Anywho, I also got tera normal Scyther (roaming around and proving to be a pain to deal with), tera normal roly (got with krool) and tera fighting hatena(got with cloddie).
Thoughts on my current team comp? And should I use it to put out mela's flames?
Eyes wide awake, it was morning. Odd that I was in a sweat, but even odder was that I couldn't recall what I dreamt about. Wouldn't it be easy to recall what you dreamed of if you woke up from a nightmare?
"Hey kiddo, you okay?"A voice asked. There was a concerned tone to them as I turned my head. It was an adult man who sat straight ahead of me, Caleb's father. His son and the Pokemon had their heads against both his arms.
"Yeah," I said quietly, rubbing my eyes right after.
The parent's expression was unconvinced. "Alright," he said, closing his own eyes.
What time was it anyway? Glancing down at my Poketch, the time was... My eyes widened. 1:05 a.m.. What a good time to wake up... but why was Caleb's dad awake at that time? Maybe he just woke up and saw me do it too. He was asleep from afternoon to night. Hopefully I don't get another nightmare.
. . .
A certain loudness rang me from my sleep. I opened my eyes to find Caleb and the trainer talking. Caleb's dad was at least not asleep, keeping an eye on his son while the Buizel munched on an Oran Berry. Huh.
For a while, I minded my own business, just sitting silently in my seat before the moment vanished by Caleb calling me over. "Hey!" The kid called out. Waving his hand at me, Caleb's companion turned back. "You know them?" The teen asked, getting a hyper nod from his smaller friend.
"Mhm! She's going to cook in Johto!"
The teenager in return, cocked his head. "That's interesting," he said. "Is that true?"
I answered with a nod.
"I see..."
He went to a deep thought for a moment before remembering where he was, becoming as red as a Slugma. "Anyways," the trainer continued. "I think I forgot to introduce myself but I'm Klark and I do puppetry with my Pokemon." Putting both hands in his bag, they came out with a Pikachu puppet and Musharna puppet.
Unsurprisingly, this got Caleb all excited. "Cool," he commented.
"Mhm! It is!" Klark accepted, going back to me. "And what might your name be? I'm afraid our meeting didn't go well." Leaning in closer, he whispered, "And also because we can't tell what you are."
"Why not?" I answered, rolling my eyes on the last sentence. "My name's Alex and like he said, I'm going to Johto to cook."
"Uh huh."
"Are you a boy or girl?" Caleb barged in. I gave Klark another look, then I answered the kid's question. "I'm a robot," I said. Out of every reaction he could've given, it ended up being a confused face with a half open mouth. Caleb's dad laughed out upon it, Klark stifling his own. "What's funny?" Caleb asked, clueless. I didn't really find it funny either but oh well. Even the Buizel rolled its eyes, still eating the berry.
Aside from that, our small group was working. Yeah, I'd not believe it too, especially if you ask me way before I went on the train. Ugh. I can't stop thinking about that. And her. Watching what's going on could maybe take my mind off things. Klark had his Pokemon out as he entertained the father and son with his puppetry. That was cute. Honestly, the act got a smile out of me. I didn't notice the Buizel beside me who shared the same emotion.
Ah well. Even if a person and Pokemon have a strong bond, there will always be that language barrier.
Eventually, the train stopped, which in turn, paused me midthought.
Caleb and his father left as more passengers walked in, taking the empty seats left behind.
A girl about the age of Klark and me was one of the two who took the pair's spot, a Deerling with her. The other passenger to replace the other seat was another young boy who seemed the same as Caleb and with the new passenger was a Skiddo.
Still, I couldn't help but smile at the small family in my head. Is it bad to say I hope the father and son would send me a letter? Best I could do was hope they have a fun time in Alola.
"Bye!" Caleb waved, as he and his dad walked out. Klark and I gave our goodbyes to the pair too while the Shuppet and Misdreavus used the puppets to express their sadness.
To be real, these guys actually made me look forward to going to Johto. Maybe I could really become a better person...
"Skid!" And so it seems I've been brought back to reality. With a lick. Noticing the kid and Skiddo in front of me, my smile didn't unwaver... Huh. "Hello," I responded, wiping the slobber off my face.
