Now, I wouldn't do this cause that means Ash would have to give his Masters 8 team, but an alternate idea would've been if Ash used his old Pokemon threw out the World Coronation Series.

And the only positive that could been from this is it could've helped his Pokemon evolved more, Quilava into Typhlosion, Palpitoad into Seismitoad, Pignite into Emboar. The would be the only good thing.
