Pokémon almost never appears in Nintendo Directs. It has before (last time I think was Sword and Shield Expansion Pass, maybe Scarlet and Violet appeared once), but we're still like a year away from Z-A. Pokémon also sometimes hosts summer Pokémon Presents. The one in 2021 revealed Wyrdeer, Basculegion, and Hisuian Braviary for Pokémon Legends: Arceus. So if we get any Z-A info soon, it would be in a Pokémon Presents.
Not too disappointed. I wasn't expecting anything considering that Pokemon has its own news update thing so it wouldnt make much sense to put it in a wider news channel.
Wasn’t the direct only showing games that are coming out this year? And ZA is coming out next year.
@ShadowKitsune85 No. Dragon Quest I&II HD 2D and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are 2025 games and they were in the direct.
In that case, no I don’t really care that it wasn’t in
It was pretty expected, Pokemon (from what I can tell) seems like it'll only ever be in Nintendo Directs for the DLCs of games, as they might want to bring more attention to their new games and to not have other announcements overshadow them. And even when the Scarlet and Violet DLC was in the June direct last year (which was also great), it was the first thing in it, showing how they wanted the Pokemon game to have more of an impression on people's minds
That direct had so many interesting games I'm glad Pokemon wasn't there, it deserves it's own showcase so there's more time specifically for it.
I wasn't expecting to see it, so no.
Maybe we'll wait for the Pokémon Legends: Z-A gameplay reveal trailer until the next Pokémon Presents video presentation as of this August 2024 I think. That's all.😒
What do you think?