"Uh, hi." While they were the same age group, This boy was obviously different from Caleb with his introduction. My eyes narrowed. Wait, shouldn't this kid be with someone? What was he doing here?
Before I could ask, the kid realized what was happening. "D-d-don't worry! I'm with her! See mister?" He pointed a thumb behind him at the Deerling and girl, red from his stammering. So she was taking care of him.
"I see," I said, hand on my chin, smile back.
"Uh huh. A-and ssssorry about that-t-t."
"Don't worry about it!" A voice said that at the same time as I. I kinda forgot Klark was here to be honest and it seems that the boy didn't notice him. He was a sweating mess now, in an effort to push the Skiddo away from us. "Ssssssorry." He apologized again. "Skiddo's excited to meet your Pokemon."
Klark chuckled. "I don't mind. My Pokemon like to meet new friends! Isn't that right, every-"
None of the trainer's three Pokemon were out. "Oh yeah, I forgot I put them back in their balls when Caleb left." Klark turned his head back towards the kid. "Did you see my Pokemon when you walked in?"
A head shake.
I was beginning to grow confused too. I didn't have a Pokemon and if this kid didn't see Klark's Pokemon...
"Maybe Skiddo saw a different Pokemon?" The trainer brought up. The boy shook his head again, his redness not changing. "Um, there's a Buizel you guys have that Skiddo wants to talk to."
The two of us went silent. Did I hear that right? A Buizel, with us. Taking a quick look at my left was... the Sea Weasel Pokemon... snoozing like nothing happened.
'What was I doing here?' That was my first thought. The subway was crowded, filled with people and Pokemon that awaited their destination. The more wealthy people had their Pokemon pampered, some whose kids spoiled the creatures with treats, brushes, and pets. Most of those people would have a cute or elegant Pokemon like Furfrou or Glameow. The majority however, ended up being Eevee and its evolutions, specifically Espeon, Umbreon, and Sylveon taking the spotlight.
As disappointed as I was, it wasn't a surprise seeing them have such Pokemon, albeit it would have been nice to see a Granbull or Muk. Why not, I'd take a chance to see one with a Diggersby at this point.
Arceus, why was I getting worked up thinking about others and their Pokemon? Everyone's going to leave at some point. Besides, it was none of my business to care. I might as well go to sleep until my stop comes.
Closing my eyes, I was immediately interrupted. From my attempt to rest, something shook me back and forth. "Are you awake, miss?" They asked, still rocking me back and forth.
"Yes."
I opened my eyes, annoyed. The person that decided to talk to me of all others in this train was a kid. "Awesome." The kid's eyes shined, taking a seat next to me. Great. "Where are you going?" He asked. 'Can I see your Pokemon?' 'What do you do?' 'Wanna play?'
This kid was really talkative. I wonder when he'd give up.
"Can you hear me?" The boy asked once more. He was met with the silent treatment. "Oh well." That was easy.
"I guess I should tell you about myself instead."
Excuse me?
"My name is Caleb and I'm going on vacation!" The twerp pointed a finger at a man across us. He was asleep, a Buizel mimicking his action with its head resting on the man's shoulder. "Buizel and my dad were asleep so I got bored," explained Caleb. "We're going to the airport! Do you wanna know where we're traveling?"
I kept quiet.
"The Alola region! And we're going to be at Hano Beach!" Growing excited, his voice became louder. "I can't wait to tell my friends all about it!" Caleb turned to me. "Are you excited about where you're going too?!" He asked.
I gave him the same response. Unfortunately, Caleb repeated the question over and over again, and loud at that too. Other people and Pokemon were starting look at us as the boy continued to ask and while his dad was asleep, the Buizel began to stir.
"Are you? Are yo-"
A paw tapped at the boy's side, halting him. "Buizel..." An orange otter stared wearily. Caleb frowned back. "Come on, Buizel!" He pleaded. "I'm only across you and Dad!" The Pokemon in return, answered with the same unamused face. "Bui." The Buizel complied as it took a seat next to Caleb. However, it seemed as displeased as me.
"So?" Caleb went back to having that sparkle in his eye. I sighed. He was persistent alright so I might as well talk to him. I don't think he would stop anytime soon.
"Yeah," I lied, getting the boy more excited.
"Woah!" He commented. "Where?"
