Ability: Water Absorb or Earth Eater

Dex Entry 1: This Pokémon used to run with Wyrdeers and Stantlers before they were hunted to 'Extinction' for their venom glands, the reason why is speculated to be because their venom is very good at being an anti venom.

Dex Entry 2: This Pokémon loves being around all people and Pokémon even if a Garchomp and Charizard are staring it down it will fly up and pat their heads.

Dex Entry 3: A rumor stated that a Honeedart once stood between Groudon and Kyogre and neither would approach the other not even willing to use their moves on the other, though this could be 100% fake since there not that strong in most fights

So ive been doing some thinking and ive seen that there are some existing pokemon who would match the unused type combos as of generation 9. so here they are:

Bug-Dragon - Armaldo (if it wasnt a fossil) and Slither Wing

Normal-Steel - Klink line

Normal-Rock - the most popular (and logical) choice is lycanroc

Normal-Ice - Cubchoo, Eiscue,Vanilite

Normal-Bug - Tarountula

Ground-Fairy - i dont really know for this but ive seen Phanpy maybe?

Fire-Fairy - this is hard maybe Delphox??? i dont agree with it bc its a witch and literally has psychic powers but i have no other ideas

Rock-Ghost - Sableye i mean, it lives in a cave which is made of ROCK it has ROCKS for eyes and when it mega evolves, it cuddles a giant ROCK. Also, Runerigus, greavard etc. (gamefreak are allergic to this typing it couldve been put on so many pokemon but no)

Ice-Poison - another hard one; the only one i saw was Hisuian sneasel and sneasler but even theyre a bit of a stretch

Magbulb (Maggot+Bulb) The Flash Pokémon, A Bug/Normal Type

Pokedex:The clear through sac on their body glows bright enough that it can be seen from 20 miles away. They raid grain silos in swarms, leading to farmers considering them pests.

Ability: Illuminate

Hidden Ability:N/A

Origin: Magbulb is based on the larva state of a weevil. It’s luminescent aspects blah come from glow worms and lightbulbs (It’s body kinda looks like a bulb)

At Lvl 6 it evolves into…………..

Coconter (Cocoon+Lantern) The Glow Pokémon, A Bug/Normal type.

Pokedex: They absorb light to gain energy for evolution, Some trainers use Cocoonter to guide themselves during the night, this upsets the cocoonter howerver.

Ability: Illuminate

Hidden Ability: N/A

Origin: Cocoonter is based on the pupa stage of a weevil. It may also be based on lanterns.

At level 31 when knowing the move Flash evolves into……….

Altoweevil (Alto”Spanish for Tall”+Tower+Weevil) The Gleam Pokémon. A Bug/Fairy type

Pokedex: They lurk in dark forest, luring prey with its glowing lights. It despise those that try to climb its neck and will respond by tossing them to the ground before violently stomping them out. Their lights cause plants to grow faster, leading farmers to adore these Pokémon.

Ability: Illuminate

Hidden Ability: Sheer Force

Origin: Altoweevil is based on weevils, specifically the giraffe weevil. It also it based on sky scrapers(The one I had in mind when making it was the Burj Khalifa). It’s fairy typing may come from fairy lights

I won’t say much, but ally you need to know for now is that they are one of two Route 1 bugs

Ghastogre (Bug/Dark) (worried it looks to much like scolipede)

I know i said slither wing should be the first Bug-dragon type but i just realised Armaldo was right there in my face! Don’t you think the bug and dragon combo go together so perfectly in Armaldo’s design? I think Armaldo is one of those ‘mon who gets overlooked so a unique typing would defo make it stand out

Last Time on Pokemon Typer

I have been told that those ruffians from before are causing trouble at the Castle of Chivalry. I hoped that this time, I would teach these guys a lesson that only Gnatdett could teach, but someone wearing armor on the upper half of his body with a cape had already dispatched them. And he was not alone. Akari and Lena were next to him.

Armor Guy: "Hahaha! Fair Citizens! These criminals will not harass you anymore. Thanks to... Daedalus, full-time Superhero!"

Lena: "Thank you, sir, and those powers of yours. You are a Typer like Akari."

Daedalus: "I am indeed, Miss."

Akari: "A superhero? Then surely you will help us with a crisis after this competition back in our home region."

Daedalus: "A crisis, you say. If people need my help, then you can count on me!"

Beckett (Walking towards the group): "Be careful when strangers ask you to go to another location."

Lena: "OH! Akari. Akari! AKARI!!! IT'S GNATDETT!"

