Honestly I'd say journeys because it goes through all the regions and introduces most of the major characters that appear within the whole series, kinda like a recap

I'm bias for indigo league but at the same time that's the first season of the series so I would recommend you start from where it all started and that way, so you see how it all started for Ash and Pikachu.

I feel like you should watch journeys. In my idea its more "updated" than indigo league. You should still watch all of them :D

I ended up watching indigo league, I love the continous plot on the first 4 episodes, but I still got more to go.

@ShamarTheGuy well that's awesome what episode did you leave off on with indigo also are you watching it from pokemon.com or Netflix, because Netflix only has 52 episodes of indigo league and pokemon.com has the second half which is classified in the orange islands section but is part of the series technically in indigo league
