Tinieblas (Tinieblas en Hispanoamérica por el anime, Night Shade en inglés) es un movimiento de tipo fantasma introducido en la primera generación.

En combate[]
- Primera generación
- Tinieblas resta una cantidad de PS equivalentes al nivel del usuario, por ejemplo, si un Haunter tiene nivel 50, este ataque al usarlo quitaría 50 PS.
- Este movimiento, a pesar de ser de tipo fantasma, es capaz de afectar a Pokémon de tipo normal y de tipo psíquico, ambos inmunes al tipo fantasma durante la primera generación.
- A partir de la segunda generación
- Tinieblas ya no afecta a Pokémon de tipo normal.
