I'll be doing a series of protag tierlists, abt headcanons and how likely they are to do things, but here's js the normal "how much do i like them" one first
Based on ORAS designs ofc
(i blocked out something bc it was about shipping)
Pokémon: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
Hello, Hello it's me Scorpi with a nuzlocke! Some of you may remember the series of polls i made earlier about a challenge. The winning options were a Pokemon Black Nuzlocke with Osuawott. However, I couldn't find my copy of Pokemon Black so I got my copy of Alpha Sapphire instead.
Rules:
Items are allowed
Permadeath
Nicknames
Dupe Clause
And every other basic nuzlocke rule
(Sorry for bad picture quality)
I picked the female character and named myself Scorpi.
After saving Professor Birch from a baby dog, i got gifted a female chick and named her Nene Yashiro (kudos to whoever guesses my nickname theme). He told me to fight his son. So
After betting his pathetic chi- Brendan, I went back to the lab and got a pokedex and some pokeballs.
I immediately went to route 101 and caught a poochyena named Kou Minamoto.
I caught two more pokemon in route 102 and 103 respectively. Yako the zigzagooon and Tsukasa kun the wurmple. I went to Petalburg and entered the gym.
TO BE CONTINUED
Wally was standing in some grass with his Ralts. He had asked a random Trainer to battle him. They had a Skitty, and they were winning. Wally sighed as he lost, and handed more money over. He was almost completely broke. “I have to try harder!” He huffed to himself, putting his Ralts into his Pokeball. He scuffed the ground with his foot as he started walking. Alana watched from afar, and stepped out of the shadows. She squinted as a ray of light filtered through the clouds and struck her eyes.
“Hey, you.” She directed at Wally.
The green haired kid jumped at the voice. Turning around he saw a girl with brown hair that had pink/purple faded tips. “Umm- Hello?”
“Come here.” She smirked. “I won’t fight.” He hesitated, then slowly came towards her.
“What do you want?”
“Just want to talk to you.”
“About what? How I’m not strong enough to beat other trainers?” He said, slight annoyance in his tone.
“Whatever.” Alana slinked away. It would be better to actually spy on somebody useful.
“Wait-” He said, stumbling over towards her. “What did you want?”
“You need to stop being so hard on yourself.” She huffed. “The only way to get better is to believe in yourself.” Wally raised an eyebrow.
“You’re kidding, right?”
“Honestly, yeah.”
Wally took a moment to study the person in front of him. He suddenly had a feeling that he shouldn’t be talking to her, and backed away.
“You dropped your wallet.” She said bluntly, holding it up.
“Oh.” He said, reaching out to grab it. “Thank you.” Maybe I can trust her…
She dropped it in his hands. “Be careful.”
“So…” He said, trying to start a conversation. “Do you have Pokemon?”
“Two, actually.” She released both of them.
Wally looked up at the Vibrava that flew out and the Numel that appeared on the ground. “Those are cool.” He said, sending out his own Ralts.
“What level are your Pokemon?”
“Oh… Level 14 or so. Not as much as my friends.”
“I’m only Level 15 with both. What Level are they?”
“Between Level 17 and 19 maybe.”
“That’s not too far. You can catch up easily.”
“Yeah, but I can’t beat anyone.” Wally said, hanging his head.
“Need help getting to the lower parts to Level up easier?”
“Yes, actually, I do.” He answered.
“Here. Let me help.” She offered.
***
Wally grinned as his Ralts defeated a Taillow. Alana had helped him train, and his Ralts had gotten stronger. They gained quite a few levels together in a span of two days.
“Happy I took you here? I told you this was a sweet spot to level up.” Alana grinned, watching ontop of a rock. Wally put his Ralts into its Pokeball. The day before, he had caught a Swablu.
“I can’t believe I caught a Pokemon by myself!”
“Great job! Are you going to name it soon?”
“Perhaps, but I’m not sure if I will or not.” Wally said, studying the Pokeball.
“Well. Don’t rush it. Focus on training.”
He nodded, putting the Pokeball away. “You know.” Wally started. “I didn’t first trust you when you talked to me, but now I think you’re pretty nice.” He said timidly.
“Oh I know.” She flashed a smile, her spying completely at the back of her mind.
“Maybe if we run into my other friends, I’ll try and introduce you. But… They don’t really like strangers. We’ve met one named Foxtash or something like that and he captured us and put us in a cell.”