Compared to Caleb, the Buizel didn't share the same interest. It looked to be fully awake now though with its eyes not as heavy as before.
"I'm going to the Johto region to cook." I could see Caleb's excitement disappear into an odd look. "Cook? Really?" He questioned, recieving another pat on the back from Buizel.
I nodded. "Something wrong with that?"
"No, but-" Caleb looked back at the water-type. "Nevermind." He got up from his seat and walked towards his dad, the Buizel following.
That was odd. At least I got some peace and quiet now. Even if the train did stop, it was for a brief moment of silence. Some of the passengers on here began to exit with new ones coming in before the train closed its doors.
Caleb and his dad weren't one of the ones to leave, the Buizel and parent both asleep while the boy drummed on his lap.
I closed my eyes once more to pass time, ignoring the people who picked their seat right beside me. Now to just wait and fall asleep...
"Munna!"
That's fine; I wasn't planning on sleeping anyways.
Opening my eyes again, I glared at the Pokemon...
Alongside the Dream Eater Pokemon was who I assume to be its trainer, a man in a suit. "Hello, sir," he smiled, hugging the Munna. "I'm sorry if we disturbed you."
"It's nothing," I replied sarcastically. Feeling something up the top of my head, I glanced up to find a Misdreavus and Shuppet nibbling on my hair. Great.
"And sorry about them too," the man added. So these three Pokemon were in the hands of this guy, huh?
"It's okay," I answered.
"Would you like to talk?"
He was given another look from me again. "You know what, sure." The shock on his face got me to smirk before he regained his composure.
"If that's fine with you, then let's do it. It'll kill some time." There was that stupid smile again. "Are you okay with my Pokemon being out and about though? Sorry for their rude behavior."
"I'm fine with them." My third lie to this person. "Although you should pay attention to your Munna. It's gone from your arms."
"Oh boy," he responded with a sigh, scratching the top of his head. The man turned to the left of the train and surprise, surprise, in front of us was the Pokemon in question. On the head of a sleeping Buizel, Munna bit. For a while, none of us reacted and I couldn't tell if it made the situation better or worse, but Caleb had fallen asleep before it happened.
"You gonna do something?" I finally asked. It seemed to snap its trainer out of his trance who nodded. "Alright Munna, let's stop eating other passengers' dreams now," he said, a heartiness to his tone, approaching the psychic-type.
His Pokemon however, didn't budge, still happily on the orange otter's head. "Come on, Munna," the trainer repeated, trying to pull his Pokemon off now but to no avail. The pair of ghost Pokemon who played with my hair didn't bother helping the guy. Instead, he got the attention of some passengers here luckily since it was night now. I said "some," so it's not as bad as the amount when Caleb talked to me.
"You can eat my dreams all you want," he offered. Still, the Munna remained stubborn. "Looks like we'll have to go with this..." Reaching into his pocket, the man took out a Poke Ball. "If you don't stop, you're going in your Poke Ball until we get there," he warned.
The Pokemon finally gave in reluctantly as it floated back to its trainer, leaving the Buizel alone...
I rubbed my eyes. That was odd. My vision got blurry so that meant I was getting tired. Finally. Shutting my eyes slowly, I couldn't care about the man talking while his Pokemon refused to stop messing around with my hair.
. . .
"...'ey, wake up." I felt a hand pat on my face. Opening my eyes, I was going to give this guy a pounding for- waking me up... I couldn't believe it. In front of me stood a familiar face. "Come on, Slowpoke," she said.

I am back with writing and while this is my wonkiest writing yet, I am very confident it'll keep improving in the future. Each episode of Poke Stories will be a short one on something and this series will be active up until the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. I think you might be able to tell what this sort of premise is similar to, but enjoy the sloppy pilot. It may return in a future episode. Who knows.
“I’m home!” A boy announced. It was sunset in Jubilife City, the smell of food in the air. “Mmm! What’s for dinner, Dad?!” The kid ran up to his parent. Trying to sneak a peek in, the boy was pulled back. “Thank you, Buizel,” the grown man said. A light laugh emerged from the adult as his son was dragged by the Pokemon. “Buizel…” the orange otter groaned, having to hear the child whine.
