Did some shiny hunting today :D
First, i started my n i n e t h p h a s e for Porygon, and that happened to be the one—
But first i got another stupid rat >:( (yes i’m aware it’s a chinchilla)
Gotten 2 of them before, but reset for obvious reasons.
Anyways, the thing ended up having the uncommon mark, although i honestly don’t care.
Anyways HERE is what i wanted.
And yes i see that image is garbage, nothing i can really do about it now, though, huh?
After that, i kinda wanted to keep shiny hunting, but i was outta the stuff. So i just ran around a bit ‘cause i was bored, and noticed somewhere Skarmory spawns a lot… i quite like Skarmory, and it’s a nice shiny, sooooo…
Anyways, went to do tera raids, it didn’t let me in for like half an hour (as usual) and finally got into a Kommo-o, which somehow gave me 2 herba??? So, i immediately went to shiny hunt, and got this Skarmory in all of… 2 minutes. Yeah.
But… there was another Pokémon i wanted… another steel type… Duraludon. More specifically, Archaludon. So i went to look there and…
Nothing. I had 25 minutes by the time i got there, and i couldn’t look anywhere without seeing one… what went wrong?
So… i made the hard decision… to reset my game. Yeah. I know, it sounds kinda… dumb… BUT… it actually did pay off. So, i made another one, and got a Skarmory in more like 10 minutes this time.
It took a ridiculous amount of time to catch, used like 20 nest balls (CAUSE COLOR MATCH…) until i finally caught it. Then, i ended up finding Duraludon in about 5 minutes.
And uh, yep. Then i went to look for a Corviknight, ‘cause i still had 10 minutes. I didn’t end up finding one, despite it looking like the sky was black there were so many—
Anyways take some pictures now
Also looking for names for Skarmory and Archaludon. Please don’t suggest like, human names. For Archaludon, i’m looking for something that would fit with ‘Pyrite’ (my Hydrapple
)
Anyways uh, yeah, what else do i say, i dunno, cya.

Archaludon might have the same bst as Duraludon but with a higher sp.atk than physical attack (similar to scizor and kleavor having the same bst but arranged differently)
First of all
What is this
Why did they do Raikou so dirty lol
Ah yes, Dipplin
Dipplin kind of just exists in my opinion. The DLC introduced many more interesting and scary Pokémon such as Archaludon, which I will go over later. But I do like that Applin got a third evolution, it's a third chance for Applin because both of its evolutions are trash (competitively, I like their concepts and designs), but right now it doesn't seem like Dipplin is going to be that great either.
I was researching the new mons revealed and I found a little "kit reveal" for Dipplin, including info about its abilities and signature move. Do not harass me if this is wrong when the DLC comes out I found this on Twitter.
One of Dipplin's abilities will be Gluttony, an ability that allows the ability holder to consume their berry earlier than usual, which is pretty useless.
Dipplin's other ability is Supersweet Syrup. When Dipplin enters the battlefield, it will lower the opponent's Evasion by one stage. Another pretty trash ability, unless it decides to run Thunder or something outside of rain.
I am unsure whether Supersweet Syrup is the Hidden Ability or the Hidden Ability has not been leaked yet.
Dipplin has two pretty bad abilities so far.
One of my friends found a source that said its signature move will have a secondary effect on the target that consistently lowers Speed for three turns. However if Dipplin is anything like the other two Applin evolutions, it will have a pretty low SpAtk.
I do see some potential for Dipplin as a support for Special Attackers like Flutter Mane in doubles, but I don't see much potential for it in singles. Since the other two Applin evolutions were Grass/Dragon I am going to assume Dippline will be Grass/Dragon as well.
I have nothing bad to say about this thing. It looks sick.
When they were going over wave 1 of the DLC I got jumpscared by something that scared me and all my competitive Pokémon people:
Baxcalibur's days are over.
Stall has a new staple.
We're doomed.
I saved this thing for last for a reason:
First of all, who's bright idea was it to give a Pokémon with 535 BST an evolution? Duraludon is going to be running Eviolite and everyone is doomed.
Here are Duraludon's base stats:
Knowing that we're getting a Pokémon with a BST higher than 535 is scary. Duraludon already has very high SpAtk and Physical Defense, so what are Archaludon's stats going to be like?
I'm going to talk about Duraludon for a bit first.
Duraludon already has a base 115 Defense stat, meaning it's going to be a big physical wall with Eviolite.
Duraludon also gets Body Press, which uses the user's Defense stat as its Attack stat. 115 base Defense with Eviolite, a +Defense nature, 252 Defense EVs and 31 Defense IVs brings Duraludon's Defense up to almost 500 (if my math is correct). Body Press Duraludon is the new meta, and although I love Duraludon I am geniunely scared.
Since Duraludon has Body Press, that means Archaludon will also have Body Press, and if you thought this new Duraludon line couldn't get any worse, here are Archaludon's abilities:
Stamina/Sturdy
It gets Sturdy, but who cares about that. But STAMINA?
To those who don't know what Stamina does, it boosts the ability holder's Defense by one stage when it is hit by any attack. If Archaludon is also going to run Body Press, PVP is doomed.
Archaludon's signature move will be Electrobeam. It is a 2-turn move, one turn 1 it will charge, boosting Archaludon's SpAtk by one stage, and one turn 2 it will fire the Electrobeam. The charge is skipped if it is raining.
Archaludon will probably be a new rain team staple.
Archaludon is probably my favorite new mon though.
I will put the sources in the replies just give me a second to find them.
Putting this in General because I don't know what category this goes into.
Archaludon:
7/10 not my favorite one, but cool nonetheless.
Dipplin:
100/10 they're SO cute lil candy apple wurm baba
Raging bolt:
10/10 cool giraffe bud, need i say more?
Iron Crown:
7/10 cooler than most future paradox pokemon, so it gets a pretty high score from me
Opinions on the dlc mon.
I like it, it’s probably my favorite new one. I think it looks a bit too much like Applin if you’d compare it to Flapple and Appletun, but it’s probably the best way to do a candy apple Applin.
Alright, Archaludon. I like it but don’t like it at the same time? I don’t like it’s face. Its signature move looks super cool though. Tbh I’m happy Duraludon got an evolution, Duraludon already has a pretty high bst so i wonder if they’ll lower it or this thing is gonna have a crazy bst.
Why does everyone HATE Raging Bolt? It looks super cool :(
For one thing STOP CALLING IT A GIRAFFE IT IS VERY CLEARLY AN ARCHOSAUR >:(
Anyways the fur stuff being like a storm cloud around its head is really cool imo
Its cool.
Even it's signature move looks cool

It's so cool to have a new evolution for a recent mon, never thought they would do that
Also dipplin better have an Evo called dripplin
(Will probably draw a dipplin Evo today because I like it too)