“Oh yeah, Team Magma sucks.” She said coolly.
Wally turned his gaze towards her. “You know them?”
“Oh-” Alana hadn’t noticed her mistake. “Family rivalry.” She fibbed.
The boy raised an eyebrow, feelings of distrust coming back to him. “Is that so?”
“Yeah.” She gulped. “My dad hates the Leader.”
“Ah… Ok.” Wally looked down at his feet. Come on Wally! He thought to himself. Decide whether you want to trust her or not!
“What? My dad was kidnapped by them too.” She added in.
He forced himself to look up at Alana. “I have to tell you something. I haven’t been trusting you lately but… I’m going to decide to now.”
“What makes you say that?” She stifled an anxious look.
“Because me and my friends haven’t really had good instances with meeting new people, and we’ve had problems with Team Magma before.”
“Oh, I know.” She sighed and hastily added- “You’ve told me before.”
Wally took a moment to think. “I have?”
“Yeah. Remember?”
“Hmmm… Ok.” He looked around them. “Maybe we should train some more.”
***
Crystal huffed. Her feet were getting sore by the time they reached Verdanturf. She stretched out her arms and legs as she and Brendan sat down on a bench. Brendan was finishing up a snack.
“I wonder how Wally is.” He said, trying to make talk.
Crystal was playing with a piece of grass in her fingers. “I’m sure we would have heard something by now if he wasn’t doing ok.”
“Maybe. I also haven’t heard anything great.” He added in.
She nudged his shoulder. “Stop worrying about him. We should be thinking about getting to Rusturf Tunnel.”
“How far away is it again?”
Crystal pulled out her map. I can’t tell if we need to pass through another town or not. But I think we don’t.”
“We might if we accidentally go a bit off path and get on a new one.”
“We might as well explore the town while we’re here.” Crystal said, standing up.
“Sounds good.” Brendan began to walk towards the town. “There should be a gym too.”
Crystal looked around the town as they walked through. “Maybe we should stop at the PokeCenter.” She suggested.
Brendan agreed. Soon, they were greeted with the city. A Nurse Joy was standing behind a counter, talking with someone. “Excuse me.” He said politely as it sounded like they were wrapping their chatter up.
Nurse Joy turned her gaze up to the young trainer. “Yes?” She asked, as the person she was talking to walked away.
“Do you know what the Gym is like here?”
She made a questioning look. “There is no Gym here.”
“Ok.” The two Trainers gave the Nurse Joy their Pokemon, then headed outside.
“See.” Crystal said, rubbing in the fact she was right. “Told you there was no Gym.”
“Whatever.” Brendan playfully rolled his eyes.
“Come on.” She said. “We should find a hotel to stay in for the night.”
“Right.” Brendan nodded. It was quite easy to find shelter for the night, and they settled in. As Brendan was handed his room keys, he glanced over at Crystal. “What should we do tomorrow?”
She shrugged as she picked up her own keys. “Search for Rusturf Tunnel, of course.” Brendan nodded, and walked inside his room.
***
Outside, light dew dripped from the branches around, and the roofs of the buildings. Flying-like Pokemon chirped their morning hmms. Brendan knocked on Crystal's door. Brendan’s friend opened it, her bags all ready and good to go.
“You ready to head into the tunnel?” She asked happily.
“Absolutely.” He nodded and began heading out. As they walked along, it was pretty silent. Crystal wanted to start a conversation but she was afraid that it would somehow end up being about Wally.
“So… Do you think we’ll ever see Opal again anytime soon?”
“No, I bet she’s going around on her ‘trains’ and out of here.”
“Good. I was getting pretty tired of her snobbery.”
Sorry it took so long
Some people might not even know what this is anyway
Chapter 12: https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003564380
Crystal nudged her friend in the shoulder. “I'm just poking fun at you.”
“Oh I know…” He chuckled. Alana took mental notes inside her head about the two's relaxed relationship, no signs of any crushes between them, and how Brendan had never got any Gym Badges yet.
Crystal turned back to the cup polisher, unaware of Alana. “So where is this Gym located?”
“Just a few blocks over.” The polisher flashed a smile. “Outside of this Cafe, there should be a map of the whole town.”
“Thanks!” Crystal chirped, grabbing the rest of her food. “We should start looking at the map.”
“Sure!” Brendan ate quickly. When she finished with hers, she grabbed Wally’s arm and walked out. The three walked around for a few brief minutes, before finding a large map across from the restrooms. Wally stared at it for a while, making sure the image of the map stayed locked in his mind.