Akari: "Yes, but we discussed this. It's Beckett...you know, the Bug Typer. We saw Gnatdett with his wings fly during The Champion's announcement."

Lena: "Right, right...Of course...But it is still GNATDEEETTT! Can you please sign my badge case?"

Beckett (Pulling a pen out of his vest): "S-sure."

Akari: "What are you doing here? Did your new master want to add more Typers to her collections?"

Beckett: "Nope. I came because I heard those meanies were causing trouble again. But luckily, this super-duper superhero saved the day. Yay!"

Akari: "I still owe you for what you did last time."

Daedalus: "Hold it! That thug's Drowzee poisoned you from before. You are playing tough, but you should rest and get an antidote. Let me handle this."

Akari: "But..."

Daedalus: "So, did you do any harm to these fine ladies?"

Beckett: "They are big meanies. They dragged me out of my home and tried to catch me in a Type Ball."

Lena: "I am still sorry about that. You were our first one. So, we got things out of hand by mistake. But you entrapped us in amber, and it took a long time to get out."

Daedalus: "She apologized. Maybe you should do the same."

Beckett (Coughing the mites out his throat): "I am not apologizing. They made me flee my home. They are lucky I did nothing else when I trapped them."

Daedalus: "Apologize."

Beckett: "No."

Daedalus wants to battle!

• Daedalus activated Ability Mode: Talon Out.

• Beckett activated Attack Mode: Threatening Wing = It's Super Effective!

Daedalus: "Ak! What was that? You're a Bug Type, and I am a Flying Type."

Beckett: "My attack is strong against flying types."

Daedalus: "That is very petty."

Beckett: "Read a Biology book. It is legit."

• Daedalus used Punch = 9 HP of Damage.

• Beckett used Slap = 5 HP of Damage.

• Daedalus used Punch = 8 HP of Damage.

• Beckett activated Ability Mode: Skin Crawl.

Daedalus: "Now it's my turn."

• Daedalus activated Attack Mode: Overtop = It's Super Effective!

• Beckett used Punch = 7 HP of Damage.

• Daedalus used Kick = 10 HP of Damage. Daedalus gets infested.

• Beckett used Slap = 4 HP of Damage.

• Daedalus takes 7 HP of Damage from Skin Crawl.

• Daedalus activated Status Mode: New Heights.

Beckett: "Whoa! Now the Flying Type is actually flying."

Daedalus: "On top of that, my speed is also increased.

Beckett: "You are already faster than me. You are just rubbing it in now."

• Beckett activated Attack Mode: Threatening Wing- Twineedle Variation = 10 and 12 HP of Damage. Daedalus is Poisoned.

• Daedalus takes 7 HP of Damage from Skin Crawl.

Daedalus: "This isn't good for our hero...but when he is almost down, HE RISES EVEN HIGHER!"

• Daedalus used Aeiral Punch= 16 HP of Damage.

Beckett: "Achie!"

Daedalus: "Like that? I have spent two months mastering the art of Aerial combat. And thanks to my ability, my fighting skill still gets a boost when fighting in the air."

Beckett: "But look at yourself. You almost pooped, and with mites and poison attacking you, too, you are going to drop. Maybe we should stop. I will apologize if you want."

Daedalus: "That...would be...nice. I concede then."

Daedalus Surrendered, Beckett Wins

Beckett: "I am really sorry for what I did before. I hope to see you at the end of the competition. Don't get poisoned along the way."

Lena: "Apology Accepted! Can I take a picture of you? Akari, take the shot."

Akari: "Sigh...yes, Mistress."

Lena: “Get in on this, Daedalus!”

Daedalus: “Sure thing.”

Akari: “Sigh…”

Flying Typer Daedalus, The Hi-Flying Hero Pokémon

One of the noblest Flying-Type Pokémon, Daedalus, will stop at nothing to defend those who can not protect themselves. With its mastery over the wind, This warrior will send his enemies up the air and let them fall to their defeat.

ModeDex

Ability Mode: Talon Out- Powers up Fire-type moves when the Pokémon's HP is low. (It's Blaze, Overgrow, etc.)

Attack Mode: Overtop- The user, Daedalus, blasts the target straight up and lets them hit the ground. The heavier the target, the greater the move's power.

Status Mode: New Heights- The user, Daedalus, enhances himself or an ally with wind power. The target levitates for three turns, and if they are flying type, they increase their speed by one stage.

Attack Mode: Threatening Wing- Twineedle

1. Attack twice. The target may be poisoned.

In this post, I'll spitball ideas for a potential Bug/Normal type.

