Chapter 8, Astrology

It has been a week since Flare left for the Spear Pillar. However, that week went by fast. Flare and everyone else had been hard at work. They had one shot to save everything and only one. Over the week their class had barely made any progress compared to the others.

"Will we ever make any progress??" Retract, a gallade (All Pokemon at the camp are shiny) and the lead Astrologian said. Flare was going over everything she knew about Astrology. She knew virtually nothing. She felt worthless.

"I've found something. Looking back to historical records of constellations and Zodiac signs, I found one thing that matches with our month. Only those with the Libra Zodiac sign can enter that realm." Chatter said. Chatter is a Chandelure.

"Good, we're getting somewhere." Retract looked relieved… for a second. "IF WE KEEP MOVING AT THIS PACE WE'LL NEVER GET DONE IN TIME!!!!!" Retract slammed his hand on his desk.

"Good news." Giritina entered, beside it a clefable. "Astro will help you, she's a master with Astrology."

"Hello! I overheard you talking about Libra Zodiac signs! I'm a Libra too!!" Astro pointed her finger in excitement, as if about to use metronome.

"All classes will report their findings at dusk, tomorrow we will have a town hall meeting. The results will set the mood." Giritina walked out.

"Next Sunday is our final day if only Libra signs can pass, we need to get working!" Astro ran to an empty desk. With the four of us here we should get done in time.

As the day came and went the four made several discoveries, ever so closer to their goal. Each class, hard at work, made incredible progress. They turned their reports in and awaited the next day.

Distortion World, Ancient Huisu region, around the time of Tap's disappearance

"Why do you cling to such a meaningless faith? I've told you I know nothing!"

"Apazep, I know you were very close to the Lady of the Ridge before death. She undoubtedly informed you of me did she not?"

"How does me knowing of you benefit you?" I asked.

"You know exactly what. You know of the only ones willing to try to erase me for their precious selves."

"It is not for themselves foul one, it is for everything that matters that is not god dying!" I yelled. No hope, nothing to cling to.

"Morse code?"

"You know everything then if you can read my thoughts. There is nothing to explain." I hoped to get out of the argument with this.

"I cannot read old thoughts, only those at the time. Even if I were to read you in this realm I would forget in an instant. So are you going to play dumb or play along?"

"I would never give anything to you, even if it costs me my already dead life, I won't." I will not give this one anything I may regret. Even if it means that not only my life but my soul is lost, I will not endanger the things that breathe.

"Fine. I will wait. I will wait until this darkness consumes you and forces you to my will. Even if my dreams will be shattered… I will get everything out of you. I can assure you that. After all, I have all the time in the world to myself." Know thing. I will never let you have the information. I will find a way to send my soul to the one place you can never enter and fully die there! No matter how much you may want this, you will never get it.

Chapter 2- the darkest day

Aliester sat in the freezing pokemon center alongside Mr. Mime. The energy crisis was so bad these days even heaters weren't supplied with energy. They sat eyes glued to the TV. There were several reports suddenly outbreaking around galar, the reporters suspected Eternatus had awoken, but there was no sign of it anywhere across the landscape. But Aleister already noticed a pattern due to the detective skills he gained from being in a pokemon rescue squad, if he was correct Eternatus was lurking somewhere in Hammerlocke, just like when the heroes Goh and Ash had beaten it… just like when the original heroes had beaten it. The city must have had some special power spot there only Eternatus could access. It all pointed there. The place hadn't been used since the accident except for sometimes people could go on tours through it's rubble. Most sightings were around the stadium, it was Eternatus's power spot twice before, and if it wasn't at high power, then there would be no clouds. It all added up. Aliester jumped up and jogged to the desk.

"If a Mr. Maron comes looking for me please inform him that I'm headed for Hammerlock." Aliester said.

"Of course." Nurse Joy said.

"Thanks." Aliester responded and ran out the door, Mr. Mime stopped him.

"Huh? Do you need something?" He asked.

"Mime!" Mr. Mime responded and sat in the air, Aliester decided to as well.

"Wawww!" He shouted in surprise as he rushed forwards. Mr. Mime was making steering movements, they were in an invisible car. What a great pokemon!We'll be there in no time, I only hope Mr Mime can put up a good fight.

They finally arrived parking in the rubble. But Aleister couldn't get out of the car.

"You locked me in." He complained.

"Mime mime." Mr. Mime extended his arm and a siren noise briefly sounded. Aliester crawled out of the car and gently shut the door.

