Ok, so I've mulled my options, I think I'll use brambleghast a bit more before swapping to the tera rock breloom hanging around medali (which solves it's weaknesses) if I genuinely can't find any use/enjoyment out of using it. Anywho, time for Kofu, one of the few times I won't be struggling. I'm gonna attempt to make tumble work.
Tumble easily outruns and defeats veluza with 2 mega Drains, tanks wugtrios water pulses befkr3 doing the same (which is odd considering wugtrio has like next to no hp and bulk).
Tumble dodges a crabhammer (but gets hit by 1 later), and despite being a ghost type, survives long enough to overwhelm crabominable. (Too add insult to injury, Kofus "I'm using my strongest move!" screen popping up, crabhammer missed). Yep, you've earned your spot lil guy, who needs breloom anyway, it will just be a tera sink, and that's no good.
Ok, this may be stupid, but I have dandy. She has leech seed and acrobatics. I should be able to use that to at least overwhelm it over time.
With mega drain, leech seed and mega drain, dandy is able to chip away at great tusk with relative ease.
That said, for phase 2 I decode to play it safe and lead witj sprig, who's much higher leveled. He surprisingly outspeed on the first turn before tusk spins and even tanks a spin, before falling to a brick break despite not being weak to it (flower trick did shred the hp bar though)
Dandy defeats it with acrobatics, giving everyone a much needed exp boost.
Tumble battles the guard of atticus base, and because I doubled into cobfuse ray I burn tera just to get past gulpin with hex. Shroodle also walled him a bit, but the level gap was enough for 2 bullet seeds to finish the job (time for loaded dice!), before he, sprig and pepper ransacked the base (with only Tumble coming out with minimal damage).
For the first time, I fail to play around skuntanks sucker punch and sprig goes down, and olive is able to take it down with grassy terrain boosted energy ball. Muk proved problematic, easily destroying pepper and severely wounding apple (who took it out barely before falling to revavroom).
Revavroom then shreds through olive and a revived apples sucker punch wasn't enough for the ko, but it is defeated by confuse ray...and then the other Revavroom flattens both Tumble and dandy. Oh well...
This time, my tera orb was recharged, and everyone's got a pecja berry to deal witj poison (apple and dandy have acrobatics so they had to skip).
This time, the pecha berry allows sprig to absorb 1 poison and defeat skuntank. I full the 2nd toxic off as sprig goes down.
Pepper roasts muk but still gets defeated, but apple is able to swap in and ko witj acrobatics.
I tera apple and get 2 sucker punches off on revavroom and attempt a disrespect acrobatics but he loses the speed tie and dandy manages to defeat it with acrobatics.
That said, I get flattened by the car again...this is the most Ls I've taken in one of these playthroughs...
Added a Poison heal shroomish (used a random salandit to test, got one on the second attempt) to the team (and also added foongus but I was a bit torn on who to replace, so it's currently chilling in the box, and probably will be for the rest of the run as idk what to do with it without regenerator, and after evolving breloom, idk what else it can give to the team). Anywho, I decided to defeat Larry first...and forgot I still had to deal witj nemona....after beating Larry. Alright then.
Despite being underlevelled, shroom is able to hold her own against the medali trainers. Her mach punches deal a lot of damage despite the level disparity and no technician. She even 1v1d and defeated larrys komala on her own.
Dudunsparce was handled by meowscarada and I then decided to let dandy handle stara...oops intimidate. Nvm, acrobatics has high BP, surely that and tera would give me some even ground against this.
It was a tough back and forth, but dandy ultimately came out on top. Now to beat nemona.
Shroom managed to take down lycanroc with ease...and then I accidentally hit the tera button. Uh...
Whyd have to be you...anywho goomy fells shroom and my tera with it, but apple defeats it with acrobatics.
Apple gets paralysed by pawmo, and then sucker punch fails to block quick attack (must have thought it worked like upper hand) but still beats it in the end.
Olive is plagued by bad luck as I try to beat quaquaval, and so does apple fall. Fine, I'll have sprig finish it off. (He does...and oddly nemona used aqua step on him despite the move being resisted...and it nearly defeated him. I need to stop being so dodgy around these starter vs starter battles)
Anywho, next time, I'm gonna take revenge on atticus for that utter humiliation and hopefully stop flip flopping around reach grass types I want to take to the endgame.
