright alright, I’m up. But your threat useless because sucker punch is only useful if I’m attacking ya.”

For those who are curious about drake being able to understand Spiritomb. He actually had the ability to communicate with Pokemon since he could remember. He always thought that this was another to get close to his Pokémon and even bond with them.

A little bit later, Drake got dressed and started to head down to have a quick breakfast before heading out. There he saw his mother wearing her signature outfit and eating her breakfast.

Cynthia: “good morning, sweetie.”

Drake: “it was until Spiritomb woke me up. Mom, why’d you have Spiritomb uses Dream Eater to wake me up?” As he went to the cupboard and grabbed a fudge sundae flavour poptart and started to eat it.

Cynthia: “well, if you didn’t oversleep so much, I wouldn’t have to.” She said as she take a sip of her drink. “Now I have to leave for Galar soon, so I’m just gonna say this: enjoy your journey, have fun with your Pokemon and most importantly, beat every gym and ace every tournament.” As she kissed her son on the check. “Love you my little treasure.”

Drake: “love you too, mom.”

Later, after Drake finished his breakfast and his mother headed to the airport to go to Galar for the master tournament, Drake headed towards professor Oaks house in order to get his first ever Pokémon. When he arrived, he was greeted by professor Oak himself.

Drake: “hey professor Oak. Sorry if I’m late.”

Professor Oak: “actually Drake, you’re actually a few minutes early. No other trainer has arrived yet.”

Drake: “really? Well let not wait around for them. I’m too excited to stay still.” He said while shaking with excitement.

???: “so you can have a head start on the rest of us?” A voice said which caused Drake to turn around to see another 10-year old boy, he had dark brown hair with a streak of red in it. He wore a black hoodie. He had worn jeans and black shoes. “My name Jacob and I’m one of the other trainers who getting his license today. Looks like we’ll be rivals.”

Drake: “oh nice, this’ll make the journey even more fun.” As he got even more excited.

Professor Oak: “very well then. Let introduce you to your starter then.” As he showed Drake and Marik a table with three poke balls with different stickers on them. The one on the left had a leaf sticker on it, the middle one had a flame sticker on it and the right one had the water sticker on it. “May I introduce you to your future starter.”

Just then, the poke balls open up and light came out of them. The light from the left one revealed a small green amphibian like Pokemon with three claws on each of it feet. It also had a large seed on it back. This was the grass starter: Bulbasaur. The light from the right pokeball revealed a light blue, turtle like Pokemon with a squirrel like tail. This was the water starter: Squirtle. Finally, the light from the middle one revealed a bipedal orange lizard like Pokemon with a flame at the tip of it tail. This was the fire starter: Charmander.

Drake: “wow, so these are the starters we get to pick from? Nice.” As he looked at each of the starters, deciding which one to pick.

Prof Oak: “indeed. Since you arrived here first, why don’t you pick first, Drake?”

Drake: “okay then.” As he smiled and looked at the three starters, thinking which one to choose. He then looked at Charmander who was smiling at him. “I think I made I choice. My starter will be Charmander!” He said proudly as the Charmander jumped up and down with joy and into his arms.

Jacob: “alright then, I’ll go with Squirtle then. I’ll always prefer having the type advantage over my opponent anyway.” As he picked up Squirtle pokeball.

Professor Oak: “now, youngsters, before you head out on your journey, you’re gonna need a this.” As he gave them each a Rotom Smartphone. “This device serves as your Pokémon encyclopaedia, your communication, your trainer license, so make sure not to lose them. And to make sure that they’re full capacity.” As he pulled out two poke balls that released two Rotoms.

Drake: “no way. Rotoms.” He said as they both went into the Smartphones.

Professor Oak: “since trainers are getting tired of using Pokédex and heading to Pokémon centres to exchange their pokemon, I figured I give these Rotom Phones a try. They also allow you to transfer Pokémon from anywhere you are.”

Drake open his Pokédex app on his Rotom Phone to see what it said about Charmander.

Pokédex app: Charmander, the lizard Pokémon. A fire-type. The flame at the tip of its tail makes a sound as it burns. You can only hear it in quiet places. If the flame goes out, Charmander will die.

Drake: “I promise I’ll take real good of you, Blaze. I promise.” As he rubbed Charmander head.”

Jacob: “Blaze?”

Drake: “yeah, I figured I’d give nicknames to my Pokemon so I’ll feel close to them.” He smiled as he stroked Blaze's chin.

Jacob: “well, now that the selection of our starter Pokemon is done with. They’re really only one thing to do.”

Drake: “and what that?”

Jacob: “our first rival battle.” Which shocked Drake and Blaze.

Outside, drake and blaze were preparing for their first battle. Drake was using the Pokédex app to see what Blaze's moves were.

Pokédex App: “Name: Charmander. Nickname: Blaze. Type: Fire. Ability: Blaze. Moves: Scratch, Growl and Ember.”

Drake: “not much of a moveset but we are just starting after all. Flamethrower pretty awesome though.” As he closed the Pokédex app.

Blaze: “You betcha, my flame burn hotter than any other fire type you’ll meet.”

Drake: “I hope so. Especially since our first battle against a Pokémon that has the type advantage.” As he looked at Jacob and Squirtle preparing for battle. “Let start off strong: Blaze, get close and use Scratch!”

Blaze nodded and ran at Jacob Squirtle with his claws glowing but Jacob smiled.