As expected there were faint crimson lights rising from the ground. Galar particles. He walked alongside them to their confluence. He followed them to the stadium, just as expected, it could only mean one thing, Eternamax was about to rampage if he couldn't find it in time. Aliester returned Mr. Mime and broke into the fastest run his legs could muster, the galar particles were moving downward now, down to the vault Eternatus's pokeball was usually stored in. The elevator was broken, but instead of stairs He grabbed hold of the cable and slid to the bottom. He then ran through the doorway, it was so rubbled up down here no security measures activated in response to the intruder. Then he saw it. Its majestic crimson light that shone brighter than the night sky almost mesmerised him. But he snapped out of it, this light was deadly. Eternatus was truly a sight to see, so big, so strong, so.. hateful.

"Ah help arrived!" A stranger shouted. Aliester turned his head. There was a tall guy with cold steel colored eyes, ashy grey spiked hair, he wore a rather fancy black suit, 2 scarlet bracelets and a Gold necklace. The necklace had wings and a big horn, and a little horn coming off the top of a red crystal.

"Well don't stand there, this is Eternatus!"

"Right! It's a raid battle then." Aliester responded.

"Great. The name's Shay. Now Absol arise!" Shay shouted. An Absol came forth from a rather strange ball Aliester had never seen before. It was black on the top and bottom, the middle ring was glowing red and above the button was a red Y bulging out.

"I'll get straight to the point." Shay said and held out the necklace, Aliester noticed now that the wings and horns resembled a Mega absol.

" A brilliant darkness that overwhelms even the brightest light, become the pure essence of darkness that purged the land so long ago once more. Mega evolve!" Shay yelled. The mega evolution seemed off. It was supposed to be blue, not red. Aliester dismissed the thought assuming the galar particles had messed with its coloration.

"Ok then, Mr. Mime… sorry I don't have a cool rhyme." Aliester said and throwing out Mr. Mime. Mr. Mime and Shay didn't look amused and the lame intro but quickly focused on the battle at hand, Eternatus was getting used to being awake after 600 years and didn't pay much attention to them.

Eternatus seemed interested now though, feeling the surge of Absol's strange energy, it released its Scarlet blast that was so strong not even champions could survive a direct hit.

"Use Future sight!" Shay commanded.

Absol's eyes briefly glew magenta and performed a perfect dodge. Its claws then made the same glow and dug into Eternatus. Eternatus let out a screech and swung its tail at Absol.

"Mr. Mime reel Absol in with Psychic!" Aliester yelled.

Mr. Mime pulled Absol in in the nick of time causing the wall to obliviate into ruin, but poison tail came in for a second time and hit them both.

"Ah no!" Shay yelled."Stay strong Absol, remember our goal!" Absol made a snarl at Eternatus and stood back up shakily though poisoned. Mr. Mime did the same, without the snarl. Eternatus let out a scarlet beam once more, neither would be fast enough to dodge this time.

"Use Copycat, try to hold it off!" Aliester ordered, the clash should give him time to think of what to do next.

"Absol Help it out with a hyper beam!" Shay commanded.

Absol growled and swung its head in a semicircle as the hyper beam charged up, it then stomped into the ground sending cracks through it as the hyper beam launched.

The three beams collided with a blinding flash, though Eternatus was slowly advancing, Mr. Mime knew they couldn't hold it much longer and shoved Absol out of the blast radius. He looked up as the crimson beam spiralled down to his face.

"MiIiIme!!!" Mr. Mime let out as it was slammered with the impact.

"Mr. Mime no! Grrr, return." Aliester said in a shaky voice and returned him. He was just starting to realize what he was up against. You don't have the correct feel untill your up against the real deal. Now he knew to be scared instead of casual. Eternatus seemed to pressure this thought as it stared down into Aliesters eyes. It was using recover.

"I, I can't help any longer. Sorry, I've gotta get out of here!" Aliester yelled and turned to run.

"Your not done yet, take this." Shay responded and threw a pokeball to him.

"... your right, now that I have another pokemon I feel a little less scared. Come on ou-"

"Not yet! Absol perish song!" Shay warned getting louder at the end of the sentence. Absol let out a horrible noise that bothered everyone's ears, Eternatus slammed poison tail down onto absol effectively knocking it out.

"Now, Come out!" Aliester threw the ball high into the air. It burst open releasing a Chandelure.

