Ok, this is gonna be harder than I thought. My team is not that strong. A wild paldean tauros nearly team wiped me too. Time to head back to school and see if I can get some free exp candies at this stage.

...and I have to progress further first. Dang.

...nope, not fighting her yet, I'll get torched. Hmm...what's giacomos levels at? Low 20s? But I have to get past bombirdier first...rock throw, wing attack, pluck and torment? OK, so I can go in order after all!

I forgot to put leech seed on dandy, so I nearly threw it. Phase 1 dandy barely won but she fell in phase 2, but goathead manged to bring down the flier. Now to go fight giaccomo then iono, fire stone and flapple here I come.

Keepsake shiny only. Can't use as I'm sticking strictly to grass types without tera.

Can't believe I'm using jumpluff again...and I also wonder why it's best flying move has to he acrobatic...but oh well. She later defeated the team grunt murkrow guard and cleared out the star barrage alongside sprig and olive (who replaces steenee for good as idk what tsareena can do, and flapple is on my to get list), and almost solo giaccomo himself if she didn't get put to sleep by wicked torque (requiring sprig and pepper to step in to help).

I think I'll wrap up here. I'll go against iono next, then maybe see if scovillain can give me an edge against mela and orthworm.

Back to my regular camera it is, and a quick recap of what I did accomplish last time (it wasn't much)

During the koraidon intro, I'm thinking about mons to catch: gogoat served me well as the tank during my kalos only run, so it could be handy. Arbolivas grassy terrain feels essential to power up everyone's grass stab, Tsareena is pretty early but I did lose one in a nuzlocke (which was due to to carelessness so i should give it another chance) and I'm not sure how useful it is here when I'm gonna have meowscarada, scovillain has fire stab, breloom could help against atticus via poison heal and provide fighting coverage against steel and ice, amoonguss for spore support, brambleghast to eat stuff with its ghost immunity, so many options...

Because i enabled skip cutscenes, this was a bit jarring, koraidons transformation happened off screen and it just teleported to the cave soon after. (What defines a cutscene? I guess that's something else ill have to find out as we go along). That said, Koraidon vs houndoom isn't one despite it being similar to a cutscene...this is gonna be so awkward.

I tried defeating skwovet with 3 tail whips and a Tackle, but dandy's too weak to do that, so I had to use sprig to finish it.

Decided on catching a bounsweet (mango s=magosteen) I also found a sunkern, but, uts sunkern, and idk if sunflora is needed as while I listed the many grass types earlier, sunflora has no redeeming qualities I can think off that encourages me to use

Today I learnt Mud slap is in sprigs move pool...plus electric resist so this is easily trivialised. It could also come in handy against fire/steel types later if I don't find a mon that can handle those

*Does all the intro stuff off camera because it takes so long to do, regigigas slow start seems to wear off faster, offing cutscenes somehow didn't help, I guess stuff rendered in the game engine in real time is exe

(Oh and I was thinking if I could get weakness policy going, but it's post game. Dang, the one time it would be helpful..

Muscle memory making me attempt turbo boost when I haven't got it yet...but I'll get it soon after I beat klawf.

But before that, I did a quick tera raid after farming a spoink outbreak and evolved (accidentally via exp candies, though i admitedly didn't want sprigatito to evolve first again) Mangosteen and dandy, who helped defeat this tough trainer (and then I got floragato)

Applin was in a nearby raid, so I got it. Unfortunately I think it's gonna be an exp hog and wasted space as I'd need to wait a while before I cam even find the apples to evolve it (they're located in atticus area...dear arceus, can i even find an appl before beating atticus...) Probably getting the boot as soon as I find my 7th grass type. (Or not, 3 gym badges and I can evolve it. Just beat iono then I can choose flapple or Appletun, maybe the latter but I've not used either before so...)

Speaking of bulk, I Caught a skiddo. Following my plant based based names, I named it Goathead. There's a few plants named that, such as one with goat head shaped seeds, another with dried fruits that have curled horns and a third that has seeds that resemble the Spikes entry hazard.

Anywho, as for klawf, Mangosteen defeated it. (OK, I ended up running to the pokemon center and going broke getting regular potions to heal her after phase 1, but still she beat both). Oh and I found a role for her: my spinner. This isn't smogon so it shouldn't need to exist, but during my johto only playthrough last time, i wished my donphan had spin way too many times, so just to be safe...

And I got a smoliv. The level disparity is insane...and I still want to see if I can use brambleghast, breloom and scovillain at some point, but oh well.

I think I'll wrap up here, the groups mostly overlevelled, let's see if that matters when I fight katy next time.