If anyone wants to draw it, then please, be my guest.

SnakeFlye

As the name suggests, this Pokemon is based on the Snakefly. Not the most original name, I know, but Pokemon has had some stinkers even recently (i'm looking at you Flamigo).

This Pokemon will have a long, slender, snakelike body, with wings all down the back of it. Big bug eyes, like Butterfree, with a stinger at the end, similar to Beedrill.

Any other features can be added as you wish, if you choose to draw it

Last Time on Pokémon Typers

Beckett (Running for his life): "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

It took only a day, and I am being chased by some rich snot on a blimp on Route 22. The worst part is that they keep chucking tons of Pokémon down at me.

????: "Hahaha! You cannot escape from me, Toby the Zookeeper. When word got out about a guy with bug wings running around here, I got to get my zoo all the way here from Kanto."

If that's true, how did he get here so fast? I guess that this is not the best time to question that since I got a herd of Donphans, Farigirafs, and Zebstrikas before me. I used my Attack Mode: Threatening Wing to fly over them, but I was almost hit by some of those Poké Balls that Lena used before.

Beckett: "Seeing all these Pokémon would be so cool if I wasn't going to join them."

Toby: "Relax, My Buggy Friend. At my zoo, you will be a star attraction. People from all over the world will cheer and admire you. You can spend your days in comfort."

Beckett (Slowing down a bit): "Really? Wait! Wait. No. What you and others are doing is wrong. Where is the humanity in this?"

Toby: "Hoho, my friend. You're technically not even human.

I paused in shock while midair from that comment.

Toby: "Researchers had said that you Typers are now closer to Pokémon than us Humans. And I already have these Type Balls, so give up."

Toby fired more Type Balls, so I kept flying until my move's time was up. I will have to hoove it for a few seconds before I can take off again.

Toby: "I should introduce you to the one you will replace. He is very mad, but I don't care. Here comes Zane, the Pyroar, and his lovely harem."

Several PokéBall flew over me, and when they landed, released a fierce, Shiny Male Pyroar and a squad of female Pyroars. All of them are Fire/Normal Types, and I am a Bug Type. I can see the envy in his eyes. It was so fierce that it actually manifested as flames. He and his harem launched Burning Jealousy. I frantically rolled to the side.

Toby: "Eh! Be careful! I don't want my new star to be extra crispy...Huh?"

I managed to dodge the attack with only my shoes burned.

Beckett: "Owowowow!"

The Pyroar was about to use his Burning Jealousy again, but I activated my Status Mode: Encasing Amber. I fired resin at Pyroar and his squad on them. They couldn't use that move anymore. I quickly ran by them while they were trying to fire again.

Toby: "Nonononono! Don't let him get away!"

The Pyroars turned around and were about to use Crunch before a blast of intensely cold air struck all of them. The blimp was also hit, and the windows were covered with ice.

Toby: "Gah! What's going on?"

Under the cover of the frosty wind, the Pyroar was not finished with me. It tried a Fire Fang before someone got in his way. After a brilliant purplish glow, the Pyroar was knocked away and then got confused. The mystery person grabbed and carried me away.

????: "Don't worry, bro. I am a friend."

I am a little bit exhausted with everyone trying to take me somewhere. But I would instead be grabbed by a "Friend" rather than a Zookeeper. The stranger ran into The Giant Chasm. I panicked because of all the stories my town had about it. Inside, the stranger put me down, and I got a good look at my rescuer. She was about seven or eight feet tall, with scraggly silver hair.

????: "Hawha! Dude, that was a close one, eh?"

Beckett: "Ummm, thank you. Why did you save me?"

????: "Because I am one of them Typers like you. I had to use my Draco Whim Attack to get that big cat away from you. The name's Jara the Dragon Typer."

Beckett: "Beckett. Bug Typer."

Jara: "And this is my friend who helped out."

I heard several stomps as the air got cooler. Soon, a very terrifying Dragon Pokémon arrived.

Jara: "This is Kyurem."

Beckett: "Wait. The Kyurem."

Jara: "Yeah, I know they seem...menacing, but as long as you are with me, they should not bother you."

Beckett: "So, do you live here with Kyurem?"

Jara: "Yep. I used to live in Castelia City about a month ago before this very surreal crystal from the heavens struck me on my left arm and left me this dragon mark. After that, I felt Kyurem's cries of loneliness and emptiness and moved here to help them."

Beckett: "Huh..."

Jara: "It is soooo cool to meet another Typer. And I am glad I did. That guy back there was trying to capture you."

