^^Mudkip's name is literally just a shortening of mudskipper.

Didn’t think this post would get as much hate as it did but I shouldn’t be surprised lol. I’ve always had a baseless hatred of Hoenn, and Mudkip got the butt of that. As I’ve matured, I’ve grown to enjoy Mudkip more, but I’ve realized how crappy Marshtomp, Swampert and Mega Swampert are.

What about this Water/Ground type mudfish Pokémon with a motorboat like tail-fin doesn’t look aesthetically appealing?

1. How it’s supposed to be a mudskipper

2. How mid it is compared to other water starters

3. Its faded color scheme

I feel like ground types in general have faded color schemes-

Personally i find it typewise a better Quagsire/Whiscash Who Can Mega Evolve and is right there from the Start in Gen 3.
