Why did no one tell me Shiny Rattata looked so cool in Quest?

For context, I went through my shinies in Quest this morning and afterwards cooked up a stew. As luck would have it, God gave me MY SEVENTH SHINY. And it was a pastel green Rattata (or yellow, depending on context).