Beckett: "He wasn't the first, and you are not the first Typer I met. I fought a Normal Typer...I know the idea of a "Normal" Typer sounds weird."

Jara: "Super Weird. Where are you going, anyway?"

Beckett: "Don't know. I just started my journey of...Fugitiveness."

Jara: "You can stay with us until you know where you are going."

Kyurem snarled with disapproval.

Beckett: "Ummm...Sure."

Jara: "Alright, Dude. Welcome to our Casa."

ModeDex:

Status Mode: Encasing Amber- The User, Beckett, fires a special resin that hardens and disables the target's last move. The target's speed is decreased by one stage until the user can use their move again. (It's a Jurassic Park Reference.)

Attack Mode: Draco Whim- The User, Jara, strikes with an unpredictable attack, bursting with chaotic dragon energy. This move inflicts physical or special damage, whichever will be more effective. This may also confuse the target. (This is the Dragon-type version of Shell Side Arm. In some stories, dragons are seen as creatures beyond human understanding. Their actions are seen as random, and their arrival is often unclear. Also, we need more moves with the word Draco in them.)

Last Time on Pokémon Typers

A month ago, I was just Beckett, 20 years old, single, and trying to make it into show business at Pokéstar Studios, but then something hit me in the back of the neck. I slammed my head on a camera and got a concussion. I missed my audition and my chance at stardom. But it is not all bad. I still have my old job, everything. I do odd jobs around my hometown of Lacunosa Town.

One day, I heard a knock on my door and checked on who it was. It was two women. One looks young, with long, curly strawberry blonde hair and fair skin. The other was older, with straight black hair and an outfit that made her look like a bounty hunter.

Beckett: "Y-yes."

Young Lady: "Good day, Sir. My name is Lena, and this is my...associate, Akari."

Beckett: "Do you need any..."

Lena was staring at me. It was getting somewhat creepy.

Lena: "There is no mistaking it. You are a Typer."

Beckett: "Shush Shush Shush! Please don't say it so loud. You want the neighbors to hear. How did you...?"

Lena: "It is a talent of mine that has been passed down in my family in Orre. I can see unique auras, and you have the sickening green one.

Akari went up to me and lifted my head with her hand.

Akari: "Mistress, look. The mark of the Bug Type is on his neck."

Beckett (Slapping Akari's hand away): "H-hey! That is rude."

Akari glared at me with violent intent.

Lena: "You will have to excuse her. She can be a bit blunt. I will need you to come with us."

Beckett: "What for?"

Lena: "I am trying to find all The Typers before anyone else does."

Beckett: "I was perfectly fine until you found me. Now, I will have to ask you to leave."

Before I could shut the door completely, Akari stopped with her foot.

Lena: "Sigh...I knew my first one would be difficult. Akari..."

Akari: "As you wish, Mistress."

Akari pushed the door away and grabbed me by my shirt. She dragged me outside and threw me on the ground.

???? Akari wants to battle!

• Beckett used Punch = 1 HP of Damage.

Akari: "Psh."

Beckett: "Eep!"

• Akari used Attack Mode: Unco Cutter = 20 HP of Damage.

Beckett: "Eaaaah!"

• Beckett Fainted.

???? Akari Wins and Bug Typer Beckett Blacked out

I woke up in a strange place after a big "Bong" sound. It looks nice. A clean bed, a gorgeous bathroom, and a television. I could get used to this. I sat on the bed and thought, where did Akari and Lena go?

Beckett: "Did they bring... me.... here?

"BONG!"

Beckett: "Oh my...!"

I immediately slammed against the wall and started banging rapidly until the room shattered. I was engulfed in a bright light and fell on the ground of my old street. After turning around, I saw a bright bronze PokéBall broken and short-circuiting.

Lena: "Shoot! So close."

Beckett: "Ahee! Iwaaa! D- Did you use a PokéBall on me, A Human? What the Houndoom!?"

Akari (Standing before Lena): "Stand back, Mistress. He is very agitated."

Beckett: "Atipapah! Of course, I am agitated. You sickos just shoved me into a PokéBall like I was a mangy old Patrat."

Lena: "I am sorry, but you would be safer with us."

Beckett: "I was already safe!"

Akari stepped forward.

Beckett: "So, you are a Typer, too."

Akari: "Indeed, I am The Normal Typer."

Beckett: "That means you have the same limits as I do. One Attack. One Status Move. One Ability and you can only use one at a time and have a cooldown. Just like me.

Akari: "Hmph."