“The Gym is not too far.” Wally commented.
“Should only be a few blocks away.”
“Yeah.” Brendan nodded. “Should we go now?”
“If we want to get it over with. I want to see how strong my Pokemon have gotten!”
“Me too!” Cheered Brendan as they walked out. Wally didn’t say anything as they walked. They soon came up to a big black and shining yellow door. Brendan walked in first, building up the confidence in himself to challenge the Gym Leader. The Gym was full of rods connecting with electricity, and someone standing in the far back.
“Nervous?” Wally asked.
“Not really.” Crystal said. “I’m pretty confident.” She side-glanced at Brendan. “What about you?”
“A little bit timid, but I’m fairly good.”
“Maybe you’ll get this one.” She joked.
“Shut up.” The trio walked through the place, avoiding the electricity. Wires hung from the ceiling.
“Wow.” Wally looked around. “So glad I’m not fighting here.”
Crystal walked up to the person in the back. “Hello. Are you the Gym Leader here?”
The man turned around. He was big, kind of tall, with kind of spiky white-silver hair. “Why yes, I am. The name’s Wattson.”
“Nice to meet you.” Brendan smiled.
“If you hadn’t realized yet, I’m an Electric Type Gym Leader.” He looked at all three of them. “Which of you are going to challenge me?”
“I can go.” Brendan stepped up. Wattson nodded. Crystal and Wally backed up, giving them space to battle.
“Arrow!” He released the bird like Pokemon.
“Go Magnemite!” The Gym Leader said, tossing a Pokeball to reveal a Steel-Electric Pokemon.
“Use Wing Attack!” Arrow followed, striking Magnemite in its middle. The Pokemon was pushed back, but it didn’t get hurt much.
“Strike back with Thunder Wave, Megnemite!” The Leader’s Pokemon released a wave of electricity, stunning the Taillow. Arrow cried out but zipped back into the air, following more moves ordered by Brendan. “Now try Tackle!” Arrow fainted! Wattson smirked as the Pokemon went back into its Pokeball. “Anymore?”
“Quiver!” He released the other Pokemon, and it did a swift strike onto the rival, knocking it out. The Magnemite was pushed back, hitting the wall behind Wattson.
“That was a pretty strong move!” Wattson commented.
“Thanks.”
“Now Tackle again!” Megnemite slammed itself into Quiver. Quiver dodged! “Volt Switch!” The Steel Pokemon sent out a blast of electricity, hitting the Taillow directly! Magnemite went back into its Pokeball. “Out now, Magneton!”
“Use Wing Attack!” Quiver swiped down and striked the Magenton with a harsh blow. The Magneton, which looked like three Magnemites fused together, striked back with another blast of electricity, taking down the second bird Pokemon.
“Flame!” Brendan released the Pokemon, and the two gave each other a nod, as without command, Flame casted a fury of embers against Magneton. It was super effective! Magneton took a great deal of damage. Flame chirped in triumph, and waited expectantly for them to move.
“You use Volt Switch too!” The Pokemon did the same as it’s comrad did, blasting electricity and returning back to the Pokeball. Flame took damage. Watson sent out Magnemite. It’s health was low, and wasn’t going to cause much trouble.
“Use Ember!” Flame chirped happily, and burned the Magnemite. The Pokemon went down.
“Hmm…” Wattson said, retrieving his Pokemon. “Again, Magneton!” He sent out his last Pokemon.
“Flamethrower!” Flame attacked, creating a storm of flames around Magneton. The Pokemon fainted before it even got to attack.
“Well done!” Wattson said to his challenger.
“Thanks!” Brendan smiled. “Is it over?”
He nodded. “Here.” He said, handing him a yellow circular Gym Badge. “Proof that you beat me in battle.”
“Thanks!” Brendan smiled, glowing with pride. Later Crystal was the same after she won the battle against him easily.
Crystal puffed her chest out proudly as she stood with her new Pokemon- Mudkip had evolved into a Marshtomp. Wally gasped.
“Congratulations!” He expressed in amazement, staring at the glory of the evolved Pokemon. Wattson smiled as he watched the three.
“He lost a bit of his cuteness.” Laughed Brendan. Wally shuffled his feet quietly.
“Let’s head out.” Crystal said, putting Mudkip in his Pokemon.
They headed now, Brendan looking around. “What now?”