“It’s not fair that Dad doesn’t let me in the kitchen,” the boy pouted. Buizel sighed in retaliation. An unimpressed look was on the Pokemon’s face as he walked away from the human and went right back to cleaning instead. The boy watched as Buizel took a broom and began sweeping. “You’re odd,” he commented. Buizel ignored the kid’s words, still sweeping with the broom that was too tall for a normal Pokemon of his size.
* * *
A small table for two was set, the lights in the living room on. It was night now and the father and son were having dinner. “Mm!” The boy happily piped. He was stuffing his mouth full of his dad’s cooking. A bit too excitedly perhaps. Buizel would give him disgusted looks sometimes as the three ate while the dad smiled with a nervous mouth.
“You’re the best cook, Dad!” The boy complimented. He had finished his plate and immediately, Buizel went and grabbed it. The twin-tailed otter set it down in the sink right after, intriguing the boy further. “Dad?” he spoke.
The man already put his dish in the sink. “Yes?” he replied.
“Why is Buizel different?”
“Now what do you mean?” It wasn’t the first time the boy would ask about the Pokemon, but he was more interested about Buizel tonight. Much more than all the other times. “He’s always at home and cleaning,” the boy answered. “But why does he do it?”
“That’s because Buizel wants to stay home.”
“But who would want to clean or stay home? Doesn’t Buizel love to battle more?”
"Nope!" The dad laughed with his answer, which confused the boy.
"But Pokemon love fighting! Don't they?"
The child's parent shook his head once more. "Pokemon are like us," he explained. "They're living beings that are different from one another and not just by species."
"Remember your classmate at school?" The dad asked. The boy nodded.
"He didn't want to have Pokemon battles and still wanted to be with Pokemon. You see where I'm going?"
The kid's eyes widened in response. "I didn't realize that," he said. "But now that makes me wonder, why doesn't Buizel fight or why does he not like fighting?"
"We all have our own stories, son. I'll tell you about Buizel more another time. If you're still interested, that is."
"Come on!"
As the kid was led to the bathroom, he glanced at Buizel once more. The Pokemon was sweeping again, but it made the child smile. 'I'll make the both of you proud!'
For me it’s the Buizel one. I watched Abdallah stream it and the requirements are so unfair. It was one of the few occasions I saw Abdallah get angry.
I don't know how to feel about this. I wasn't trying to rush but it feels very off itself for the very big sendoff into Part 2. Sorry if it sucks, but I'll try much harder in Chapter 13! I have a feeling this is worse than my other series on the wiki, sadly. But hopefully not! Gotta stay confident and not rush! ...which it probably is. Enjoy!
Soft light surrounded the grass and trees in the shadowed forest. For a forest, this one was quite big, especially for one that was between Lylow City and the city right after, Shizeville City, notorious for how quick it is to get from one to the other by forest.
It was the first day of the camping trip as the class walked through the forest. Some students didn’t come, ditching the trip instead, but most of the class were here.
It was a vast change in setting, this time with lots of Pokemon peacefully living inside the forest, minding their own business. Most consisted of bug and flying type Pokemon, but there were some uncommon types like fairy or fire.
“Now remember, this is supposed to help you get ready for the trainer’s test by the end of the year!” Gus reminded, aloud. It was rare for Gus to act serious, considering his track record of being serious and goofy. The group came to a sudden halt. “Paul! Gus!” Professor Lazeli called out. The two mentioned threw the Pokeballs in the air, setting free their Pokemon.
A Trumbeak, Buizel, and Shinx all appeared in the group now. “Now everyone, watch closely how quickly they get ready for camp!”
Trumbeak used Fury Attack at a tree, striking it quickly over and over, while Paul caught whatever fell into a small basket he had on his back as he collected any berries that missed at a rapid pace.
On the other side, Gus shoulder bashed a different tree, Shinx running off ahead to get berries, and Buizel throwing any stick or berries onto Gus’ basket.
“Stop!” Ordered the teacher. Paul and Gus paused in their actions, Professor Lazeli following up on his order. “Now,” he started. “What did they do?” The professor awaited for a student to raise their hand. “Jason!”
The student put his hand down. “They got materials quickly!”
“Good. Now, while setting up camp like this is fast and efficient, it is also dangerous.”
Professor Lazeli grew serious. “If you do this without being experienced, what will happen?”