Normal Typer Akari wants to battle!

• Beckett used Attack Mode: Threatening Wing = 10 HP of Damage.

• Akari used Attack Mode: Unco Cutter = She Flinched.

• Beckett used Kick= 2 HP of Damage.

• Lena used X Attack on Akari.

Beckett: "Hey! That's cheating. I'm going to bop you so hard."

• Beckett used...

• Akari used Attack Mode: Unco Cutter- Quick Attack Variation = 25 HP of Damage.

• Beckett gave up.

Normal Typer Akari wins, and Bug Typer Beckett loses.

I lay on the ground in defeat. Akari stood over me with more of those energy blades of hers.

Beckett: But how?"

Akari: A true Typer can call upon the power of any move of their type to modify their primary moves. Sure, it has a longer cooldown, but the results are staggering."

Lena (Walking up to Beckett): "We went on the wrong foot, but if you can come with us, I can show you why we should not be enemies."

Akari: "Besides...we have an audience. So, your secret is already out."

I looked around, and she was right. I finally have an audience, but it is for the wrong reason. I have heard that those in the upper class are looking for Typers like me. They even offered a big reward and Pokémon for any information. I can't live here anymore.

Beckett: "Hehe. Bravo. It's time for me to...Bug Out."

Akari went up to grab my shoulder, and I used my Ability Mode: Skin Crawl. Immediately, she was set upon by tiny mites. Akari let go, and I made my exit. I ran past the onlookers; I needed to get out of there. It's a good thing I have my wallet with me.

Next Time on Pokemon Typers- Ep.2: (Face The Zoo on) Route 22

ModeDex:

Attack Mode: Unco Cutter- The User, Akari, generates energy blades to slash her opponents. This move's power will be increased by 50% if the user has less than or equal to ⅓ of her maximum HP remaining. (Unco is another word for Mega, Hyper, Ultra, or Giga.)

1. Quick Attack Variation- Unco Cutter gains a priority of +1. (The Concept of Variations was something I made up on the spot. Since all Typers will have one Primary Attack and Status Moves, I need something to make them more interesting after seeing them multiple times. I was initially going to go the Anime route and make crazy variations of the same moves. But since Typers embody their respective types, tapping into the effects of other moves makes sense and sounds fun.)

Attack Mode: Threatening Wing- The User, Beckett, manifests terrifying wings and flies straight at his opponents. Non-Flying Types will have a 25% chance of Flinching. This move is super effective on Flying types. (This move comes from how some butterflies and moths have scary-looking wings to deter predators.)

Ability Mode: Skin Crawl- Contact with Beckett, with this ability active, may cause the foe to be Infested. (This was originally going to be Flea Bag, but I changed it to be based on the phrase "making my skin crawl.")

We’ll start off with bug types-

1: Scyther. Tell me that thing doesn’t look somewhat draconic. You might be saying “oh, but Scizor isn’t” and to that i say, if Scyther was Bug/dragon in the first place, then Scizor would probably look quite different.

2: Armaldo. If older fossil Pokémon weren’t always rock type, i think Armaldo definitely could have been Bug/Dragon

3: Yanmega. Bug/Flying definitely works for it, but i feel like it could have also been Bug/Dragon.

4: Slither Wing. It literally has a dragon tail, and someone tell me how the heck the thing is a fighting type??? It has no fighting type traits at all, fighting would be one of the last types i would guess for it. The first time i saw Slither Wing, my first thought was literally, oh, that’s a bug/dragon type. But nope, apparently not.

Now, that’s all the bug types i think could have been Bug/Dragon, so moving onto dragon types now.

1: Vibrava/Flygon. Mostly Vibrava. Just look at Vibrava. Are you joking. Well, ground type definitely fits them as well, but at least Vibrava could have been Bug/Dragon. Like come. On.

2: the Goomy line. Now, when i was younger I genuinely thought the Goomy line was Dragon/water, but they’re just pure dragon. They might be able to be bug/dragon, but literally no other snail/slug Pokémon are Bug types. (Magcargo, Gastrodon, Wo-Chien) They also learn plenty of water moves, as far as I’m aware, so tbh i feel like Dragon/Water would be a better fit anyways.

3: Naganadel. Another Flygon-ish case here. Poison/Dragon fits it quite well, but Bug/Dragon could also work.

4: Applin. Yet another Flygon-ish case, as Applin is based of the saying “worm in an apple” but it replaces “worm” with “wyrm”, a type of dragon. Grass/Dragon is probably a bit more fitting for it though.
