I needed a bit to think about the list, but here we are, time to list my top 5 water types-

#5 - Vaporeon

Oh BOY, someone's gonna hate me for this. I do have a soft spot for all the eeveelutions and I think Vaporeon is well designed, but I've never used one before and therefore don't have any sort of sentimental feelings towards it. Also I love its shiny.

#4 - Tapu Fini

I have already stated that I have a love for a lot of the gen 7 pokemon(excluding bruxish), so this shouldn't be a surprise. I love Tapu Fini's design, and it's nice to have another Water/Fairy type. It WAS an absolute pain to catch, though.

#3 - Milotic

I love it, so much. It's super pretty and I find it super satisfying to pull a Wallace and toxic stall my enemies. This pokemon was an absolute BOSS on my moon team.

#2 - Samurott

By far one of my favorite water type starters. I got one through trading in moon and immediately swapped it in as my water type. I love its design(despite some people hating it) and I think its whole premise is cool.

Honorable Mention - Primarina

If I had to name two mythical creatures I love the most, it'd be phoenixes and mermaids. Primarina's design is very beautiful and I enjoyed using one in moon. (and bonus points for the crystals)

#1 - Gastrodon

YES. LOOK AT MY BOI. Gastrodon is super cute, super powerful, AND has one of the best cries. I have one on my shield team and let me just say, I didn't realize just how powerful it was. My Gastrodon ONE-SHOTTED a gigantimax Duraludon. It wasn't even dynamaxed! Yeah, this is STAYING at top of my list.