The same student, Jason, put his hand up in the air once more. Not a single other raised an arm high. “If that’s the case, then we’ll have three students give an answer at random. Paul, Gus, please go ahead.”
The same older duo nodded simultaneously, their Pokemon running off to the group of students. Trumbeak landed on a girl’s beret, a scream eliciting for the poor bird to hear. Buizel, on the other hand, used a light water gun on Samantha, and Shinx ran up to Ryan.
“And it seems that they are finished!” the professor mentioned. “Let’s start it off in order of which Pokemon went to who. Patricia! Why is it dangerous to prep camp fast?!”
“Me?!” The beret wearer exclaimed. “Uh, I don’t know! I just want this Pokemon off me!”
“We’ll get back to you later. How about you, Samantha?”
“Because we can get into a fight?” Samantha spoke so softly with her answer as Professor Lazeli was taken aback by it. “Well, you are right, Samantha! Good job!”
The professor applauded gleefully, clapping his hands while the Pokemon went back to their trainers. “You’ll be doing what Paul and Gus just did in groups of three! It will only happen at sunset though, each day! In the meantime before sunset, you go on by yourselves with the assignment in hand!”
Professor Lazeli pointed a finger right in front of the group. “You’re first assignment, catch yourselves a Pokemon! You have until sunset!”
Paul and Gus approached the students, giving each and every one of them a piece of paper with a number on it. “Your partner is who you share numbers with!” Paul explained. “Now let’s get a move on!” shouted Gus. The group scrambled, the clustered students moving around, finding their partners as it shrank. Small groups left the circle quickly on their search for Pokemon in this forest, one by one, right after another, until only three students were left; Ryan, Kyle, and Samantha.
“Oh,” said Kyle. “Oh…” Ryan grumbled. After that event, there was still tension when Samantha was around the boys. “Let’s go catch ourselves some Pokemon!” Kyle said nervously. “I bet we can find some new members for our teams with what we catch!” He ran off ahead, Eevee tracing his steps. Hopefully Samantha would get along with them in this assignment. “Oh, you’re on!” Ryan shouted back, excitedly. “Let’s do this, Froakie!”
Differently from the other two, Samantha sat down under a tree instead of run. Pop! Shellder, out of its Pokeball, went up to the girl. It had been a long while since the Pokemon was let out, but it still stayed by Samantha, even after the event. “You still like me as your trainer…?” Samantha asked. She was stupefied by this act. “After I’ve done all this, yet…” The girl looked at the Pokeball again. Smashed and cracked, many pieces having chipped away.
She began to well up in tears, hugging the shelled Pokemon. “I don’t deserve you…” Shellder, clueless, stayed still as it looked at Samantha with its derpy expression. However, there was a feeling that they were being watched. Shellder had to be in high-alert.
* * *
Kyle and Eevee were ahead of Ryan and Froakie now, finding a pond. "Looks like Ryan's a bit slow! Let's catch ourself a Pokemon, Eevee!" "Eevee!"
* * *
"Hey, Kyle!" Ryan yelled. "I finally caught-" He abruptly stopped midway through his sentence. "Where did you go?" Ryan turned his head from side to side. "Samantha's gone too?!"
"Fro…"
"Don't worry, bud," Ryan pat the frog's head. I think they're both fine, so let's head back to camp. It looks like sunset is about to happen soon."
Ryan stood up, dusting himself off the leaves given to him by the Pokemon he caught. 'Please be there." Ryan's steps were fast and hurried, the boy making his trek back to camp.
As Ryan neared the camp, he recognized someone under the tree. Samantha sat quietly, a PokeBall in her hand, the other petting Shellder.
'Huh?' Ryan had to run his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things. Lol and behold, Samantha was being kind to Shellder. Could she be different now? Ryan didn't was curious, yet at the same time, he couldn't believe it. Maybe he should talk to Samantha, person-to-person, later.
Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Stepping right into camp, Ryan then noticed the time. The sky was pitch black, only theoon and stars shining. It was night already on his return! Where was Kyle and Eevee? Ryan searched the whole camp frantically. It wasn't like Ryan to get this worried, nor was it like Kyle to not come back in time. Did something happen?
"Professor Lazeli?" Ryan overheard. The person was Jason. "Oh! What is it, Jason?" The professor asked.
"Everyone is back, but Kyle."
