Um, you cant just generalize a group of things, you gotta realize that pokemon are kinda like animals with the mind of a human, so generalizing them just limits the stories that could be told with them. Its like thinking every Gardevoir is female just by looking at it :0

Maybe the genderless classification is because the fossils you find were of different sex when they were alive, so they have the reproductive organs of both male and female gender.