Wally turned his gaze away from them. “I have to tell you two something.”
“Yes?”
“You guys are so strong, and I only have my Ralts. I’m going to leave and train by myself.”
“Wah-” Brendan frowned. “Are you sure? We can always help you!”
“No. I want and need to do this by myself.”
“Will you come back to us?” Frowned Brendan. Alana watched, blending in with the forage with her.
“I don’t know. I don’t know where I’ll go or what I will be doing.”
“Stay with us until we know for sure, to keep you safe.”
Wally huffed indignantly. “I can handle myself.” He said, turning around and walking away.
“Wow… You think he’ll be okay?”
Crystal watched as their small friend walked away. “I’m sure he’ll be fine.” She shook herself a little. “We should get going.”
“Fine…” Brendan smiled a bit, and began walking. “I think I need another Pokemon.”
“I might… I’m not sure yet.”
“It couldn’t hurt to battle your Pokemon after we heal them and try to capture a new Pokemon.” His friend smiled. This could be a way to take their mind off Wally. They went to the PokeCenter and healed their Pokemon. Later, they fought through the mob of the town, and into the long grass that tickled their knees. Crystal parted the grass as she looked for a new Pokemon. An Electrike appeared, striking an stance, ready for battle in front of Crystal!
“Perfect!” She exclaimed. “Come out Layla!” She said, tossing the Pokeball.
Electrike leaped out, and tackled Layla, crashing both of them to the ground. “Fire Fang!” The Poochyena clamped her jaws on the wild Pokemon, flames coming out the edge of her mouth. The Electrike yelped out and used Thunderbolt. Layle got hit, but she shook it off. Crystal took her chance. “Go Pokeball!” She said, tossing a Great Ball. The Electrike entered inside the ball, and it shook… Then, it stopped. She grinned as she walked over and picked up the Pokeball. “My fourth Pokemon! Well… My fifth, including the Pikachu we got at the contest.”
“Should we try to use the Pikachus for battle?” Brendan asked.
“Sure. First, we should name them.”
“Hm. I’ll name mine Sparkles.”
“You’re kidding, right?”
“No. Why ask?”
“Nothing… I think I’m going to call my new Pokemon Striker, and the Pikachu Star.”
“Good names.” Smiled Brendan. Crystal pulled out her map.
“Looks like we need to go through Rusturf Tunnel next.”
“Well.” Brendan began to walk. “What are we waiting for?” Alana watched as the two Trainers walked away. She decided that she should follow Wally and see what he was up to.
This will probably be the last chapter I post in a while, me and my friend are 3/4 pages done with Chapter 13 but we don't touch it much for the past few weeks
Chapter 11: https://pokemon.fandom.com/f/p/4400000000003563955
For those of you who don't know, I made a comment a while back about how there are no player characters (other) in the series, other than May, Dawn and Serena. Having them in the series would've been beneficial to see them in the anime, not just in the games. Maybe they could've appeared as friends, as opponents to battle and etc. They also could've participated in events and battles they did in the games (the players fighting the evil organization of that region, Victor and Hop fighting Chairman Rose with Zacian and Zamazenta instead of Ash and Goh and etc.) They are the ones that should've won the Pokemon League in that season instead of the other characters that won (minus Johto) and Ash in Ultra Sun and Moon. Master Journeys should remedy this mistake and finally introduce them into the series, instead of just in the games and a few cameo appearances in the movies. At the end of it, Victor/Gloria (the player from Sword and Shield) should defeat Leon and become the Champion/Monarch, not Ash.
Red sent out his Arcanine and Poliwrath. Brendan looked at May who looked back at him. They sent out Breloom and Altaria respectively.
Arcanine, Poliwrath and Red were in sync so Red didn't need to command orally to his Pokemon to make them do their moves. Arcanine used Flamethrower at Breloom and Poliwrath used Ice Beam at Altaria. Breloom used Protect and blocked the Flamethrower while Altaria fired back a Hyper Beam. Both moves clashed midway before hitting the opponent. Red's Arcanine then used Extreme Speed on Altaria while Poliwrath used an Ice Punch on Altaria.
'Altaria, Use Dragon Dance!', said May.
Altaria flew up high and gracefully flew in a way which looked like a dance which boosted Altaria's attack and speed. Brendan commanded Breloom to use Spore on Arcanine who fell asleep.
'Altaria, carry Breloom on you and use Earthquake!'.