"...What?"
"I know! We don't know where he is!"
"Oh this is bad! Don't do anything! Everyone will stay put and Gus will be in charge while we find Kyle! Make sure no one leaves camp!"
"Okay!"
Ryan stayed still, nerved. Kyle isn't back in camp and Professor Lazeli was going to search for him. And to top it all off, no one can leave to help search for him. 'What are you doing, Kyle?' Ryan thought, hearing Professor Lazeli's footsteps fade deeper into the forest.
And here is the end of Part 1! I'm going to try and change up the pace a bit and hopefully you like it. I also forgot to mention in the previous chapter that I was experimenting dialogue between Pokemon in case whether y'all like it or not.
The series will also go on break as I'm editing my main project and I'm working on a 2nd big thing. I will be working hard on Part 2. It will be much different than Part 1 in execution so please enjoy and wait for it!
Pop
A Shinx and a Buizel were in a classroom, this one different from the last as the teenage girl wasn’t present. The Buizel looked around, confused in the empty room, before seeing Shinx. The electric type looked like he was about to cry, keeping an angry face as he tried to fight back tears.
“What happened, Shinx?” asked Buizel. “N-nothing…” It was an obvious lie from what Shinx’s face showed. “Come on,” said Buizel. They turned around to show their back.
“Remember, this?” Buizel pointed at a specific spot on their back. It was a wacan berry hanging from behind their two oval patterned back. “We’re bros and we stick together.” Buizel said calmly. “You gave me this wacan berry in case I got into trouble.”
“But-” Shinx began before getting interrupted. "No buts!" Buizel interrupted.
"Who was the one that got captured?!"
"You…" answered Shinx.
"And was I hurt when he caught me?!"
"No…"
Buizel sighed, hoping it worked. He wasn't good at cheering up others compared to his friend. "You can cry on me if you want," said Buizel. "You've had a lot on your plate."
As Buizel sat down, he felt a force hit him from behind before he could turn around. Shinx sobbed, covering his face on Buizel's back. 'Let it all out, bud.' Buizel wasn't even concerned at all about the secret that Shinx could find out by his back, sitting still to comfort him.
A click was made again. Buizel caught on, nervously with the crying Shinx who ignored it. "I found Shinx!" shouted Ryan. Paul was close by, Trumbeak already out of its Pokeball, and Gus came running by.
"You found him?!" Gus yelled from across the hall. They had the pair cornered now, despite the type disadvantage. "Bui…" The Buizel growled quietly, turning around to stroke Shinx's head to distract him. "Shinx! Did you miss me-EEE?!" Gus was met with a Water Gun to the face, getting Shinx's attention who glared at him.
"Huh? Why are you so upset?" Gus asked cluelessly, seeing the tears on his Pokemon's face now. "Shinx!" He marked his frustration at the trainer.
"Do you remember doing anything that upset him?" asked Paul.
"I don't know, I just caught this Buizel and then- oh, I get it now…"
Gus reached a hand out to pet Shinx, only to be met with Buizel standing in between them. "What…?" Shinx quietly spoke. Something was different about Buizel's back. The second oval was smudged now.
Buizel turned around. He was about to use Sand Attack. As the otter's tails began to propel, Paul spotted the back. "That's not a pattern you see on a Buizel," he murmured. "Trumbeak, use Peck!"
Trumbeak followed the command right away, flying straight at Buizel with Peck and easily knocking the Pokemon over. Paul looked over to Ryan. "You do the next one."
"Got it," replied Ryan. "Froakie, use Bubble!" It wasn't a very effective move as Buizel was a water type, but Froakie knew what Paul meant, compared to Ryan, the bubbles flying towards the downed Buizel.
And pop, pop, pop they went. The Buizel's second oval looked more different than before. Shinx nervously padded at Buizel's weird oval, seeing it disappear the more he touched it. "Huh?!" Gus and Shinx shouted at the same time, although Shinx's came out as a "Shinx?!"
The oval was a fake, with only one oval left on the Buizel who stood up, slowly from the hit. "Bui?" It said, unknowing of what happened. "Why did that Buizel have paint on it's back?" asked Ryan. He didn't know much about Pokemon, obviously being 10 years old.
