Today is April 30th, the birthday of Crystal, or Crys!
Based on Kris, the female protagonist of Pokémon Crystal, and partially Lyra of HeartGold and SoulSilver, Crystal is one of the three Pokédex holders of the Johto Region. Her amazing ability to catch Pokémon gives her the title of "Catcher".
Crystal developed her skill when she was just a child. After an accident during her childhood that left both her arms broken, Crystal learned to kick Poké Balls with her feet. Although her arms have been completely healed, thanks to five Pokémon she then obtained, including one that inadvertently caused the accident after healing it herself, Crystal has retained the “habit” of kicking her Poké Balls instead of throwing them.
Crystal also worked at Earl Dervish's Pokémon Academy taking care of children, Emerald took a liking to her during this time. She officially started her journey when Professor Oak requests her to complete the Pokédex in exchange for helping the academy. She has taken part in the battles against the Masked Man, Guile Hideout, and Archer. Crystal was last seen aiding the Johto Gym Leaders and Elite Four in helping destroy Grand Meteor Delta, but who knows what’s next for her?!