Altaria swooped down and Breloom jumped onto Altaria's back as Altaria used an Earthquake. Arcanine fainted and Poliwrath was weakened. Red returned Arcanine and sent out Lapras. Poliwrath used a Ice Beam at Altaria who fainted as Breloom fell down from Altaria's back. May then sent out her Audino. Red sent out Espeon. Espeon used Psychic on Breloom. But Breloom used Protect to shield itself from being hit by the Super Effective Move.
'Good Job Breloom',said Brendan. Breloom turned back towards Brendan and nodded. 'Audino, Use Swift!', said May.
Audino shot a bunch of hard stars which looked like mini ninja shurikens at Espeon and Poliwrath. Poliwrath fainted. Espeon used a Quick Attack at Audino. Red then sent out Snorlax. Snorlax used Brick Break at Audino. Audino used Disarming Voice and it hit Espeon and Snorlax. Brendan commanded Breloom to use Giga Drain against Snorlax but Snorlax protected itself. Espeon then used Psychic as Breloom fell unable to battle. Brendan then sent out his Metagross. Metagross instantly took down Snorlax in one Hammer Arm. The Battle continued as both sides were equally causing damage against the other.
Taking down Pokemon after Pokemon, they both reached their final two Pokemon. Brendan and May sent out Sceptile and Blaziken respectively. Red sent out his Raichu and Venusaur. Red commanded Raichu and Venusaur through his silent bond that Raichu should make sure that Blaziken won't touch Venusaur and Venusaur should make sure that Sceptile won't touch Raichu. Brendan and May put their shoulders on each other as they looked at each other and then into the keystones. Both of them chanted. 'Beyond Evolution! Mega Evolve!'. Sceptile's Sceptilite and Blaziken's Blazikenite started reacting to Brendan's and May's keystone respectively. They evolved even further into Mega Sceptile and Mega Blaziken. Red then looked at Venusaur. Venusaur turned back. Red raised his keystone and Venusaur's Venusaurite reacted to the keystone. Venusaur Mega Evolved into Mega Venusaur. Red then looked at Venusaur and all of a sudden the thoughts he had in his mind till he met Brendan and May continued.
'I lost. I lost against that trainer who claimed that he hails from Johto. I then bid farewell to him silently as I proceeded to continue my journey because I learnt that there is always someone who can beat you no matter how high and elite you are. You can never be unbeatable. That boy who's name was Ethan according to his Trainer Card taught me this. I hoped that I would meet him another day. I then went to other regions and challenged the other champions. And when I went again to Hoenn to battle the champion and there stood Brendan in front of me like he did back then. Brendan first sent out his Raichu against my Pikachu but my Pikachu was completely destroyed even tho I had given it a Light Ball. Brendan and I tied against each other that day and he gave me a Lightning Ball and suggested me to use this after I evolve Pikachu and it would double all the stats except Physical Attack. He said a Professor named Machimo discovered this strategy. My Pikachu who refused to evolve at first was finally convinced to evolve and there I had my Raichu. I then visited Sinnoh and challenged the Elite 4 and Champion after beating the Sinnoh Gyms and I beat Lucas, the reigning Champion but allowed him to keep his role. I went on similarly to the Unova and Kalos league where I beat the Champions Rosa and Calem. Then I saw the Ex Champion of Unova named Hilbert and lost to him. He was really powerful as a trainer and as powerful as me. I then went to Alola with Blue to control the Battle Tree. And the Champion of Alola named Elio battled me and Blue and defeated both of us. He then said he was aiming for the Master's Cup after getting all gym badges and he told me what the cup was. It was the Highest League of all. I then competed in the Masters League and the first time I was runner up as I lost to a trainer named Crashok Diego who had won many regional championships. The second time I participated I tied with Leon in the semi final and after a rematch I lost again. Third time, Fifth Time and Seventh Time I won the Masters Cup. I then travelled everywhere challenging mighty opponents, learned many things. And now my goal other than being the strongest trainer is to get Mew. I need Mew to fill the Kanto Dex. I need it. And to get Mew I have to pass Brendan and May who stand as obstacles and have the desire to obtain Mew as well'
Red then silently commanded Raichu to jump on towards Venusaur's flower who closed Raichu inside. Venusaur then fired a Solar Beam from the flower but along with that Raichu was fired as well and Raichu used a Thunder Punch on Blaziken. It was a combo attack. As soon as the punch landed Raichu jumped above Blaziken's head onto Sceptile to use a powerful Hyper Beam as the Solar Beam struck Blaziken as well. Both Blaziken and Sceptile were hit critically and Raichu jumped in front of Blaziken so that Blaziken doesn't target Venusaur. Venusaur then used Sludge Bomb onto Sceptile which was super effective and poisoned Sceptile. Red then readied himself for an Ultimate Z Move. A Z Move which doesn't need a Z crystal which only he and Raichu were able to use cause of their sync. Red threw his cap onto Raichu who wore it on his head. They performed a Z Movement. Red then yelled, 'RAICHU, FULL POWER! THE STRIKE OF A BILLION VOLTS!'. Raichu used the Ultimate Z Move as it completely beat down both Sceptile and Blaziken as they fainted. Red was exhausted. He used up all his energy to Mega Evolve and used even more energy to use the Ultimate Z Move. He almost passed out.