"It seems that our Buizel friend here made itself seem like a boy," said Paul. "Bui?!" The Buizel challenged, turning around to show it's back, pointing at it confidently with one paw. There was just a singular oval on the back of the otter.
"Here's a quick lesson on telling the difference between Buizels," Paul began. "Male Buizels have two ovals on their backs while female Buizels have just one. This Buizel right here has just one."
"So that means-" said Ryan. The Buizel, now hit with the sudden realization, scurried off to a corner of the classroom in shame. Shinx followed right away. "So-" Shinx started. "Don't say anything," Buizel interrupted, face covered in her paws.
"Well, that was something" Gus commented, getting both Pokeballs as he returned the Pokemon back inside them. The blonde teen sighed, looking at the Pokeballs, putting them onto his belt and whistling as he walked out of the classroom. "Sorry about that, Trumbeak," said Paul. He pet the big bird's head, muttering something about the Pokemon League.
Ryan thought deeply about all this all on their way to the classroom. Would he be allowed to enter the Pokemon League in Gerros? Would he be catching new Pokemon to be part of his team? Could he win the league with Froakie? It was the main reason Ryan decided to become a trainer, to follow his brother and parents on becoming the very best.

Elsewhere, Kyle wandered through the library in search of Shinx. He decided to split up from the group in order to make it easier for them to find him. Unfortunately, that meant he wasn’t aware that the others already found the Pokemon.
In the library, students were reading books, working on assignments, or even sleeping with their Pokemon as Kyle and Eevee checked aisle to aisle. Some notable things on the inspection was one student sleeping with their head on a Bidoof who shared the same action, a student that was reading a book very excitedly, and one that took notes with an Espurr standing by.
“Still can’t find Shinx, huh…” Kyle whispered. “Eevee…” Eevee acknowledged, sadly. “Well, let’s go back and regroup. Maybe they already found Shinx.” And so the two made their way out of the library, but Kyle stopped. “Hm?” Eevee cocked her head, curious to know why the trainer stopped.
“I can’t wait for the Pokemon League!” A voice spoke from the other side. They were excited, despite sounding quiet in a place where silence is preferred. “I know, right?! And this time, I’m going to beat you for a spot there!” Another said.
‘Pokemon League?’ Kyle thought. He knew of the tournament, yet he didn’t pay attention to it as it seemed pointless. That was until Kyle got Eevee, along with the way his parents are.
“We’ll see about that! We have to train hard if we wanna make it to the league!”
Kyle walked away from the conversation, exiting the library with Eevee. “Eevee?” Kyle began. “Vee?” Eevee responded, awaiting Kyle’s sentence.
“What do you think about fighting other Pokemon?”
That was a blunt question, making the air around the two weird. “Eevee…” Eevee answered, looking down.
Eevee definitely disliked that by the way she reacted. “I see, then. Don’t worry about it.” Kyle pet Eevee’s head reassuringly to calm the Pokemon down. ‘You’re lucky to have a choice… I don’t have them…’
We are nearing the end of Part 1 in this series! Enjoy and sorry for the late update!
“Hey!” Kyle ran up to Ryan. “Oh, hi, Kyle!” Ryan greeted back. “Fro’!” Froakie said hello too. Kyle was rather different today, surprisingly unexpected after yesterday. The boy was in a good mood, smiles and all. Could it have been Eevee?
Ryan also noticed that Eevee was acting differently today too. She wasn’t that timid anymore and didn’t seem uncomfortable around Kyle, being right beside him. “You’re both friends now?!” Ryan gushed.
“Yep!” answered Kyle. Eevee nodded. “Vee!” Eevee didn’t cower in front of Froakie either. “Well, let’s get going!” Ryan announced, moving again as the two walked to school.
“Wait…” Kyle muttered. There was something in the distance in front of the Trainers’ School, or two things rather. One figure was holding another up triumphantly. As the kids neared the school, the image became more clear. It was Gus, all scratched up, holding a Shinx in the air. An angry Shinx.
“Shiiii…” It growled. The Pokemon’s back leg paws were all black, signifying that it was a boy. What he also signified was an attack, charging up electricity around his body before…
“AAAGH!” Gus screamed as he was shocked by the Shinx. It was Spark and the attack finished in a flash. Zap! Just like that. “I-I’m fine…” said Gus with a weak smile and cough.
