Im not thinking Sylveon is the best by default, I think sylveon is one of the best because it subverts expectations, shows that aesthetics matter, and is beyond gender norms. I say this because at first you would probably think sylveon is just “cute” “girly” and “no” personality but it has hidden fangs, it also show’s aesthetics change out perspective on things. usually a mythical creature with tentacles coming out of its neck and head that are used for telepathy, weakening an urge to fight (might as well be alcohol) and can extend leading to this creature to go after dragons “many times larger than itself” would be seen as weird, and maybe even ugly, but making those ribbons pastel pink blue and white and making the base of the where the ribbons come from look like bows changes our perspective, speaking on the bows, I would like to add the fact sylveon has its bows in both traditionally masculine (bow tie) and traditionally feminine (hair bow) placing, reminding us cuteness can be multifaceted. this is why sylveon in my opinion is the best designed pokémon