'We can't use more than six if this were an official tournament. However I have a last straw. I called it back to get Mew if it's indeed very powerful'. Brendan took out a Pokeball and kissed it slightly. 'Go!'.
Brendan sent out a Rayquaza! Red was shocked. He had no energy left to battle a Rayquaza out of all things. But he needed Mew. He then ordered Raichu to use Thunderbolt and told Venusaur to use Outrage in his usual way of commanding. However Rayquaza used a powerful Dragon Pulse at Venusaur who instantly fainted and Raichu's Thunderbolt barely did any damage. Rayquaza then used a Dragon Pulse at Raichu who fainted as well. Red gave a gasp. Brendan said, 'We won Red. We had a deal. The one who wins gets to go to Mew. I have the same desire as you to just register Mew to my Dex. Right Honey?'. He turned to May who jumped into his hands and said, 'Yep!'.
'Not so soon!'.
A voice echoed through the cave. Red, Brendan and May looked to the direction of the voice. There stood Mewtwo.
'I am Red's partner as well! If you bring out your seventh Pokemon, he is gonna use seven Pokemon as well!'.
Brendan gave a slight gasp. 'Alright. I will battle you Mewtwo!' .
Mewtwo turned towards Red and touched his forehead. Red gained back his energy.
Red didn't own Mewtwo for that long so he didn't have the bond he had with his other Pokemon with Mewtwo. But Mewtwo could telepathically communicate with Red so he didn't have to speak.
Red telepathically told Mewtwo to use a very giant Aura Sphere and Rayquaza used Draco Meteor. Both of them clashed midway and a mild explosion took place.
Mewtwo used Psychic which hit Rayquaza who gave a big roar of pain. Rayquaza then used Shadow Claw onto Mewtwo which was a super effective damage.
Red then heard a voice in his head.
'Use your keystone! NOW!'.
Red raised his Keystone and summoned the power of Mega Keystone as Mewtwo starter reacting to it. Mewtwo mega evolved into Mega Mewtwo Y. Brendan then said. 'Alright Rayquaza! Use Dragon Ascent to Mega Evolve!'. Rayquaza flew up as it used Dragon Ascent, powering up it's body as Brendan used his Mega Ring as it Mega Evolved. Red was surprised to see a Pokemon Mega Evolve without a stone. Mewtwo used a giant Shadow Ball again but Rayquaza broke through it using Dragon Ascent. Both the legendaries clashed against each other ferociously. May clinged onto Brendan who didn't notice it as he was busy battling. Rayquaza used Hyper Beam and Mewtwo used Hyper Beam as well. Both the Hyper Beam clashed midway and rebounded as it hit both of them. Mewtwo used Recover as it felt that it was about to faint and healed itself. The smoke went away to reveal that Mega Rayquaza devolved back into Rayquaza and was unable to battle. Brendan ran and hugged Rayquaza.
'Are you alright?'.
'Saaaaaarrrrr'
'Dont worry Rayquaza. You did all you could. I will send you back to Skypillar Tower after a while'. He withdrew Rayquaza back into his Pokeball. He shook hands with Red and said, 'Thanks. You offered an amazing battle Red! You won. Now, as much as it hurts that my dream is crushed I am happy that it's for someone else with the same dream! Go ahead'.
May went to Red and said, 'Yeah. You can share your Dex Entry with us too right?'. Red nodded. Red, Mewtwo, Brendan and May moved more into the cave as they finally saw it. Mew flew around there with a naughty laugh.
'Mewwww....Myuhumewww'
Red thought. 'Let me try my luck.'