“Why do you do this, Gus?” asked Paul. He was behind Gus and walking towards him. “What do you mean, ‘why’?!” Gus turned around to face Paul happily. “I finally got my very first Pokemon!”
“Yeah, and you almost died getting it.”
Paul glanced over Gus’ shoulder for a moment, seeing the two boys run up. “And I think you got an audience.”
“Huh? Oh hey gu-UYS!”
The sight wasn’t pleasant to be around at all. Kyle and Eevee looked at him, concerned about the shock. “Are you al-” Ryan said loudly. He was interrupted by the Shinx’s growling as electricity surrounded it again.
Zap
And what do you know, Gus was electrocuted again. “-alright…” The blonde boy had collapsed onto the ground now, passed out and having lost hold of the Shinx, which ran off inside the building. “Oh dear,” muttered Paul. He picked up the Pokeball beside Gus.
“You two just go to class. I’ll handle this,” he ordered, lifting up Gus by the arm as he made his way to the nurse’s office. “We can help too!” shouted Ryan. The boy ran up to him. “Yeah,” Kyle chimed. “It’ll be easier that wa-”
“I got it!” It was Gus now. He spoke with lots of energy, despite being the main victim of two attacks. “It’s my Pokemon so it’s my responsibility!”
“Well, you might want to change how you handle it. Your very first Pokemon just ran off.”
“But the way I caught it was cool!”
“No, it was idiotic. You don’t go face to face with a Pokemon to try and catch it. You didn’t even accept the egg, which is why you got this runaway Shinx so late.”
* * *
Somewhere else inside the school, a Shinx entered a classroom nonchalantly. “I’m back,” he announced. “Trying to sound cool there, huh?” The voice belonged to a Buizel.
“Come on! You know how cool that was!” The Shinx whined. He only received laughter from the Buizel, who came up and sat beside him. “Don’t worry, bud. You were cool.” The two relaxed for a bit and then the Buizel spoke once more. “What took you so long to get here?”
The Shinx sighed before giving his answer. “I got caught and now I’m someone’s Pokemon,” he said. “An idiotic one…” The little lion’s tail flicked back and forth as he was reminded of the person. “Well that sucks,” the Buizel commented. Bowls were placed in front of the two.
“Here you go,” said a voice. It was a human girl. Her brown hair was short and messy compared to the “normal” teenage girl and the girl’s expression clearly showed it all. She was tired.
“Don’t know what conversation you two are having,” she yawned. “But enjoy.” The teenager went to a chair, falling asleep almost immediately as the Buizel and Shinx continued their conversation.
“So-” Shinx began.
Bam
“Finally found ya!” Gus slammed the door open, seeing the Buizel with Shinx. “And ya found a Buizel, too! Nice job!”
Gus readied a Pokeball, preparing to throw it and… “Oof!” The trainer grunted. Shinx tackled him, but Gus threw the Pokeball at the Buizel right before it happened.
The Buizel tried to dodge, but it was a bit late. The capsule hit it, capturing the otter in a red light before landing. One wiggle. Two wiggles. Three wiggles. Click
Shinx looked at the ball, dumbfounded while Gus cheered. “We did it, Shinx! We got a new mem-OOF!” Gus was hit by another Spark from the Shinx, the small lion grabbing the Pokeball by its mouth and running off.
“What the- Hey! Come back!” Gus went after his Pokemon again, leaving the room. From it all, the girl didn’t wake up, surprisingly enough, sleeping peacefully and unaware of what happened.
First time being here
Better proportions than the first time I drew this pokemon
Had to take a screenshot instead because I was dumb and made the canvas too big
Dear Readers,
I was playing Pokemon Platinum on a DS Emulator(I paid for the ROM). I reached Floaroma City and found a lvl.11 Buizel at Valley Windworks. I got it to lvl. 16. But now I'm doubting my training this Pokemon. Next up is Eterna City, which has a Grass Type Gym. Now I won't use Buizel there. But is Buizel really worth training and evolving it into Floatzel? I picked Chimchar as my starter and I don't have any other Water type Pokemon except Shellos. Please place your opinion.
Thanks
Your Illusionist, Zoroark
P.S. Can you catch Gastly with "Net Ball"? I can't catch it with Poke Ball or Heal Ball.
