As soon as it's your turn on the waiting list here's some reminders while hosting a contest to make matters as fair as possible for you (the host), your participants and the staff team:
1. You must create a Sign-ups post before you start your contest/roleplay. This is the opportunity for other users to join. Once created, it must be available for over 24 hours to give as many users as possible a chance to enter.
2. For contests, any number of rounds can be selected, but around 4-8 is reasonable.
3. Each round must last for at least 6 days to give all users at least one free day of the week to work on and submit their entry.
4. After each round, you must create a Voting Poll unless if at least one user becomes disqualified or fails to meet the deadline.
5. Each voting poll must last for over 24 hours. This is to give as many users as possible a chance to cast their vote.
The figures in the table below indicate the number of days when a part of the event exceeds the Deadline date, or Notification - a ping you'll receive on the Pokemon Center Post indicating you can start your contest/roleplay. If it exceeds the number of days listed in the first column one of our mods (thread-moderator) will create a prompt post. Then, if the number of days exceed the value in the second column the mod may choose to cancel your contest. You may choose to postpone your contest/roleplay, but only one contest and/or roleplay can be postponed at a time.
Rule Update: 10 May 2024
If the next user in line to host is "inactive" - in other words not posted, or replied to a post within a period of 30 days, they will receive a One-time Notification - For "inactive" users, if it exceeds 24 hours without response, any moderator may choose to immediately cancel their entry and move on to the next one.
Any questions please ask. Looking forward to a fully flowing selection of contests and roleplays by the Easter holidays!
