We got the cross/hybrids fossils in gen 8
Then literally nothing after that
I guess having a side mission where you revive the extinct pokemons was just too much effort to implement
Yknow like trees, that had so much effort into them
Or the tank animation
Maybe it's for the best
Now that other special groups of pokemon now are just no different to regular pokemon yknow like legendaries and given the lack of quality in these new games