"Aegislash I need you once again!" Shay yelled, releasing it. But then something odd happened, instead of battling, Shay grabbed Shiny Aegislash sword in one hand and Shiny Aegislash shield in the other.

"A sword and shield, that's not a pleasant sight for you, is it?" Shay said tauntingly.

Eternatus backed off with a little whine, then changed its mind and screeched drawing nearer.

"We need to take Eternatus to the surface, that way others can join the raid battle." Aliester suggested. He wished he had his rescue gear right now, the fight would have been a whole lot easier.

"I agree. Aegislash up!" Shay ordered. Aegislash quickly ascended above Eternatus. He then threw the sword with Giga Impact straight at Eternatus's core. It let out a scream of pain and unleashed an all out Dynamax cannon scoring a direct hit on Shay. Light filtered in through a hole in the dusty ceiling as Eternatus fled through it. Not a trace of Shay was left.

"Chandelure up." Aleister said and held on. He chased Eternatus up the winding hole releasing a barrage of shadow balls. They finally broke to the surface to see Shay with Giga impact in one hand and King's shield in the other.

"You're alive!?" Aliester asked in disbelief as chandelure dodged a blast from Eternatus.

King's shield normally wouldn't have been able to block that, however I've already beaten 3 champions." Shay slightly bragged tugging on his scarlet tie.

"Amazing! That's why you're so confident." Aliester said

"Correct, everyone thinks me a prodigy for my out of the box battle styles, Absol didn't give that feel did it?" Shay asked.

Not really. Chandelure Up quickly and use blast burn!" Aliester responded.

Shay just snapped his fingers in response. Both the future sight and perish song from earlier finally made their mark. Eternatus let out one last screech and fell to the ground.

"Man! Looks like we're late."

"Yeah and after all the trouble of getting these. Two strangers said. They held the legendary sword and shield that was supposed to beat Eternatus.

"Unfortunately so. May I?" Shay said reaching for the sword and shield.

"I guess, you beat Eternatus after all, they're probably better in your hands than ours."

"Agreed" they both handed over the relics.

"Hmm thanks. Now on to you Eternatus, pokeball go!" Shay casually shouted and threw one of those odd pokeballs from before. It caught Eternatus without as much as a single shake.

"I guess you'll be leaving then." Aliester asked tossing chandelure's pokeball back.

"Correct. I'm off to Alola, should Eternatus break free again I believe Z-moves will help speed up stopping it. Plus no Galar particles, no Eternamax." He said shoving both pokeballs into his bag. "I'll see you soon."

"See ya later." Aliester responded.

Shay nodded." We're off Aegislash.

"Slash!" Aegislash said and carried him off into the skies.

"Ah wait!... I should've asked for a ride back, I don't remember where we parked…" Aliester said dramatically bending downwards. I guess I'll have some coffee waiting on Mr. Maron to arrive.

Aliester waited. Growing more and more worried about Mr. Mime's condition inside the pokeball. Just then wind pounded from overhead as a helicopter landed. Mr. Maron rushed from the aircraft.

"I simply can't say, where do your true talents lay? A great connoisseur yes, but a brilliant batteler as well! I just simply can't say how grateful I am to have met you, and to think you're joining us." Mr Maron said continuing his long speech, Aleister wonderd if this was going to be an annoying trend.

"Eternatus is no small feat kid." The pilot complimented.

"Shay did most of the work. But yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself for this one." Aliester said as they boarded the helicopter. The coffee had really lightened his mood. "Oh right! Mr. Mime's in bad shape, we need to treat him ASAP."

"Here kid take this." The pilot tossed back a full heal. "Where to next?"

"Castelia!" Mr. Maron stated overjoyously.

"Allright castelia!" Aleister shouted.

"Mime mime!" Mr. Mime shouted back happily as well.

Somewhere deep under kalos...

… . … " I must say, those two kids saved me a lot of trouble. Psh, prodigy at batteling. Hah, pro-d-i-gy of de-ception." Shay stated to himself joyously dragging out the last words. Shay had used full power from all his pokemon earlied, and it payed off. He slipped a cracked legendary sword, and cracked legendary shield on to Aegislash... it fit eerily perfectly.

"Zacian,Zamazenta I'm afraid your souls now belong to Aegislash. Two blurred figures forcefully made their way into the red crystal on his Mega absol necklace."... and Absol as well I suppose."

This is possibly the fourth drawing I'm posting on the Fandom. I'm quite inept at drawing... I just felt like drawing....