Red took out a regular Pokeball and threw it right at Mew.
'What? Are you serious Red? I thought you knew better than to just throw a Pokeball without battling at a Sacred Pokemon like Mew',said May. Brendan said, 'Imagine having the courage to throw a regular Pokeball at a Mythical Pokemon-'
Brendan couldn't complete his sentence. His jaw opened wide out of shock. He poked May and pointed at the Pokeball. Red looked pretty shocked as well. Mew was caught. In the Pokeball! At a single throw. Without even battling!
'Oh Arceus!', cried out Brendan.
Having defeated Brendan and May, Red who proceeded to catch Mew just caught it at his first attempt. Stay tuned as the story continues....
Pokémon Journeys may be a good excuse for the writers to include the playable characters (other than the ones already in the series like Dawn, May and Serena) in the series. In Journeys, Ash and Goh travel to other regions and learn more about different Pokémon, battling other trainers, catching new Pokémon and etc. Perhaps Ash and Goh could run into the playable characters (Brendan, Calem, Victor, Elio and etc.) while traveling to those regions, befriending them, battling with them and etc. Some playable characters like Brendan, Lucas and Ethan have made appearances in the movies, but they are only minor appearances and not for that long (at most a few seconds). The writers should’ve written them in already, at least as one of Ash’s companions on his journey. Adding them in Journeys could/would remedy this.
This the submission for @Jaxoon 's Contest
The following events take place atop Mt.Pyre
Read along to find out the reason for Gengar's vindictive and revengeful attitude
*Story Begins*
Night had just descended upon the Hoenn region, when a dark and mysterious creature rushed across the Route 122, alerting Brendan, who was returning to Lilycove City."What was that?" he asked to himself, shaking a little with fear and anxiety. Stopping for some minutes , he commenced his journey but it became pitch black all around Route 122. Shaking with terror, he summoned Combusken. "Give me some warmth and illumination, buddy!". The warmth of Combusken's body prevented Brendan from frostbite, as snowfall had already begun. As they came into a clearing, they caught a glimpse of Mount Pyre. Brendan brought Charmeleon back, and rushed along the path to seek some shelter in Mount Pyre.
The snowfall had halted now but Brendan wanted to climb the steps which led to the summit of the humongous mountain. After all, a ghost type would have been an asset to his team. Half an hour later, he was standing on Mount Pyre's summit. The view was quite breathtaking from up there. A few leaves rustled, and the shining moon came out of the hiding. Everything was bathed in moonlight, when suddenly, a blow of Shadow Ball flung Brendan few feet away. Head still reeling, he got up and glared around. A pair of glowing eyes were watching him with rapt attention. "Who is that?", Brendan thought, still mystified. The creature came closer to him, and prepared to hit another Shadow Ball. But no, Brendan was not scared this time. He pulled out Makuhita and asked him to use Karate Chop. The creature jumped high up in the air, and the moonlight revealed his identity
It was a Gengar, and it looked very angry and frustrated. Alas! Fighting types couldn't do a thing to Ghost types and as Brendan prepared for another blow, Gengar dropped down, now lying unconscious. He was badly bruised and seemed as if he was in great mental pain. Brendan put in inside a Pokéball, and some hours later, he reached Lilycove City. He dashed into the Pokémon Centre and cried,"Help him Nurse Joy, he's in great pain". Gengar was admitted to the centre, and in no time, he was healed but instead of thanking his savior, he tried to attack him. "What happened, why are you so vindictive Gengar?" cried Brendan. A framed picture of the Elite 4 was hanging on the wall of the Center's lobby. Gengar grunted and pointed out to Phoebe and looked with tears at Brendan. After confirming with Joy, he got to know that years ago, Phoebe, the ghost type elite had abused and thrown Gengar out of her team, only because he was a bit timid. Now, Gengar wanted revenge and attacked trainers near Mount Pyre.
Both Brendan and Gengar looked at each other, and after mutual understanding, Brendan spoke out - "Go ahead buddy, take your revenge, it's your right to do so".Thus, both the Trainer and the Pokémon parted ways, one wanting Recognition and the other, wanting Revenge.
*End Of Story*

I was thinking about this from a long time.... And it kept bothering me....Do you guys think that somehow, even though from different universes, May and Brendan are siblings. Because Brendan and May ,both are the Norman's son and daughter respectively 🤔🤔🤔 What do you guys think??? Write in comments