Jacob: “block it with your shell, Squirtle and then uses Pound!” Squirtle complied by using it strong shell to block Charmander's claws and knocked him back by using his tail. “Now use water gun!” Squirtle then shot a burst of water from his mouth at the Charmander as he got up.

Drake: “Blaze! Use Ember to cancel out the water gun! Quick!” Blaze then nodded and shot out the ember from it mouth at the water gun. Both attacks cancelled each other out, resulting in steam appearing around the field, blinding Jacob and Squirtle. Suddenly the embers that Blaze used came through and struck Jacob Squirtle, sending it back. “Now! Let’s finish this with one more Scratch, Blaze.”

Blaze ran at Squirtle and Slashed at Squirtle with his claws, knocking Squirtle back even more. Squirtle tried to get up but that when it fainted.

Drake: “yes, we won our first ever battle.” As both he and Blaze celebrated their first ever victory.

Jacob: “I thought this was a sure win.” As he returned Squirtle to his pokeball. “It doesn’t make sense.”

Drake: “you can’t just rely on type advantage in a battle. My mom taught me that a battle is decided with bond between the trainer and his Pokémon. That why I want to be a Pokémon trainer. So I can create strong bonds with my Pokémon and become one of the greatest Pokémon trainers ever.”

Jacob: “gotta say, that a pretty big dream to try and achieve.”

Drake: “it is but sometimes, the big dream are just worth it.”

Later, Drake was preparing to leave Pallet town when he got a call on his Rotom Phone. He answered it and saw that it was mom.

Drake: “Mom!”

Cynthia: “hey sweetie. I just arrived in Galar and figured I call to check on you.”

Drake: “well you picked a good time to call. I want to introduce you to someone. Meet Blaze.” As he introduced his new Charmander to his mother. “And guess what? We just won our first battle together.”

Cynthia: “that amazing. I’ve never been so proud of you. Sorry I had to miss it though.”

Drake: “it okay. Beside, I got to know, how’s galar? You won your match yet?”

Cynthia: “no not yet, sweetie. I’m in the third match against the Unova champion. I call you later after that. Okay?” As she smiled.

Drake: “okay. See you then mom.” As he ended the call and look out towards Route 1 while smiling. “You ready for our journey together, Blaze?” As he looked at his partner.

Blaze: “you betcha, Drake.” As they high-five each other and head towards their next destination: Viridian City.

Meanwhile, in a unknown location, a group of cloaked figures was busy talking with a masked man wearing some sort of high tech armor. The largest cloaked man stepped forward and removed his hood, revealing his bald head and some sort of advanced battle mask.

Mask man: “Sundowner, Report on the progress of the Bio Beast machines.”

Sundowner: “you’ll be pleased to know, lord Ramattra, that they are coming along smoothly. Soon we’ll be able to deploy our first eight Bio Beast Machines. We just need one thing, something from the Kanto Region. Specifically from Sliph Co.” As he showed a hologram of the Sliph Co building in Saffron City. “Allow me, Monsoon and Mistral to retrieve it.” As two of the cloaked figures removed their cloaks, revealing a man wearing full body armor and a high tech helmet covering his entire head except for his mouth and a female pink red hair woman with dark skin wearing a full body suit.

Ramattra: “I shall but remember our purpose here, Sundowner. The purpose of Team Evolution.” As he grip his fist tightly.

Everyone: “to guide Humanity into it glorious new tomorrow!” As they all saluted.

Ramattra: “either willingly or by dragging them kicking and screaming all the way.” As the scene ends with the screen darkening with Ramattra red eyes glowing in the darkness.

In the coming days, I'm going to publish a 3-part text titled "Alternate Alola".

1)Serena and Greninja continue to travel with Ash.

2)Ash at the end of XYZ learns that Alola will soon host the first league in the history of the region and decides that he should be the first champion of this region. Serena decides to try herself in a different path and also decides to participate in the Alola league,even if she doesn't win.

3)Giovanni, with the help of some artifact, makes the whole world, except for members of his organization, forget about the existence of Team Rocket and announces to other members of the team that he is dissolving the organization.Due to Ash and his companions interacting with Team Rocket too much and erasing them from their memories would damage their minds, they also still remembers their existence.

4)Jessie, James and Meowth decide to also participate in the Alola league and start new life.

5)The Alola League will start at 1/128.

The Champion of Alola will have a battle not with Professor Kukui, but with Cynthia.

6)Ash is recognized as a Kalos league finalist.

7)Ash doesn't go to school and doesn't live with Kukui,Serena went to school, but she lived with Mallow,however, this will not interfere with her training with Ash, since both have flying Pokémon and both can agree on a meeting place,Ash lives in a campground he built on Treasure Island, but at the same time, nothing prevents Ash and Serena from agreeing on a place for meetings and training.

8)Ash uses Pokémon from previous regions, and in Alola he only catches Rowlet and Jangmo-o and both of them will reach their final stage of evolution.

9)The Alola league will also feature Paul, Alain and Sawyer.

Similarities:

1)Island arcs, Ash acts in them and behaves the same way.

3)Ash vs Guzma, the only difference is that Guzma, having heard about a certain strong trainer, will call him to his base.

Ash has defeated Cynthia in his first major battle against her! Now he must face Leon! Hopefully Ash’s friends and rivals show up in Galar to cheer for him.
